All members of our family - from the youngest (4) to the oldest (75) - enjoyed gathering at this lovely home. Our visit was peaceful and pleasant in every way, and the house and property are quite comfortable and well-maintained. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

First, Steve is the best - always available for all my calls and questions before arriving, and lucky for me he was there when I arrived and showed me around. It is a lovely house in a secluded, beautiful and peaceful area just outside of Woodstock. Coming from the city with all its ambient noise, I couldn't believe how absolutely peaceful and quiet it was - especially in the fall when the windows are all closed. The house was clean, well maintained and all amenities listed were available. The heat is great - with temperature controls in every room. There is a huge TV screen with cable, DVD and VCR and drawers full of tapes to choose from. (Note that since the photos were taken, very good blinds were added to all the bedroom windows for privacy and cozy mornings.) I didn't try the fireplace or the separate sauna, but they look like added fun things. A must right nearby is the Bear Cafe in Bearsville, but call ahead and make reservations, particularly on the weekend. Plus if you're there on the Halloween weekend you must go to the Sunfrost Farms at night, right on the road between Woodstock and Bearsville, where they display around 250 amazing carved pumpkins, each different, some absolutely works of art, all lit up at night, which the staff worked on carving for days. I have never seen anything like it in my whole life. It's also a great healthfood store and luncheonette with fresh juices during the day. In Woodstock there's a great Italian restaurant, Cucina. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a perfect visit to the Woodstock area. Enjoy!

House is charming, cozy, and cabin-like. Feel like you are really getting away, but still have all of the modern amenities. The property is private, yet still very close to Woodstock, Kingston, etc... so it is the perfect mix of 'town' and country. Sauna and cold pond just another added perk. Owner a pleasure to work with.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this truly charming Woodstock home. We started to feel relaxed the minute we stepped on the property. Our child enjoyed the grounds and the swing set. Lots of uncomplicated fun.

We had a ball the place was great and had all the home comforts required to keep us entertained rain, hail or shine. If you enjoy privacy, serenity and getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life this is the place. Great space for the kids to run around and explore. Clean and tidy true value for money

A peaceful house set within a bush surround. We went in winter so experienced a snow-y winter wonderland at our doorstep and the fireplace came in very handy. But we would also recommend the property in summer. It's a quiet location with a great aspect. It's a close drive to the center of Woodstock and the wonderful Bear Cafe and not too far from the very yummy Cucina. The house amenities were functional and clean. The kitchen was very good and enough room in the lounge for a family to relax. The yard was large with a good play-set for children. We didn't use the sauna this time, but it was clearly well looked after. With large windows (and skylights in the two bedrooms) nature never felt that far away. We will go again.

This house was the perfect place for a family vacation. Close to the center of Woodstock, but secluded and private. The sauna was amazing, and the house was perfectly equipped and comfortable. The owner was friendly and informative about the area, and he really made sure the place was ready for us to enjoy to the fullest extent. We will cherish the memories made in this wonderful home!

My wife and 3 kids (8, 6 and 2) and I had a great time at this house. It was the perfect size for us with all the amenities we look for: washing machine, Internet, cable TV, a yard, reasonably close to town, more than 1 bathroom. We've stayed at 3 different properties in the Woodstock area and this was the best one. We'd definitely stay here again.
