Situated so close to Vancouver, but so far away, your vacation begins with beautiful 20 minute ferry ride across the fjord of Howe Sound to Bowen Island. A short drive across the island, and down the winding forested driveway you arrive at your own very private 2 acre estate. Or arrive by your own boat and moor right in front!

Built right on the south western edge of the island, with over 300 ft. of beach front, the views are endless.

The house is uniquely designed to take advantage of any season with large covered decks and outside living areas (one with a huge stone fireplace), windows and doors that when open seamlessly connect the inside and outside. Inside the stone fireplace and overstuffed furniture provide a cozy retreat. At the beach, relax on the deck of the beach cabin, and enjoy the cold drinks from the kitchenette! There is a very large loft room above the garage - fantastic for teenagers, or that extra family. It has a full bathroom plus all media, foosball, and air hockey.

This home works for 2 or for 20. Anniversaries, family reunions, weddings, corporate retreats, or any kind of getaway.

While you will be tempted never to leave once you've arrived, the island offers much in the way of recreation and charm. The island is home to writers, painters, potters - all of whom show and sell their work in a number of local shops. For the sports minded, there is a beautiful 9 hole Golf course, mountains to climb, seashore and lake trails to hike. There are a variety of restaurants from casual to amazing fine dining. You will find all your grocery needs on the island - including a farm based butcher, and on island bakery.

Bowen is also close to all the excitement and energy of Vancouver, whether by car ferry, or the convenient scheduled water taxi to downtown you can have the best of both worlds - catch dinner and a show in the city, but still wake up at the water's edge "a million miles' away.
