You'll have the best family vacation ever in this custom-built cottage nestled in the maritime forest in the heart of picturesque Bald Head Island.
This beautiful three-bedroom coastal cottage was completed in late 2008. We've filled it with bright, comfortable furniture.
Bald Head is accessible only by passenger ferry or private boat. Visitors and residents travel around the island by golf cart, bicycle or on foot.
Two golf carts, beach chairs & umbrella and beach toys are included in your rental fee. Kayaks and bicycles are available for rent on the island.
A COZY COMFORTABLE COTTAGE
The downstairs includes a spacious living room with 42 inch HDTV and a dining area opening into the deluxe kitchen which features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. It's fully equipped with everything you'll need. Or use the Webber charcoal barbeque grill and enjoy dinner on the large screened-in porch.
All of the bedrooms are decorated in an island-motif and each has its own full bathroom. Each also has comfortable bedding with plenty of room for all your belongings.
The master bedroom features a King size bed, a spa-like shower and a balcony. One of the guest rooms is fitted with a Queen size bed, and the children will love the bunk beds in the third bedroom. The home is equipped with a porta-crib and playpen.
Upstairs you'll also find a sitting room with a second HDTV.
A variety of games, puzzles, and books will help pass the time when you're not strolling on the beach, hiking in the forest, kayaking on the creek or fishing along the shoreline.

Bald Head Island's 14 miles of beaches can be accessed at any of the 42 public beach entrances. We provide everything you need for a day of fun: boogie boards, beach toys, beach chairs and umbrellas, coolers, and beach towels.
Your vacation home is centrally located on the island -- a short stroll from the Market and its Ice Cream Shoppe and less than a 3 minute golf ride to the beach.
Membership in the Shoals Club OR Bald Head Island Club is included if you desire but there are no golfing privileges.
The Shoals Club is located at the historic eastern point of the island where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Cape Fear River. Enjoy gourmet indoor dining or grab lunch at the poolside Tiki bar.
The Shoals Club has a full size pool, a large, separate children's pool and a fitness center. Complementary towel service as well as beach-front chairs and umbrellas are included.
The Bald Head Island Club offers four tennis courts, three croquet courts, and an Olympic size swimming pool as well as upscale and casual dining.
Visitors love the ocean views from the Peli Perch where they can watch the dolphins while sipping a beverage or enjoying a sandwich or a pizza.
Our home is a non-smoking home and pets are not allowed.

Our multi-generational family enjoyed our vacation at BHI so much and Pa's Place was perfect for all ages. Our teenage neice particularly enjoyed the upstairs sitting area where she could read and enjoy TV without a 2 year old and her "old" aunts and uncle. We always enjoy the Shoals Club and the golf carts. This year the guys took paddle boarding lessons and the girls had an afternoon at the Spa. Perfect weather topped the week for us. This was our second experience renting from Mike and Anne and once again we found their property well maintained and wonderfully outfitted. They are great to contract with and since they are on the island, they are always quick to respond to questions and requests. We'll definitely rent another BHI from Mike and Anne! Already planning our next trip to BHI!

My family stayed in this home March 2011 for 3 days. Mike was a great hands on owner who was helpful when we had questions. The home is how you see it ... well appointed, clean and very close to the beach (3 minute cart ride). Being set amongst the tree's it made for a very relaxing retreat. The shopping is only 2 minutes away and you can venture to any part of the island from here in less than 10 minutes. We would stay here again. The island is beautiful, a retreat from all the of life's stresses. Cell phone coverage for AT&T was great but I had a few folks with Sprint say it was spotty (but who really wants cell phones on a vacation anyway)!

What a great vacation ! We brought our mothers along for a long weekend to celebrate Mother's Day. The house is beautiful, and the porches and decks were great for relaxing, reading, and enjoying a cup of coffee. One morning, a deer explored the woods just outside the screened in porch! It's a great benefit to have the two carts as well as bicycles so everyone could explore the island on their own. We have been to BHI several times; we rent different places each time so we can experience the island from many perspectives. But we've already decided to rent from Mike again - either this home or one of his others. This home is clean, beautifully furnished, and well-stocked !

Our family of two adults and three children (ages 1, 4, and 5) enjoyed a fabulous week at this home over Memorial Day week. The home is beautifully appointed and so comfortable. It is in a perfect location on the island: close to the beach, close to the market, close to the marina. We didn't have to bring any beach supplies as the home has chairs, towels and even sand toys for the kids. We couldn't have asked for better accommodations and the owner was so helpful in planning our stay.

This was our families first visit to BHI. The house was everything described in the listing. It was a beautiful home, nicely decorated, great location, and very well furnished. Having two golf carts and two adult bikes were nice additions. Mike (owner) was very helpful and is local to the island. I would highly recommend this house if you are considering BHI for your vacation destination.

This home is beautiful! We used it for 4 nights--two couples. It's spacious, sparkling clean, well decorated and perfectly located. I've stayed in several VRBO listings and this is the nicest overall. The owner was helpful and available. Highly, highly, recommended!

What a beautiful and peaceful home! Our family of four stayed at this beatifully decorated home for over a week. The home was spacious and well decorated and there are many fine details in the home. The location of the home is excellent and close to everything! The porches provide a relaxing space to get away. We would definitely stay here again.
