Our large one bedroom condo is in Bahia Vista. It's in town nestled against the hills so it's easy to walk everywhere. It's just a short and level 3 block walk to the boardwalk, beach, restaurants and shops. Located out of the hustle and bustle but conveniently close by.
We absolutely love to have dinner on the huge deck watching the sun go down and the city lights come on. You can see a beautiful panorama from the canyon/mountains through the city to the beautiful harbor and Casino. Enjoy your favorite beverage while you BBQ and be relaxing in our favorite "restaurant" on the Island!
There are only six pools that we know of on the island and Bahia Vista's pool is excellent. It is in a courtyard so it's blocked from the wind. It also has a large spa/whirlpool for you to soak away your troubles (heated on weekends year round). The main pool isn't normally heated so it's really offered as a refreshing summer activity.
All sofa beds are not created equal. We searched high and low to find the most comfortable (and expensive) pull out queen sofa bed we could find. It's actually comfortable. We installed privacy curtains in the master bedroom so those sleeping on the sofa bed can get to the bathroom without disturbing the sleepers in the king bed. By the way, the king bed is actually two twins pulled together so if you want to separate them you can. We do have a porta-crib and a roll away mattress available for kids.
There is a large 30" TV in the living room and a 20" in the master bedroom. A DVD and VHS player are in the living room. We just put in a brand new dishwasher, stove and microwave in 2009!
We offer FREE long distance phone calls and DSL broadband internet so you can brag about your vacation to your friends on the mainland and surf the internet.

Why the Owner Chose Catalina Island, Avalon
It is in town but away from the crowds. Just a 3 block walk to the boardwalk. Really, no kidding, the huge patio is wonderful. Quiet, peaceful, scenic and comfortable.
