Why the Owner Chose Corkscrew Flats
The location of this property is fantastic!!! I can access miles of trails right from the house for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, hiking and road biking. I love being so close to town. I can walk the whole way to town via a sidewalk or take the free shuttle from right in front of the house. The shuttle will even take you up to the mountain for skiing, snowboarding, or mountain biking.
The Unique Benefits at this House
I love being so close to town but not right on main street. The view of horseshoe bowl from the Great Room window is stunning. Of course, the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom is one of my most favorite spots. So great after a hard day of hitting powder.....
Great trails for xc skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and mountain biking. plenty of parking at trailhead. take the Sally Barber Rd approx 1/2 mile up to see a fantastic old mine. moderate steady climb wi
Offers great tours of an actual old gold mine. Kids love it and you can pan for gold. please call for tour times.
Owner's Map of Corkscrew Flats
I moved to Breckenridge over 13 years ago in an attempt to satisfy my overwhelming craving for world class powder skiing and fly fishing. I have not looked back. Breckenridge is such an amazing place with a variety of things to do all year round. It is a veritable playground!!! I am lucky to have chosen the rewarding profession of nursing which allowed me to run the Homecare and Hospice Agency for Summit County for over a decade.

Our family of 6 adults, 3 children aged 7, 4 & 2 plus 1 happy dog enjoyed a 4 night stay. We found this home to be clean and well equipped. We especially appreciated the kitchen that allowed us to prepare nice family meals. The house is situated to allow for spectacular views, convenient for walking into town, trails & park & a very short trip to the gondola station. The hot tub was also very nice at the end of each day's activities. We had a wonderful time!

The home was as described and very comfortable. We were looking for ski in ski out and were a little apprehensive about using the bus to get to the slopes but it was very convenient and a non issue. The stop was literary 100 ft away and the bus was clean and on a tight reliable schedule. The hot tub was a pleasure after a long day on the hill. Our family stayed upstairs with a king bedroom and a bedroom with two twin beds adjoined by a jack and jill bath. Perfect for our two teens. We vacationed with another family that we are friends with. They used the main master for themselves and their baby and the pull out couch in the main living room for their 6 year old. Really liked the ability to bring our family dog on vacation too. All in all plenty of space and decor was very nice and the snow was perfect.

I can't say enough about how perfect our experience was staying in this lovely mountain home. The home was beautiful, clean and very well stocked. We loved coming back to the house after a day of skiing and jumping in the hot tub. The owner very accurately represented the house and we couldn't have been more pleased. We even got lucky by being given a Christmas tree to decorated which was very much unexpected and it was just the perfect touch to our holiday! My family of five would highly recommend this home.

We loved staying at this comfortable mountain home! Fabulous views of the Rockies from all angles especially the large living room window which faces Peak 7 and 8. During our month stay we watched the mountains change from green to brilliant yellows to snow-covered peaks! The home has everything you would need. It was great to be able to have our two small dogs with us, too. It is located about 1/2 mile up the mountain from downtown Breckenridge, which we liked for just a bit more quiet feel. The owner is most helpful and hospitable for any need or question you may have. A great place to stay!

My husband and I had a lovely time . We were able to have our dog with us which made it even better. The house was well furnished and comfortable. Noreen was available for any questions. It was nice to walk to town with Sophie and sit in the park/cafes or head to the dog park. Hope to get back soon.

I generally like to keep my reviews short, sweet, and to the point. This place had everything we could've asked for. The house was beautiful, clean, open....perfect. The master bedroom is first class. The upstairs bedrooms were perfect for the other two couples that joined us. Noreen was great to work with and everything was as advertised. The only question mark was the "within walking distance to Main Street". There is a shuttle stop literally 10 steps from the front door, so that was perfect, but you then must rely on the shuttle to get you back home. Walking from Main Street to this property is a haul to say the least (and all uphill). Minus that, this property was nicer than some of the top tier hotels we've stayed at throughout the years. Our entire party of 6 highly recommend this property and will be contacting Noreen again for our next visit.

The property has a private apartment on the upper level. When we stipulated to the owners/managers that we reserved the right to cancel the contract should that apt be in use during our weekend, we were told there would be no issues. Then, late into the evening on our first night, a couple checked into the apt a bellowed "HELLO" at a shared door. They continued banging around the apt for a couple of hours, including over the master bedroom. This continued on the second night as well. When we e-mailed the owners/managers to seek an answer, they simply ignored us. THIS WAS A LOUSY WEEKEND IN THE MOUNTAINS!!!
Owner response:I am saddend by this review as we have not had a bad review in the past 3 years of renting. Please note the other 12 positive reviews this property has received. It is very important to us that our guests feel pampered and have a spectacular vacation while they vacation here is Breckenridge. Be assured that we are attentive to your needs during your stay and will do our best to resolve any issues you have expeditiously. The apartment was not rented while this couple was staying at the Breckenridge Bungalow. It was under repair for a plumbing issue that i told them about before their arrival. I did respond to their phone call and assured them that the work was only being done during the day. I also offered them a free night to compensate for any construction noise they experienced during the day.
