Surfing or Fishing anyone? Then bring your board and pole! Manressa Beach is noted for the best waves in the entire Monterey peninsula. It is one of the most popular fishing spots as well. Or take a romantic walk along the beach and collect shells and sand dollars!
La Selva Beach is a quaint and quiet little village that you will fall instantly in love with! It is centrally located to enjoy lots of wonderful family activities; which include great Golf Courses, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Shopping in Santa Cruz, Aptos, Capitola or Monterey and many others. Not to mention the many, many wonderful local Restaurants and Wineries!
The beach house is 2000+ sq.ft. which includes original hard wood floors throughout the main floor; 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths; fully equipped kitchen; dining and living room; 2 decks in front with enclosed backyard. Feel free to bathe al fresco in the hot/cold outdoor shower located next to the garage. We are pet friendly.
Bedroom 1 (see photo) has queen bed, couch, satellite TV and a peekaboo ocean view. French door leads to the enclosed backyard.
Hall Bath 1 (see photo) has vintage blue tile, shower, separate tub.
Bedroom 2 (see photo) includes a twin bed with an additional twin pull-out trundle bed, large desk and French doors leading to the backyard.
Hall Bath 2 includes a shower and exterior door to backyard.
Bedroom 3 (see photo) is upstairs with open beamed ceiling, queen bed, ample floorspace to accommodate queen sized Aerobed which is provided in upstairs closet. This room has many windows and a set of French doors to deck where you can enjoy the spectacular ocean views. Leave the door to the deck open to feel the ocean breezes and hear the waves crashing.
The dining room (see photo) area seats 12 with overhead dimmer lighting. French doors lead to an ocean view deck with outdoor table.
The kitchen (see photo) is fully equipped with appliances and cooking tools, including Bertazzoni gas, 6-burner range and griddle with double oven. Ocean views from the kitchen double sink.
The living room has a rustic rock fireplace where you can relax while watching TV/DVDs, listening to your favorite CD's or just taking in the beautiful Pacific views. Sofa pulls out to sleep 2 more people.
Just bring your swimsuits/beach towels, toiletries and food! Some beach toys are available for use. Bath towels and linens are furnished. Sorry, No Phone. Bring your cell phone for emergencies. WiFi is available for use with your own devices.
House sleeps 8 in beds, 2 more on queen sized Aerobed provided. Feel free to bring your own beds or sleeping bags to accommodate more, up to a maximum of 12 total guests.

Love this beach bungalo! With sprawling views of the beach and the sunset, how can you go wrong? This is a cute home that has accommodated many of our family gatherings. We love BBQing on the back patio, taking picnic food and toys from the garage to spend days at the beach, joining in on the La Selva town events (e.g. 4th of July), and strolling over to the cliff to enjoy a glass of wine with neighbors while watching the sun go down. The home itself has a country feel and is warm and inviting. I'd definitely recommend it for others.

We had a great vacation here in La Selva! This home has a vintage feel with lots of cool antique furniture. We loved being able to walk to the beach, watch the sunsets and spectcular moonrise from the front yard. We felt quite at home and were able to thoroughly enjoy a relaxing time with 3 young kids who had plenty of entertainment, including a fantastic Easter Egg Hunt in the village. We look forward to returning for more... Hear there are some great other events throughout the year in the village!

My family stayed at this La Selva Beach house two years ago and it was quite charming. The views are even better than the photos on the website and the best part is that there is private, gated beach access within walking distance. We walked for miles along this secluded beach with our dog and we even saw dolphins swimming nearby. We originally chose this listing because we wanted a dog friendly place to stay. It was nice not having to board our dog and he enjoyed the beach as much as we did! The house was so comfortable and relaxing and is in such a great location...close to both Monterey and Santa Cruz. We enjoyed being able to take day trips to the boardwalk and the Monterey Bay aquarium with our kids and then come back in the evenings to a beautiful ocean sunset. We appreciated the open layout of the kitchen, dining and living room. The house felt roomy, bright and clean, and the spectacular views from both inside and out are hard to beat. We had such a nice time at this La Selva house that we have booked another stay there this summer.

We had such a great week we have already booked a week next summer. Our boys love to surf and my lifelong surfer brother who lives locally thinks Manresa is the best surfing beach in California - this amazing house is a five minute walk to Manresa so the house became surf central (the outdoor shower was a plus!) The ocean view across the bluff is even better than described - we spent a lot of time on the balcony with friends and family enjoying it - or wandered over to the bluff across the street to linger on the bench above the beach. There were so many positives about our experience it is hard to list them all: the house is roomy, clean, and comfortable, lots of parking, nice neighbors. The property managers were very helpful, responsive, and friendly and the tiny town of La Selva Beach is charming, welcoming and so safe that we were able to let our pre and early teens wander about a bit on their own. On days we didn't surf, boogie board and swim the house's location for other outings was perfect - Santa Cruz and the redwoods are 20 - 30 minutes away, the villages of Aptos and Capitola with great restaurants and shopping ~ excellent antiquing - are super close, and an hour away the Monterey Bay Aquarium is phenomenal; Carmel is just another 10 minutes. Some of our favorite places to eat, reasonably priced - Gayle's bakery and deli in Capitola (the deli food is a little expensive but worth it), an old favorite, as well as the Fogbank in Capitola for the best burgers and Zelda's for outdoor appetizers on the beachfront deck. We recommend this house highly to all our friends and anyone who wants a super relaxed, easy going beach vacation. I almost forgot - there is a private gated beach access for locals - nice to have the key for that which made sunset walks on the beach even closer. You will love it!

My family of four stayed here with another family of four and we all had a great time. The house comfortably held that many, when 8 were elementary school age kids. We took day trips to Santa Cruz, Monterey and Big Sur. It was nice to have home cooked family dinners after a week of traveling!
