This Townhome is very comfortable and makes you feel at home. It is conveniently located with a Publix and other shops across the street. Orange County National Golfclub is a 10min drive. There is a jogging path and possibilities to work out closeby. The townhome itself has a lot of amenities like a grill, a playstation and even a piano. This past winter, we had the good fortune of visiting my brother and sister-in-law for a few weeks in Florida. The townhouse is owned by my nephew and his wife. It was an amazing vacation. The property was immaculate, and plenty of room. They have everything you would ever need "away" from home. I can't think of anything that wasn't close by to get too. Groceries, gas ,restaurants, ect. The major atrractions were literally minutes away. We were on Disney properties every day. After saying that, its amazing being so close, and no traffic!!!!!!!!!! The community its self is lovely. You can walk around a lake and even see the fireworks at Epcot and Disney. There is not a lot of rentals in Windermere, and since my sister lives there we were excited to find this place. The location is great- right across from a Publix and a complex with a great French Bakery, and right on the back side of the Magic Kingdom so close to get to Disney. There is a park one block over if you have kids, and a nice long bridge going over a lake to a neighboring subdivision, so it was fun to explore around the townhouse. The townhouse was in great condition and it was really nice to have a grill. There was enough baking and cooking equipment so we could easily cook dinner there- they even had tupperware for our leftovers. This was a great alternative to a hotel, and with 2 kids it was much nicer to have all the room and separate bathrooms. There was plenty of towels and blankets as well. The communication with the owner was very detailed, and they always responded promptly and made sure I had all we needed before our arrival. We stayed over Christmas and they even put out a Christmas tree! I would definitely recommend anyone stay here is they are visiting central Florida!Did you find this review helpful? My family and I loved this place! My kids were calling it their "new house" by the end of the week. It's a great, quiet neighborhood with a nice entrance you can't miss. It is conveniently located within a short drive to all of the parks, and easy to get to from the airport. It's a clean, spacious townhouse with all the amenities of home, including the "no place like home feeling". After a long day at the parks, it was great to come home, have a seat on the couch and order in. And with some shopping options literally across the street we even stocked up and made some home cooked meals. Clean, well-sized, comfortably appointed townhouse, with everything you need to make this a home from home. It was in the perfect location for our stay water-skiing on nearby surrounding lakes, and close to all major routes and attractions. There are some great local comunity amenities in Winter Garden for all eating and shopping needs. Friendly and professional owner. We were extremely fortunate to be able to stay at Derrick's town house for 2 1/2 months while our home was finished being built. This home was truly a home while we waited to move into our house. Not only does it have everything a family with kids could want (the bunkbeds were a hit with our kids) it is fantastically convenient to Disney and you can even view the fireworks from the front yard. If anyone travelling with kids is needing a great place to stay at a great price that is close to all attractions then this is the place. I also cannot express how great and hospitable the owners of the townhouse are too. We chose a townhouse in Windemere to celebrate my daughter's wedding. This townhouse was such a treat because our family was able to stay together. It was affordable, conveniently located, beautifully decorated and wonderfully maintained. We would highly recommend Home Away and this townhouse in particular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! This townhouse is well maintained and includes everything you need for a relaxing vacation! Located in a great area- approximately 20-30 minutes from everything we wanted to do in the Orlando area. Owner was wonderful to work with- very responsive and provided great information about the area and amenities as well as driving directions. Would stay again!Owner response: Aw, you are too kind! This spacious and comfortable townhouse made us feel like we were at home! It is well appointed with all you need to have a great get away! The location is wonderful with easy access to the parks, groceries, and restaurants. Unfortunately we were not able to see the fireworks from the condo due to the torrential downpours we had for our few days. Nonetheless, it was a great place to come home to, even if a little soggy, and relax for the evening. We had a wonderful week and really enjoyed having a home away from home at this condo. We were minutes from Disney and all the other attractions, grocery stores, Walgreens, restaurants and more! My 5 year old really enjoyed the piano in the house and we liked the convenience of being able to make our own meals and get away from the heat at any point during our hot Disney visits and we could watch the fireworks every night from the parking lot in front of the house. The owners were very nice, helpful and they made the whole process very easy. We had a great week!