Excellent stay! Best accommodations on a week long trip to western Colorado. Great bed, great ambiance. Traveled with another couple, and the cost of a night stay was about equal to some pretty scurvy places we stayed at on other nights for the same price (note, for two couples). Felt like home, easy walking distance of the main drag, beautiful location in Ouray, Co! There's also a nice hot tub about two blocks away, which was very nice after a day on the road. If you're looking for a single night or a week this is the place to say: a real breath of fresh air compared to many of the other places that cater to the travelling public.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This is our 3rd stay at the Blue Spruce condo. It has become our home away from home. We always find the condo safe & peaceful. It is extremely clean, with up-to-date appliances, furnishings and decorating. We were impressed to find it stocked with all the things we need and expect. Free Wi-Fi, Cable, tv in living room & master BR, stereo, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer, fully stocked with glassware, dinnerware, silverware, pots & pans. You name it, they got it. All you need to do is check in & relax. Highly recommend.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

We have been coming to Ouray since our children were small (we are now great grandparents.) We have slept in tents, motels, bed and breakfasts and now this condo. This was the most delightful! The place was clean, comfortable, restful and gave unforgettable views of the spectacular setting. We have already recommended this place to family and friends and will continue to do so in the future. The owner was helpful and pleasant "above and beyond the call of duty." This will be our first choice for future stays in Ouray.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

After some serious camping in the mountains with 2 little ones we were ready for some luxury. After stopping at the Visitor's Center we headed to the Victorian Inn and discovered this condo was available. It was perfect. Clean, spacious, and centrally located, yet very quiet. With our original intent to stay 1 night we couldn't resist to stay 2 more extra days. The extra hot hot tubs were a definite plus. We highly recommend staying in the condos available from the Victorian. We raved about it so much that friends took a trip to the same location and were also highly impressed. We will definitely rent this condo again on our next trip!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

The five of us had plenty of room to spread out in this clean, affordable condo a couple of blocks from downtown. It was great being able to walk to dining, grocery store and attractions. The owners have furnished these condos with comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen was well-stocked and we used the outdoor grills by the river. Dining and living rooms had plenty of room for up to six people. We would like to stay here again the next time we visit (we come up almost every year). If you come be sure to hike the Perimeter Trail and visit the Box Canyon Falls. Rent a four-wheel drive and check out Yankee Boy Basin or Imogene Pass if you get a chance.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

This condo was open for the evening and we were lucky enough to find it. It was very clean and well-maintained. We were close enough to walk to the Brewery, restaurants, and bakery. We spent time hiking and enjoying the outdoors. The condo had everything. All we had to do was carry in the suitcases and make the coffee. We enjoyed Maggie's Place for sandwiches and the Ouray Brewery for a beer. We walked up to the bakery for breakfast. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in a beautiful location.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Spruce Condo. Michael and Wendy were great hosts and they keep the places in great shape. We were especially impressed with how clean they were. Centrally located and right next to the creek. We will be back next year... Uh, I do want to see hummingbird feeders as they are everywhere and nothing to eat ;-) Wendy, put the juice in the room and I'll keep the feeders filled. Thanks! We arrived at our accommodations and were very pleased with the cleanliness and overall appearance of the unit. Everything was as stated and we enjoyed our stay tremendously. It is close to downtown and you can hear the river flowing and we opened our window at night and enjoyed this. The only negative commnet I have was the curtness of the front desk clerk when we checked in, her comments about several items that did not come with the condo were given in a very unpleasant manner. No breakfast, no linen service, you have a washer & dryer if you need clean linens...other than that it was a great stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

About the owner: Michael & Wendy are the owners of this beautiful condo in Ouray, CO. We both were born and grew up in Chicago. After living and working for 40 years in the Chicago area, we were tired of the City lifestyle that we had always known. In 1991, we packed up our family and moved to Ouray to start our Colorado adventure. We have two children who both attended and graduated from the Ouray schools. After graduation they went on to graduate college at Colorado School of Mines, Stanford and Arizona State University. They now pursue life and careers in Denver and Houston. Unlike most people who move here because of the beauty, we chose Ouray because of a business opportunity, to buy and operate a Motel. We liked the idea of being open for 6 months of the year and having 6 months off to enjoy life. We ran our Motel as a successful family business for 14 years. We enjoyed meeting and getting to know our guests and their families. We learned what was important to them and how we could best serve them. We built a thriving and successful business that left our guests as friends and helped them create memories for a lifetime. Since moving to and living in Ouray for over 20 years, we have come to love this area for all its charm and natural beauty. We still are in awe of the mountains, scenery and the family friendly community. In 2005 we decided to sell our business and retire. In 2008, Portland Park Condos became available for sale. We always enjoyed the lodging business and felt that this would be a good way to still remain active and get the chance to be a part of doing something we enjoyed. Since purchasing our condos, we have improved and upgraded each unit to make them feel more like home. We have concentrated on the small details that we know are important to guests. We continue to live in Ouray as a choice because we cannot imagine another place as beautiful or friendly with a perfect climate. Come to Ouray and let us show you what life is like in Paradise.
