  Our last minute plans were most graciously facilitated by the owners. We love to go to the beach and have rarely found homes more comfortable and accommodating than this "Mellow Yellow House." Especially enjoyed the provided bicycles, wave boards, beach chairs and tennis equipment. The pool is only 1 house away and very quiet and well maintained. We have nicknamed our family "the fambly" and had some relaxing and wonderful "fambly" meals around the extra large dining table. We took turns preparing meals in the well equipped kitchen, and then enjoyed games around the large map table in the living room. The short walk to the beach was refreshing and helped us get our cardio in! Loved relaxing in the large jetted tub in the master bedroom at the end of the day. The weather was perfect and I have never seen such beautiful blue water or pristine white sand. Had dinner at the Shrimp Shack in Seaside and watched the sunset from our table right on the beach. The roasted oysters were superb. We will definitely plan to come back.

  Beautiful, tasteful and comfortable. Our group had a great time in this wonderful house that is close to everything, the ocean, the pool, shops, restaurants, you name it. The kitchen is well-equipped. And, the neighborhood is lovely. Thanks for allowing us to make a memory in your beautiful home.

  This was our second time down to the Redneck Riviera from Chicago -- had to make the trip again since we enjoyed it so much last year. The two resounding positives for this place would be the location (a walk to everything, including the beach and Seaside), and the fact that the house has a great layout and suits a group/family comfortably in nearly every respect. We grilled every night, and despite eating like kings at the local joints, we lost weight on the trip with biking and hiking and all the excuses to be active. Deep sea fishing in Destin was less than 45 minutes away, which again was something we appreciated given that the best parts of that region are all pretty easily accessible from the Santa Rosa Beach area. A neighborhood feel with this house/location was a bonus -- a nice little community in a terrific part of Florida.

  Our family with 3 teens enjoyed the stay at the Yellow House. The house was plenty big for our needs and true to online info. The beaches were beautiful, the fall weather pleasant for biking, beach walking and enjoying the sun and waves while reading. Also enjoyed lunches and shopping at Seaside and Rosemary Beach. The house was well equipped and comfortable with easy access to everything. Quiet neighborhood nicely maintained.

  Our family has had the pleasure of staying at The Yellow House for many years! Great location, clean, 1 house down from the pool. You could not ask for a more relaxing place to be! Great restaurants from burger and fries to a 5 star restaurant within 5 minutes from the house! We have 2 boys that are now 25 and 21 that have been going to The Yellow House with us for many years. We always say we need to go see other places but end up back at The Yellow House!

  Our family of five had a wonderful time at the Yellow House! The place is super clean and well appointed. There was enough room for everyone to relax and be comfortable and we loved using the pool (practically next door) and the tennis courts (right behind the house). We walked to the beach daily and spent some time exploring the towns along 30A. In our week long stay, we never even went to Destin on Panama City! there was plenty to do right nearby and it felt like a truly peaceful haven! The owners were a pleasure to work with - reliable and responsive!

  We absolutely loved staying here. The tennis courts were directly behind the house, the pool was one house away, the beach was an easy walk with the beach cart (chairs, toys, etc..) provided. We loved riding the bikes daily. The neighborhood was peaceful, well kept, safe and beautiful. The property manager was very kind and attentive. The neighbors were very helpful and friendly, and even the ice cream truck came through daily. It was a little slice of heaven tucked off of 30-A. This was our first time to the area and found that it was the perfect spot to easily ride the bicycles to Sea Side (loved Sundog books) or drive to Rosemary Beach. Our kids loved their freedom riding bikes and playing basketball or tennis in Cassine daily. We walked up to get carryout several times at Flip Flops. Looks like a Sweet Shop is going in soon too. We would definitely recommend it and definitely stay here again.

  Our family has stayed at the Yellow House several times. My 19 year old son would rather stay here that any where else in the Destin area. If you are looking for true relaxation and a calm place you have found it! The pool is one door down and a short trip across the street to the beach. Restaurants from a hamburger joint to a 5 star within a 5 min drive! My wife stayed one week in Ft Walton at a hotel with her sister and kids and could not wait to get to the Yellow House for a true calming vacation! If you are looking for a loud and crazy kind of place you better look somewhere else.This is a true vacation home!

  We have been coming to this area since 2003. We love the area, we love the beaches.... The Yellow House has been the BEST vacation home we have stayed in! The location is perfect, the house is so accommodating and so tastefully decorated, even the neighbors were great! We had a wonderful week (7/10 to 7/17/2010) our children didn't want to leave! The house made us feel at home! We cooked several meals because the kitchen had everything needed to make a great meal and having the seafood market just a few steps away, we made several great meals and saved a little $$$. Our children (3 small ones) loved walking over to the pool and to the tennis courts, our teenager enjoyed the bike rides and chilling on the front porch! We can't wait to book it for next year! Mr. Huseman was a delight to work with and despite of such a short notice on our part, our vacation was perfect!! we love the Yellow House!!

  I have been coming to Seaside since 2004, and this rental has everything covered. Tennis courts, two pools, and a nature trail outside your front door, and the beach is just a hop skip away. No other rental will have their beautiful unique decor, and the amenities everyone looks for in a home away from home!!
