Property was beautiful, The End! Now downside... When we arrived front porch was blocked off due to being painted, we had to go through the garage to get in. The front entrance was blocked off for two more days, we got used to going though the garage and maintenance area to get in and out. Everything in Telluride was closed, "Everything". Thank goodness the Gondola opened the day before we left. The manager (Kiefer) was the only saving grace. He really went out of his way to redeem our cash cow condo stay. However all the pools were closed and he said they would be up the next day. Two days later one of the hot tubs was up and the lap pool. We got one afternoon in. Throughout our stay they were washing down the facility and doing maintenance. The afternoon swim was almost relaxing with the exception of the fire alarm system going off for the annual test. Earlier in the day (while my wife was getting ready for the day) one of the technicians asked if he could come into our room and check everything. I asked him to wait until we left. We were gone for four hours. When we got back, the fire alarm test. Really, couldn't they have done this the six weeks between the ski season closing and the summer starting. Did they have to wait until the day before the summer season started? All of this we were ready to let go, yet after our afternoon (fire alarm) swim, my wife wants to take a Jacuzzi bath in our room. She fills up the tub, gets in, turns on the jets, and a flood of moldy water comes pumping in. She jumps out, we take photos, get one of the hired help to take a look, I wipe down the tub, wife takes a hot shower. All of these individual issues does not ruin this property, all combined leaves one to believe the management is not paying attention, which I question, Keifer was always very apologetic and tried hard to make it right. I think the burden lies with the owner or the management company. If Jenny (TellurideAlpinelodging) would have advised us of Telluride being dead this time of year, or telling us the unit has been shut down or that maintenance was going on we would have understood and probably rented somewhere else. Instead I think they just don't care. I am very disappointed, we spent a lot of money for a very disappointing experience. We have used VRBO several tines and we like them, this one, bust. I have learned, do not turst booking companies, ask a lot of questions. Jenny & Owner, if your going to be in the business, then be in it.

Staff was so helpful and accommodating. Rooms are large, clean and well-maintained. Great kitchen facility - we like to cook. Discovered cog train and loved it. Really, glad to say, no complaints.

Home away from home
We will stay at Bear Creek Lodge again! That is the ultimate compliment. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. No matter what question we had or what we needed, they kindly supplied the answer. The condo is just lovely. It is beautifully decorated and offers every comfort of a home. The kitchen was roomy and supplied everything needed for family time. The view into the aspen forest was just lovely. It made us feel as if we were completely removed from the hectic pace of day to day activities. The shuttle service is another fabulous service at Bear Creek Lodge. We parked our vehicle and called the shuttle bus when we wanted to leave the lodge. It took us to to the market, the gondola, or the core of Mountan Village. When we were ready to return, we called them and within minutes the bus picked us up. Wonderful service!
