My husband and I spent a relaxing week here. We found the house to be clean, open, well equipped and the a/c kept it cool even on the hottest Texas day. Enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the morning quiet and watching the deer. We also discovered a couple of great restaurants...the Italian Garden and the Wimberley Brew House. The listing and photos were accurate and we would happily recommend this rental!

The house was absolutely amazing. Very spacious and very, very clean. The view of the lake was fabulous! The distance to the horseshoe on the Guadalupe was in close proximity to the house. I would recommend staying here! We will definitely be back(-:

Great place to stay!

We brought the whole family and had plenty of room. Enjoyed watching the deer in the mornings and evenings. Chose because of central location to San Antonio, Fredericksburg, Gruene, New Braunfels, San Marcos. Very quiet. Well maintained. Lots to do in the area--be sure to go visit the FawnCrest Vineyard just the down the street. Also, lots of neat shops in Gruene--the Gristmill was OK but best food value was at Cantino Del Rio. Be sure and visit Gruene Hall--lots of good music. If you like German food, go to Friesenhaus Restaruant in New Braunfels--very authentic according to my husband whose mother was German. Come prepared to float the river--we didn't and wish we had. All in all, a great time!

Great house to rent

I loved this house! It was all new and functioned well for our needs for the weekend. I especially enjoyed the renting process - as last year things went poorly with the owners of our rental. We met the neighbor one night, nice fellow who keeps up the property. I enjoyed the seclusion of the area, it is in a neighborhood and so very quiet and peaceful. Well worth renting this property!!!!

Couples Getaway

We (3 couples) recently stayed at here (July 18th-21st). The house is just like the pictures only better! The Canyon Lake are is beautiful and very peaceful. We spent our days fishing and relaxing at the lake, floating the Guadalupe River, cooking out on the bar-d-q pit and my favorite sitting on the porch watching the deer! Of course us girls had to getaway to shop (the outlets in San Marcos are a beautiful 30 minute drive away). I would highly recommend the staying here. I know we are already planning to come back again next year!

WOW...Just got back from spending the most wonderful week ever! The home is exactly as the pics shows, awesome decor, very clean and beautiful. The owners James and Cyndi are most friendly and accomodating! We enjoyed meeting them as well. Our dog children Sam and Ore really were able to be off leash for a week running and romping around the big yard barking at the deer who they thought were bigger dogs than them (LOL) We also met the neighbors across the street Mac and Pat. They provided fresh grown tomatoes for us to enjoy for the week. Hadn't had fresh tomatoes in years. They were soooo good! They even invited us back to visit. This was a relaxing week for us so we did not do much. Visited some of the local places like the Dam near by, took alot of pics. "Buddy's" the store near by is awesome the people who work there are so accommodating and friendly! They have an extentive wine selection and other fresh food items. We visited them daily just to talk and get stuff we didn't need. We went down to the guadalupe river and walked around. We took the dogs everywhere we went they just had to be on leash. No problem with that as we include them in all we do and look for dog friendly adventures. We are dreaming about owning a place in this area in the future it's a perfect weekend get away location from Houston, TX. We will definitely be back!! Thanks for the opportunity to be ourselves and enjoy your beautiful home! This place Rocks and so do you!!! Love Love Love....

Charming Hill Country Getaway

My girlfriends and I rented this property to celebrate my 30th Birthday. We were quite pleased with the cleanliness and the decor! There were 7 ladies in all, and this home was absolutely perfect. It was very close to Gruene and the popular Canyon Lake tubing spots, and enjoying your morning cup of coffee on the spacious porch was like a little piece of heaven. The pictures do not do it justice. There were plenty of deer in the neighborhood (which we loved) and the water is within view from the porch. Most places we visited were approximately a 10 mile drive from the home, however, driving through the hill country is so beautiful that we actually preferred it. We often pulled to the side of the road to take pics. Places you MUST visit while staying here: Dry Comal Creek Winery, The Gristmill Restaurant, Canyon Lake Marina, Lucky Sailor Restaurant (at CL marina - ask for Kipp), and Tube Haus .

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at your new home. The home was very well appointed and comfortable. The location is perfect for day trips in any direction to see the amenities around the Canyon Lake and to travel to other sightseeing interests in San Antonio, Fredricksburg, Bandera, and Gruene.
