Our apartment is located in the heart of La Croisette (#65) between hotels Carlton (# 57) and Martinez (# 73), 4th floor, in the Palais Miramar art deco building. Festival Hall is a 5/10 minute walk.

Palais Miramar is beach front. It was the 4th art deco hotel in La Croisette (with the Carlton, Majestic & Martinez), has been sold in apartments after WW II. The co-ownership has kept a front desk open 24/7 with a concierge, allowing access to keys at all times. It has two elevators and provides full security (cameras). Public areas inside and outside were entirely renovated in 2009 / 2010.

Its very central location will allow you to walk to all the attractive places to be within a few minutes.

The apartment has a 65 SM (700 sq. feet) surface with a 3,80 meter ceiling and provides full accommodations for four people. For business trip, we recommend it for 1 or 2 people. Miramar building is facing the sea but our apartment does not have a seaview, it will please guests looking for a calm environment as you do not ear the cars driving on La Croisette or the noices coming from beaches - even when french windows are fully open. General atmosphere is very cool, everything has been arranged for our guests to feel at home. The apartment was decorated in the Provence style and is very romantic. IT IS REGULARLY MAINTAINED AND WE APPRECIATE RESPECTFUL GUESTS.


APARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Both rooms are spacious : 24 SM (260 sq. feet) each. The bedroom is equipped with a king size bed and the settee in the dining room provides two real single beds. Wardrobe and closets in both room. Every room has its own half bathroom.
The bedding (mattresses...) is very comfortable. Each room is equipped with completely silent air-conditioning controlled by individual remote controls. Central heating at winter time. Doors in between the rooms close completely and are equipped with blind curtains providing a total black out. The bathroom is equipped with a jacuzzi bathtub and a showerhead. Hot water all time. Kitchen is fully equipped (including washing machine + dishwasher). Free access to the internet high speed, TV, CD and DVD player.


AREA DESCRIPTION

Surroundings of the Miramar are just gorgeous.

La Croisette provides sand beaches, top international luxury brands shops, fish and Mediterranean restaurants, cafes and terraces and a wonderful view on the bay. Life never stops there : Summer or winter, it provides the same magic easy and cool life. Carlton Hotel is two blocks away from the Miramar, Martinez is one block away. The other famous shopping street `rue d`Antibes` is at a 2 minute walk from the Miramar. Port Canto where the beautiful yachts are moored is a 5 minute walk.

Numerous buses will allow to visit the town : they are roofless (summertime) along La Croisette. The free ‘Elo’ bus will pick you up anywhere in the city, you just need to shake your hand ! You will discover old and typical Mediterranean quarters such as Le Suquet, local Provençal fairs and antique markets on the ‘Place des Platanes’, the ‘Vieux Port’ and a wonderful vegetable and flower market ‘le marché Forville’.

If you want to visit some other great places along the coast, there is also a very good train service. You will also be able to visit some towns such as Grasse (worldwide capital for fragrances), Mougins, Vallauris (worldwide famous potteries with Jean Marais) with regular buses. For art lovers, you will be pleased to discover the Picasso Museum in Antibes, the Chagall Museum in Nice, the Matisse Museum in Vence, the Maeght Foundation in Saint Paul de Vence and the Fernand Léger Museum in Biot. During summertime, you will also find a variety of boat excursions with a departure from Cannes to Antibes, Saint Tropez, Sainte Maxime, Port Grimaud, San Remo (Italia).

FAQ :

* Is a car needed ? :
No, if you stay in Cannes only. As the location is very central, you can walk to all the interesting places to be. Bus n° 8 has a stop down the building. It drives along La Croisette from East to West. For those who want to drive around, there are 2 car renting offices next street.

* Do you provide a garage ?
Yes, the Miramar has its own garage behind the building : to be booked in advance (limited number). Price is €50/week.

* Is there a supermarket close to the renting ?
Yes, there is one called ‘Proxi’ in the street (rue Rouaze) behind the Miramar. There is also a grocery at the corner with the Miramar (Their vegetables are gorgeous !). And there is a bigger supermarket called ‘Casino’ at a 2 minute walk in the direction of the rue d’Antibes.

* Can you advise some restaurants around ?
My favorite one for lunch time is ‘Le Rado’ (pic) on the beach just in front of the Miramar. Dishes are delicious, prices very reasonable and the view is gorgeous.
For a dreamful breakfast facing the sea, I would advise ‘Le Voilier’, a café located n° 61 on La Croisette, in the direction of the Palais des Festivals (Festival Hall).
There is also ‘La maison du Porto’, a very good restaurant with very low prices, located almost in front of the Palais des Festivals (Festival Hall).

* Do you provide lifts from the airport ?
Yes, we can organize it at a very reasonable price (half of the regular taxi). Drivers wait for our guests at the exit area with their name written on a placard.

* Do you accept credit card payments ?
We prefer bank transfer, as french citizen cannot subscribe to the US credit card program.
However, we also accept payments ONLY through a VERIFIED Paypal account + an ID copy. Tenant pays the fees.

* Can you provide a proof that you own this apartment ?
Yes, I will send my laptop screen capture with my last online payment for the water.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

The major benefit of the condo is its location and style : the heart of La Croisette, between such famous 'neighbours' as the Carlton and Martinez Hotels. Also the Miramar building, classified as a art deco masterpiece, is very impressive (from inside and outside) for those who love art. Environment is very quiet, the apartment is romantic, Provence style ... perfect for resting or business.

Two American ladies - looking for somewhere new to explore - we chose this apartment because of the La Croisette photo. Little did we know what a great choice we had made. The living space is excellent - the amenities are perfect for a one or two week stay - the owner could not have been more helpful. Three words describe this wonderful Miramar dream.....location, location, location. We hope to return soon.

Working with owner and staying in flat were all very positive experiences. Apartment is exactly as pictured. It is quiet, in a nice building, perfectly located. Easily sleeps four, with plenty of room.
