This charming shingled cottage is right at the water's edge of Vinalhaven's Old Harbor. We have a haul off along with a mooring for use right in the harbor.
The kitchen is a white painted kitchen that is fully equipped, a dining area, plus a covered porch for enjoying the views and outdoor dining at the water's edge. The living room has a fireplace and we provide wood and kindling. A monitor heater for cool days.
The master bedroom, upstairs, has a queen bed with a balcony over-looking the harbor. The second bedroom has two double beds. One full bath on second floor. If you love Maine Islands, this is for you. Vinalhaven has many fresh water swimming quarries, hiking trails, rocky beaches and a great village to shop and dine in. The Island is the lobster capital of the State of Maine and it is easy to watch all the lobstering and fishing activity going on right out your window. You will truly love this spot and want to return!

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1990
I am a native of the Island and have been married to my husband for the past 30 years.
I owned and operated Vinalhaven Realty on the Island for 26 years and have recently retired. My husband is still a full time lobsterman.
This property was once my Father's fish house and I grew up with my two Sisters on Old Harbor. It is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful spots on the Island and is so convenient to everything. The Village is only a mile and a half away.

This property has been in my family for generations. I built the cottage new 20 years ago.

We do our best to provide everything you will need and to keep the property in tip top condition and totally clean. You are only 52 feet from the ocean, the fireplace works really well, there is a place to moor your boat and a haul off for a dingy. We are fussy!!!
