What to do when you aren't enjoying the beach in Panama City...
For great shopping & dining visit Pier Park. This is the area's newest shopping & dining complex that offers a great mix of restaurants & shops. Pier Park also hosts community events & concerts. To catch the latest flick, the Grand Theater offers 16 different movie choices. You will enjoy shopping at all of the fashionable specialty shops that line the sidewalks of Pier Park.
Some of the stores that you will find are Blender Clothing, Cache, Peace Frog's, Jakes at the Beach & Chico's. For dining out Pier Park has a great mix of restaurants for you to choose from. Back Porch Seafood & Oyster House as well as Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville overlook the Gulf of Mexico. You will also find, to mention a few, Hofbrau Beer Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings, Hana Japan & Guglielmo's Italian Grill at Pier Park, they all offer great dining.
If you are up for a game of volleyball you will also find that here too! They have a sand volleyball court adjacent to the events courtyard. If it's pampering you are looking for.. Pier Park has that too! Visit Massage Envy & Solace Day Spa & Salon for a relaxing treat to yourself!
To enjoy a sand free day away from the beach, visit Shipwreck Island. This water park activity center has been entertaining families for over 25 years in Panama City Beach, Florida.

The Ocean Motion Wave Pool is a 500,000-gallon pool that
generates three foot waves every ten minutes.
White Knuckle River is a 660-foot long twisting, winding inner
tube ride that features tubes large enough for the entire family
to splash down in.
The Rapid River Run is over 300 feet of white water inner tube
rafting. They have a 50-foot splash down as the wonderful finale.
The Lazy River is just that, over 2,000 feet of a slow moving
river for a relaxing day.

Skull Island is a family activity pool that is filled with
waterfalls & a kiddy slide & the Tadpole Hole is another
children’s activity pool with slides.
For a great family experience head to Gulf World Marine Park. They offer live shows featuring dolphins, sea lions, exotic birds and reptiles. Explore the animal exhibits with penguins, alligators & flamingos. Not to be missed is their Swim with a Dolphin program.
Zoo World is home to over 200 animals including endangered & exotic species. They have a beautiful botanical garden & several of the animals are viewed in a lush tropical setting. They offer shows year round such as Parrots of the World & Wolf Encounter. You will find Zoo World in Panama City Beach, Florida a ½ mile east of Wal-Mart Super Center on Front Beach Road.
Visit Shell Island For a nature based excursion. Here you will find a natural, undeveloped island which lies between the Gulf of Mexico and St. Andrews Bay in Panama City Beach. The island stretches approximately seven miles & is home to one of the world's highest concentrations of bottle-nosed dolphins. Find tremendous sand dunes, a fresh water swamp, acres of woods and sugar-white sand.
Shell Island in Panama City Beach, Florida offers excellent snorkeling, fishing and secluded beaches & a great place to water the bottle nosed dolphins play. Make sure to bring along snacks & drinks, as they are not available for purchase here. Shell Island is a great place to find a vacation treasure.
The Frank Brown Sports Complex is located in Panama City which offers a host of recreation opportunities such as tennis courts, soccer fields, aquatic center, softball, football, playground and a freshwater youth fishing pond.
