ARE WE THERE YET? is a brand new custom home completed in 2008. Prepare yourself for some peace, quiet and serenity. Leave the go cart tracks, arcades, stacked up high-rises, crowded beaches and traffic to someone else. You will not find them here on The Forgotten Coast.
ARE WE THERE YET? Offers you access merely feet away to world-class fishing in the Apalachicola Bay Estuarine Reserve. You can fish for Pompano, Redfish, Tripletail, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, and of course, Tarpon. While you fish, drop a crab trap for some local blue claw or hog a bushel of oysters fresh out of the bay from one of the many oyster bars.
If you get tired of the bay, drop a fish trap in the canal overnight and then head out in the morning to the gulf with your pin fish for some trophy Grouper, Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Spanish Mackerel, Rock Bass, or troll for some Kings.
For the non-fisherman, the beach is just a five-minute stroll and paved bike paths are just two minutes away. Beach access is available at every cross street. Premium shelling is just a short boat ride away to uninhabited Little SGI. Bike, Scooter, Boat, Jet Ski and Golf Cart rental is available on the island to further enhance your outdoor vacation experience.
You can also take your kids to Journeys of SGI and drop them off for one of the guided educational children’s adventures while you enjoy some free time for yourself.
After a long day prepare your fresh catch or visit Dale and Pewee near the lighthouse for a couple of pounds of fresh jumbo. Enjoy your dinner with a Mai Tai on the rear porch and chances are you may experience one of the most spectacular sunsets you have ever seen.
The exterior of the property features a private launch ramp with 30’ submerged concrete slab, private 20-foot dock, deep water access 75 yards to Apalachicola Bay, outdoor park style charcoal grill, multi-car covered parking, boat/RV parking, 30A and 20A boat/RV hook-up, two guest storage closets, four full-size decks (two fully screened), bay view and canal views.
The upstairs floor has a popular style open kitchen to family room and dining room plan, 2nd master bedroom with private French doors opening to the rear upper screened porch and full bathroom/powder room. Also included upstairs is a covered full-screened porch with bay and canal views and a partially covered front porch with sun deck. The gourmet kitchen features all stainless appliances, granite countertops, a large dining table that seats eight and a breakfast bar that seats three.
Upstairs entertainment includes two flat panel LCD TVs, Stereo, DVD Player, CD Player, Games, Puzzles, Video Library and Take one/Leave one books. This is a perfect place to spread out and relax with your family and friends.
The downstairs floor has a master bedroom with on-suite bath, 3rd bedroom with loft bunk (full size down/ twin size up), 4th bedroom with twin beds, 3rd full bath with tub, full length screened rear lower porch, full length open lower front porch, high efficiency washer/dryer, and storage closet. Downstairs entertainment includes an additional flat panel LCD TV and DVD player.

The house was very nice and accomendated four couples very will. Having a dock and boat ramp at the house was great for us boaters, there is plenty of room for trucks and trailers to park at the house. Looking forward to our next trip to Apalachicola and the house.

Fabulous! Thank you so much for sharing your home. We had the best vacation! The house is just perfect. Well equipped, very spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, great views, beautifully furnished.......the list goes on. We loved it! We had our jet ski with us and went out into the bay and the gulf. We we're very lucky to see lots of suprisingly tame and curious, dolphins. They were as interested in us as we were in them....very cool! We enjoyed a day out in Port St Joe, its roughly an hour away. We lunched on fresh grouper, tuna and chilled white wine at the marinas dockside restaurant and watched the latest catch of Red Snapper, Amberjack and Tuna being weighed in. Well worth the trip. We would definately reccommend this home. Its located in a beautiful part of the world which is a must see for all! We will be back for sure! Thank you!

Had a great time -- the house is beautiful. Nice having a boat ramp and dock right at your doorstep. Loved so much we are going back again. Owner was wonderful with transaction and information. I would definitely recommend this house! Fishing was great!

We had a great experience renting this property! It's tucked in a quiet little neighborhood but still close to the beach, the bike path, and "downtown" St. George Island. The home is well maintained and has great amenities. It is good for both families and fishermen. You will not be disappointed. The provided pictures are very accurate and do not overstate the home's condition. Also, the home owner is very accommodating and easy to work with. I hope you get an opportunity to enjoy this home as much as we did!