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Townhouse is a great place, clean, everything you would need, very close to Disney and one exit from Seaworld. Great for a family Subway near by, and a pizza place Cici's that has soup, salad, and pizza, all you can eat for $5. Can't beat that. Plus a Walgreen and supermarket close by. I would recommend this condo for anyone.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you are looking for a comfortable, affordable and centrally located place to stay while visiting Disney then this townhouse in Windermere is the place to stay. This townhouse was easy to get to, very clean, nicely furnished and extremly comfortable- we slept better than we do at home! It includes everything you need- kitchen is fully stocked with all the amenities if you choose to eat in. We preferred this rental experience over the Hotel/Resort experience as found it more relaxing especially with a 7 year old. We were not confined to one room like in a Hotel. It was a lot less expensive too! We had a great experience and will be doing it again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The place was perfect. Everything was just as it appeared in the pictures. The owners went out of their way to provide infomation about the area. Perfect Vacation spot Our stay at the Windermere Townhouse was great. The condo is an excellent size for a family, the three bedrooms allowing everyone their own space. It is centrally located between the Disney World parks and Universal Studio parks so finding entertainment is easy. The owner was helpful and easy to work with he provided tips on dining and entertainment, and made the entire experience a pleasure. We had a great time and would definitely recommend for any family looking to vacation in the Orlando, FL area.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Wow... Where do I begin! We loved everything about this home! It was VERY clean and very beautiful! My daughter enjoyed watching the fireworks from our front porch and thought that was pretty neat. This home had anything you could need! Our stay at this home truely was a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!!! We look forward to staying again... We had never been "off property" on a Disney Vacation, so we really did not know what expect. We truly enjoy hotels for there cleanliness, modern touches, and comfort, so staying out of the park felt, well.. a little uncomfortable. UNTIL. we pulled into this community! Wow, beautiful homes, and beautiful curb appeal.We thought,well if the inside looks half as nice as the surroundings, well than it must be good. Again..Wow! The size of the Kitchen, the cleanliness, the size of the dining and family room, everything just welcomes you, but with a non-corny vacation home feel. The stainless appliances, the modern media touches, the window treatments, everything just flows. You feel in Vacation mode instantly. Upstairs was a treat, the Master bedroom was a retreat all in it's own, the color choice,and the flat screen on the wall,made it feel like a "Deluxe" resort, the spacious closet, and oh best of all, the Master Bathroom! With a deep soaking tub and plenty of space for both of us to get ready! The boys had there own bathroom ,and it also had a deep soaking tub, and the decor was so "Disney", meaning, just the right amount of "Mickey" not over done, (tasteful disney decor). The second floor laundry was just a bonus(as if I needed a Bonus thus far)The bedrooms for the kids could have there own review! The "No Wake" Room, was so clever with a play on words involving palms and surf boards, the color choice again was so tasteful and retreat feeling, and the twin over full bunk beds are a perfect detail for families,and the Mattresses, well put it this way I went out of my way to find out where the bought them! But I have to say the "Flip flop" room was my fav! It was anything but a "Flop" The bright sunny colors and window treatments will make any girl smile, the contrast of the brilliant pink and green against the white twin over full bunk was so nicely done. Well I guess I could just have enjoyed the town house for the week! With the easy walking trail around the lake, and the nightly viewing of the Magic Kingdom fireworks from right out front! The parks are a "Flick of the Wand" away! Minutes away and the navigation is done for you and in Disney Style! And the ease of cooking in that huge kitchen makes it delightful to come "Home" and cook a nice meal or enjoy a great breakfast before "charging the parks" for the day! We do love this place and coming back for a non Disney vacation would be just as Magical! I could not believe how beautiful the townhouse was. Clearly the pictures did not give it justice. Very modern and spacious yet warm and welcoming. We felt as if we lived in the home all this time. We were minutes from Disney and only 4 miles to the main gate and all the theme parks. Very kid friendly, especially if you have infants or toddlers. Less than 5 minutes to a local grocery store (Publix) and all the major stores you are used too, e.g. Target, Walgreens, Walmart, etc. I would recommend this property (and I have) to perfect strangers, family and friends. We are booking again for next winter and look forward to relaxing in our "home" away from home!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My stay at the Windermere Townhouse was great. The house is perfect in size and accomodations, and is within ideal proximity to all Disney parks. You can even watch the full firework display from Epcot and Magic Kingdom right from the doorstep. Great experience, and I would definately recommend for any family vacation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
