  My neice Nina told me about Beachnest.com. I could not have been happier for the accomodations that were presented to us here at the Seashell Cottage, for us, being the first time away from home and kids in 20 yrs, It was like paradise. The Cottage was clean, quiet and secure. All the ammenities and information we needed was there and the views from the property where breath taking. I will most definetely be renting this property again! Thank You Liz

  We had a fabulous time at the Seashell Cottage. It is the perfect place to relax, reconnect and do as much or as little as you want. My husband and I both like to cook so spent our evenings out on the deck enjoying the beautiful view, drinking wine and cooking on the 'george foreman' grill. It was perfect! Days were spent on the beach and exploring the area. There are 2 sets of stairs down from the parking area to the cottage, my husband was on the tail end of recovering from knee surgery and did fine. To access the beach it is also a little bit of a walk even though the cottage is as close as you can get to the sea. We enjoyed everything about our stay and will be back again.

  If you are looking for a romantic, cozy, pet-friendly get-away, you've found it. The decor depicts perfectly that you are at the beach. Beautiful sunsets, ocean breezes and friendly surroundings. We have stayed at Seashell several time and have always enjoyed our stay. All the comforts of home. Our toy poodles love it too! Lynn, Steve, Max & Monty

  We arrived on Saturday afternoon, and it was raining. After we warmed up the place and got settled we enjoyed an evening inside with a good movie. The weather was excellent on Sunday. We went down to the beach and had a great stroll. We watched the sunset on the patio with some good wine and cheese - a fabulous view! We are leeaving with relaxed minds and great memories. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us. I love the attention to detail in the decor.

  We took the gamble of coming in winter. It was up to nature to decide. She gave us a stormy, wet week & we are grateful as this cottage served as our sanctuary, our cozy retreat and haven. Our bikes, kayaks and surfboard sat idle, and we nestled into this sweet place, to the sound of the pounding winter surf, torrential rains and stiff winds. Once in a while the sun broke through & we soaked up the warmth, soon to settle in for the next line of rain to hit. The window-sofa became a sacred hang-out, we even slept there at night. The birds came to visit and eat a few bugs in the cypress. A couple of Bewick's wrens, a hermit thrush, 2 brown towhees and some juncos. It's been a special week, retreating from the craziness of the world, listening to the rhythms of nature -- ahhhh there's a frog calling just now! We love the decor, fun and quaint. The bathroom floor - excellent faux tiles! Thank you ~ tons of negative ions taken in. Blessings!

  What better way to begin your vacation than being greeted by a fleet of dolphins jumping outside of your weekend home? That is how it all began, and it ended too quickly. We had a wonderful relaxing stay. My husband was completely surprised for his birthday. I think the dogs even look more relaxed! We had a blast ~ thank you! Kip & Amber + Poppy & Bella

  Thank you for allowing us to spend a romantic and spiritual getaway in this magical place perched on this sun-filled hillside. We truly relaxed with the ocean waves in the background.   What a wonderful little hideaway, especially this time of year.... The fall is sunny, warm and clear. It was a perfect birthday weekend for us and our Labs - Max & Candy. They, like their owners, love the beach! It was so wonderful to sit and bask in the sun and walk with the dogs on Manresa Beach. We wish we could have stayed longer. Although we don't live far away, it was so nice to get away and unwind for the weekend. We enjoyed it so much we hope to make it an annual event. Mona, Chuck, Max & Candy (woof)(woof)

  What a treasure! 2 nights were a mere tease and we look forward to future opportunities to get away and stay longer. We are especially delighted that our dogs had such hospitable environments.   I have had the gorgeous opportunity to spend an entire month in this special place. My husband was able to join me for a little more than a week, and it was wonderful to have a chance to explore on my own and then share my discoveries with him (and we came across a few together!) We had fantastic weather and such mild temperatures. I came to really enjoy the foggy quiet mornings for reading or sketching, and then sunny afternoon adventures followed by delicious simple meals with all the fabulous produce available here (quite different from Vermont - our home). I've never eaten so many strawberries in my life! Stocking up at the Monterey Farmers' Market on Tuesdays quickly became a habit, as did watching for seals, otters and dolphins on the beach beneath our little hideaway. Kayaking around the Elkhorn Slough was wonderful for critter-spotting, as was the trek down to Point Lobos Reserve (between Carmel and Big Sur). A trip not to be missed! With a couple hundred pictures, a full journal/sketch book and a refreshed mind, I'm looking forward to getting back to Vermont where I know I'll hold onto the unique warmth and beauty of the Central Coast for many winters to come!   It's been a great few days at the beach. Saw 4 dolphins playing in the surf. Felt like a well-rested vacation far away from busy work weeks though only about an hour away from home. It's been a relaxing birthday holiday for us and we'll be back ASAP. Thank you for sharing your cozy, comfy little place ~ perfect for our family. Debbie, Rich & Sammie the Lab.

  We hate to leave a day early but real life calls! Business in Seattle... We will truly miss falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean, walking the beach sitting in the sun on our own private terrace. Beats any hotel! Our dogs, Lily and Charlie, thank you for the freedom to watch the birds, lay in the sun or under a chair. We travel a great deal with our pets and loved being able to leave the door open 24/7.   We are leaving your wonderful cottage well-rested, relaxed and full of memories. Listening to the surf and breathing in the sea air made up for the lack of sunshine. Side trips to Monterey and Santa Cruz allowed us Seattleites some much appreciated sunshine. I am sure we will be back in the future as this is a wonderful place and beautiful area.
