Relax and enjoy yourself at a charming beach cabin on beautiful Lac Courte Oreilles! This is a special place and a prime location! This one-story cabin sits on a wide sandy beach only 40 feet from the water's edge. With a wooded lot on one side and quiet neighbors on the other, this is a very private setting. The cabin sits level to the lake with a wide sandy beach out front. There are no rocks or steep steps that you have to navigate to get to the dock or water. The crystal clear water drops off gradually so it offers a very pleasant setting for swimming and water sports.
The cabin is very casual yet inviting and comfortable. It sleeps 8 people in 3 bedrooms. There's a master bedroom with a queen-size bed, a second bedroom with 2 twin beds and a third bedroom with two bunk beds, which offers a cozy and fun sleeping area for young kids. The bathroom is large with lots of closet space. There's also a fun outside shower by the side of the deck that allows you to rinse off after swimming, if you so choose. A nice deck wraps around the front and side of the beach cabin - a perfect place to put your feet up and relax with a favorite beverage.
If you are not familiar with the area, Lac Courte Oreilles is considered one of the premier lakes in the area. The lake water is Boundary Water quality! The lake itself has a sandy bottom and is weed and rock free near the shore. The cabin is located on the southern shore of the middle bay of the lake. On warm sunny days, the prevailing winds are usually from the south. The resulting calm lee shore is protected from the wind and waves and is wonderful for beach and water actiivies.
You can rent or bring your own boat. We offer our guests the use of a boat lift, which is capable of holding a 15-20 foot long boat. A paddle boat and 18 foot Alumacraft fishing boat are also available. The fishing boat is not equipped with a motor but you can rent one easily. Seat cushions and PFD life preservers are also available for your use.
Lac Courte Oreilles is well known for its excellent fishing and clean water. We are only 15 minutes from Hayward, a great little town made famous for its Lumber Jack Days, Musky Festival, great restaurants and fun shops.
We are renting our cabin once again this summer, but we have also decided to offer it up for sale. However, all renters are quaranteed their reservation. A buyer will not be offered possession of the cabin until after Labor Day. For more information about price and terms, please contact the owner by phone or email. This is a private sale. Why the Owner Chose Hayward
About five years ago Mary and I bought the beach cabin next door to our lake cottage so that all of our five children and their families could be together at the lake at the same time. During that period it has been a work in progress replacing those essentials (deck, exterior doors, lakeside casement windows, bathroom facilities, hot water heater, floor coverings, furniture and etc.) that are necessary for a comfortable and casual vacation. More is planned for the future and when it is not being renovated or used by our family or relatives, we would like to rent it out to friends and acquaintances.

We had a wonderful vacation at this delightful cabin on beautiful Lac Courte Oreilles. The cabin is impecably clean, is simple with a "cottage feel". The main living space is open and airy with windows all around revealing the beauty of the lake. It comfortably sleeps 6-8 people! The setting is spectacular with the beautiful, clean lake and the sandy beach. The water is so clear (you can see the bottom which reveals no weeds) a plus for kids and adults : ) The beach and the dock allow for lots of water fun! There is space for a boat, Jet Skis and water toys. With the lake being so big you can enjoy boating without worrying about other boats and overcrowding! Our three girls consider this their favorite vacation spot and even dream about returning for more summer fun! There are lots of things to do besides fishing and boating on Lac Courte Oreilles.... there is Angler's Haven a place to get a drink or pizza right on the lake as well as many nearby restraunts where you can get a great fish fry! The town of Hayward has lots of fun shops including Trembley's Candy Store, a wonderful bakery and Ronning's a great place to purchase t-shirts and other local items. To be able to have a vacation in Northern Wisconsin is a gift.... and this location is the whole package!

My family and I rented this cabin at the tail-end of summer 2010. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for. The hosts were incredibly welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed (even suggested a great restaurant) and then gave us our space to enjoy our vacation. Can't say enough good things about it. Beautiful lake views from the cabin. Plenty of space (we had family come stay also and slept 8 easily---the bathroom is huge so no issue sharing with everyone), loved taking out the fishing and paddle boat with the kids. One of the best things is that it has a big deck facing the lake--you can sit up there, have a beer and watch the kids safely on the beach/in the shallow water. The water is shallow all the way to the end of the dock and beyond so we were comfortable with our 6 year old and 2 year old boys (in life jackets) exploring, finding frogs, snails and whatever else little boys dig up. Would not hesitate to recommmend to anyone. This is a "cozy, welcoming, family cabin" that is perfect for a get-a-way. Can't say enough! Thanks for a great vacation!!!

This is a fabulous place to relax. I have been going to this lake to vacation since 1977 and it is very hard to find a cabin to rent. The owners are very accommodating and wonderful people. Everything on the website is very accurate. The cabin is spacious and extremely clean with a wonderful private beach. The is no better place to water ski. Sometimes we have gone a week before we see another boat. Hayward has many activities. Our first stop is usally the dairy for ice cream. We have been driving 1000 miles for 35 years to this heavenly place. We are very fortunate to have found a fabulous cabin. I highly recommend this property. Kathy

3 friends and I had 2 days of fun and frolic on this beautiful lake. Every living area of the cabin has a view of the lake. The dock is right there. And guess what? Access to a tennis court! One of my friend's said, "It's like the "Court of Dreams, If you build it they will come!" We had a wonderful time of tennis, food, and fellowship. Sitting by the lake and drinking coffee on the porch in the morning will be a favorite memory for years. Everything was there that we could possibly want. I can't wait to come back!
