We had the most wonderful time in Maui. The condo is very cozy and it felt like home. My husband is very fussy with staying in places, but he loved this condo. Great location and you thought of everything when furnishing this place. We will definitely be back!

We were so delighted when we opened the door and saw the condo. We really enjoyed all the extra things that made it feel more like home. Since we were here for three weeks, we especially appreciated how comfortable everything was. The location was perfect, also with the farmers market, grocery store, and fish market nearby. Thanks for making our visit to Maui PERFECT!

What an amazing spot to call home on our Maui stay. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the newly redecorated touches as well as the coziness of the place. It was wonderful to have the cooler and beach chairs for the beach! Mahalo nui loa for sharing your home with us. We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful trip! Your condo is an oasis--we could not have asked for a better place. This have spoiled my wife on her first visit to Maui! We will share this with others for sure. This property is a great value.It was exactly as depicted in VRBO listing. I have never been to Maui, and I knew I did not want another hi-rise. This was an older building, but the grounds were immaculate and it had a nice size pool. It was in a great location, and we loved it. The condo was homey and comfortable, all that we could of wanted. No glitz, no big flashy place, but perfect for us. Lots of little extras. Great remodel!! My husband loved the recliner. Nice to have an easily accessible parking area. We give it two thumbs up. Excellent Interior and Perfect Location, Not Great Views

We LOVED our recent 5 night stay at this property. The interior has been recently renovated and upgraded to include every amenity you can think of. This condo was as close to "home" as we could ever hope for and definitely deserving of 5 stars in this regard. The "ant problem" that some have mentioned is true of just about every location in West Maui. Yes, there are ants in Hawaii. We stayed on the 5th floor of a luxury hotel in Kaanapali one Summer and had a MUCH worse time with them than we did this trip. Of course, it was July so that is to be expected. My advice to anyone staying here: Use the tools the owners have given you to make your stay more pleasant. 1. Take out your garbage. 2. Store opened food in the fridge. 3. Don't spray, bait. There are bottles of Terro ant bait in the cupboard. Place a few drops on a few pieces of paper and place them in the corners of the kitchen and bathroom; anywhere you see ants that people won't accidentally step on them. Ants will swarm for the first day or two on the locations and then suddenly dissapear completely. Worked perfectly for us. No more hassle after that. Now, why not 5 stars? While we LOVED the interior, we weren't thrilled with the apartment exterior or the proximity to beach views/access. The exterior reminded us of some of our college apartments we lived in; two story brick numbers with fairly standard windows/stairs, etc. The property doesn't have a beach directly off of it, but there is one down the road a bit, just not the greatest in the area. We didn't have our son with us so it wasn't a big deal to get in the car every time we wanted to go watch a sunset or swim at the beach, but we did find ourselves making that trip a lot more than if we had been right on a beach or been able to see the ocean from the patio. While the communal decks are accessible, there's just something special about having your back patio open right out to the ocean that you come to expect in Maui. However, the price perfectly reflects this inconvenience and the ad is in no way misleading so I still give the property a solid 4 out of 5. Again, we LOVED our stay and if it's just the two of us going to Maui again, we'll definitely consider this location again. Kurt and Rachel

We just returned from Maui on March 31, and we are still pining for the island, the fresh pineapples and our accomodation. After a hectic time getting to the island, we opened the door of this lovely apartment we knew we made a great choice. After what has been a stressful year for us, it was a pleasure to discover this property, where we could go after a day exploring the island and just relax. The property is exactly as seen in the photos, so there were no surprises. It was also very clean, and the owners were very diligent with keeping in touch with us prior to our arrival. It was seamles. I would definitely recommend this property to others. The bed is king sized, and very comfortable. We enjoyed falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked with everything that a person would need to cook a meal, including some spices. We even left a couple of our own behind. We barbecued more than once at the communal barbecues, and had breakfast at "home" every morning before venturing out for the day. There is a grocery store close by, where we were always picking up things, including lots of Maui Gold pineapples ... we miss those ... did I mention that?? While there is no ocean view from the lanai of this unit, we enjoyed coming back in the late afternoon to sit and enjoy a drink and relive the day, watching the birds and admiring the flowers and listening to the ocean. The lanai has a lovely table and chairs. Another bonus was that there were beach chairs, some mats and a boogie board available to use, as well as a small cooler. We also recommend Duke's Beach House for dinner out. We tend to travel to places we've never been before, but the idea of coming back to Maui for another holiday is certainly in our minds. We had a wonderful time in Claire and Tracy's condo on Maui. It was a great location, easy to find, and beautifully decorated. They supplied all the paper products and other items that we very much appreciated and not expected. We found much to do and see while we were on Maui and will be back. Thanks so much for the use of your beautiful condo. My wife and I had a wonderful time in Maui. Highlights were visiting the Olivine Pools, snorkeling at Honolua Bay, and walking the bamboo forest on the road to Hana. Oh--and of course--the beautiful sunsets from your back deck! Right away we fell in love with your "home away from home" feel. My hubby had us running all over Maui and I just wanted to get "home" to our little beach! My husband and I stayed at this property in July of 2010 for a week. Upon arriving, the place looked rundown and old from the outside, but we were pleasantly surprised at the renovations inside. Our disappointment came when we had to deal with sugar ants all over the place. They first appeared in the bathroom, then in the kitchen. We were sure not to leave anything out on the counters, so were very surprised when we found them. I did email the owners who quickly apologized and let us know that there was ant spray in the pantry. We found ourselves spraying and respraying for ants all week. Not something that I want to be doing on my vacation.

Owner response:We were sorry that you had a disappointing experience staying at our special place in paradise. We work hard to maintain a deluxe condo that is available at an affordable price when compared to similar units. The informational materials available to our renters when they arrive offer many tips for a wonderful stay in the tropics, including the avoidance of tiny sugar ants common in Hawaii. We cannot control the extent to which our renters follow these instructions and maintain the unit while they are there. Keeping clean counters in the bathroom and kitchen is key.

We really enjoyed this fabulous condo! Easy access to the beach and all the upgrades make this place very comfortable and pleasant. It is stocked with everything one needs for a home base to explore beautiful paradise. What a wonderful piece of heaven you have here. We have been on Maui for a month and your condo is the most "Hale Sweet Hale" we've had. That, by the way, includes some of the upscale resorts! We love the more intimate two-story complex. The interior, bath, and kitchen with lovely appliances is equal to the resorts, plus all the supplies, comfortable couch, and deck!
