    My neice was married in St Augustine and we rented as a family both sides of the duplex which meant we had 6 bedrooms. I am a chef and cooked the rehersal dinner there, Sat lunch and Sun breakfast, lunch and dinner for 25 that enjoyed the house, pool and beach. It was a great time. Houses were as advertised and very confortable. Sharon was very easy to work with. St Augustine is a beautiful town and we loved it My cousin from Canada stayed in a B & B in St. Augustine and got to and from the beach house with public transport. It ended at 10 PM though..

    This was the fourth trip to St. Augustine I made with my husband and our dog and the second time my daughter, son-in-law and their yellow lab accompanied us. We have stayed at Barefootin' each time and each time was perfect. The units are exactly as pictured and described in VRBO. The first time we stayed we were wondering if a unit with 1.5 bathrooms would work for four adults. As it turned out each of the for times we stayed I was the only one to use the indoor shower the entire trip! My husband, daugher and son-in-law prefered the outdoor shower and used it exclusively. The yard is perfect for the dogs. It is double fenced and there is a hose for bathing after a day at the beach. Sharon and her husband Bob are the best! We have changed plans multple times, arrived early and Sharon never missed a beat. They are accomodating, helpful and a pleasure to rent from. I would not consider staying anyplace another than Barefootin' in St. Augustine.

    Just a note to say we loved our week's stay at this cottage. Great place with everything you need to have a good time. The pool is an added bonus and feels great after a long day at the ocean. There was a family in the side next to us and we never had any issues sharing the pool. There is lots of space for everyone and each side has its own BBQ grill, out side shower, and laundry room. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked great. The owners have stocked this home with everything you will need and decorated it to make their visitors welcome at the beach. I would definitely rent this one again.

    This cottage is amazing! Talk about a beach retreat...it is cozy, perfectly located, beautifully decorated, a short walk to the beach and lounging in the pool was a perfect way to spend the afternoon/evening after being at the beach! The weather was perfect and we even enjoyed the evening showers because it was nice to be in such a cozy place to watch the rain while relaxing in the evenings. Our two boys enjoyed riding their bikes on the beach and up and down B street. Eating lunch on the upper deck was relaxing and so much fun. The beds were very comfortable and the decor made us feel right at home. I even enjoyed cleaning! We cooked breakfast, had sandwiches for lunch and enjoyed dinners at Saltwater Cowboys, Oasis, Barefoot and Sunset Grille. Everything we needed for cooking was right there in the unit. Sharon and her husband were always available to help or answer questions. They would come over and clean the pool and we had a great time chatting with them. They wanted to be respectful of our time and privacy but they are such fun people, we enjoyed talking with them. Sharon's art work is delightful and hopefully next year, we will be able to make a purchase. It is with reservation that we recommend this wonderful treasure of a place to stay because we want it to always be available when we get the chance to make it ours for a week again! We just got back home and I am ready to go back NOW!

    This cottage is absolutely wonderful. Very clean and tasteful decor. Perfect for a couple or family. Keep in mind it's a duplex, so if you have a large group you'll want to rent both units. (We only stayed in one unit.) Nestled in a quaint beachside neighborhood, you are only 3 houses from the beach. And this part of St. Augustine beach is great. Also, close to restaurants, the pier and short drive to downtown. Sharon, the owner, is friendly, professional and very accommodating. We would stay at any property she owned or managed.

    We booked a 4 day stay for a mother/daughter getaway. The house is decorated with an adorable beach theme. The rooms are spacious and inviting. The master bedroom is the star with french doors that open to a large 2nd floor deck. We spent every day lounging by the beautiful pool. Wonderful local restaraunts just a few feet away. We will definatley be back!

    After doing lots of research as to where we were going to vacation I decided on Barefootin---NOT DISAPPOINTED at all. Sharon--the owner was extremely helpful and a joy to speak with. It is obvious that she takes great pride in this place. Really cannot describe in words how nice this place is. We kept the windows and doors open most of the time allowing the ocean breeze to flow through. The outside of the units is very well maintained. Sharon had even placed lights around the palm trees in the front to get into the holiday spirit. The backyard -one of our favorite places to hang out. The pool - Very nice with pool chairs. The fencing is well thought out. Loved the fact - our little dog could hang out with us while at the pool and we did not have to worry about where he was. The view out the kitchen window is nice overlooking the patio and pool. The outdoor hot/cold shower is very convenient and nice. Great access to the washer and dryer off the back patio. Nice gas grill out on the patio. The inside was very clean and decorated with lots of beachy taste. Very comfortable furniture and bedding. Having nice flatscreen TV's made it nice when we were relaxing in the evenings. Loved the french doors in the upstairs master that opened out onto the open patio above the garage. The room in the back off the kitchen overlooking the pool and patio made for a nice place to do school work while listening to the ocean waves in the morning. Another favorite-- beautiful sandy beach was only steps away at the end of the street. The neighborhood is well kept. Fun watching all the people heading to and from the beach. Enjoyed walking to the Beachcomber restaurant for breakfast-one street over on the beach. Loved the daily walks up and down the beach. The pier is definitely within walking distance. St. Augustine --10 minute drive-lots of things to do and places to eat. This would make a great place for multiple families renting out both sides. Looking forward to going back to Barefootin. Thank you Sharon for your time and effort into making this a great place to come to att he beach.

    On my way home from a summer in the mountains, I decided to stop in St. Augustine Beach...visit friends, walk on the wonderful beach and satisfy my craving for a fish sandwich. After doing some research on the VRBO website I settled on Barefoot. I was not disappointed. The location was PERFECT...close to my friends, the beach and a short walk (on the beach) to a great fish sandwich...a great breakfast sandwich, tool. Not only was the location perfect, so was the townhouse! Actually better than the photos on VRBO. Very clean and well-maintained. Sharon, the owner, was extremely helpful and made us feel welcomed and at home. I highly recommend this as a lovely spot for a fantastic getaway!! Oh...my dogs loved it, too! :)

    We rented both sides of Barefootin for one week and had a wonderful time. The owners are sooo very nice and accommodating, the house is spotless and nicely decorated, furniture and beds are really comfy. We had such a nice time and cannot wait for next year, we want to rent Barefootin for two weeks this time. Thank you Sharon for everything!!! Carol and Family, September 2010

The description from Sharon the owner couldn't even describe how perfect the beach house was. She and her family were so accommodatiing in arranging everything needed. The location was amazing and the house was absolutely perfect! We had 4 families stay so it worked out great with the setup of the duplex. Each unit had 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths with the cutest beach decor. The huge decks were perfect for big family lunches and the pool was warm and beautiful. Thank you for the great location to get our families together! We will most definitely return!!

    We had an amazing time at Barefootin' two summers ago and are very much looking forward to staying again this summer. We rented both sides and will again this year. We plan to bring my daughter's in-laws this time and can't wait to share this home and St. Augustine with them. The home is very clean, decorated beautifully (great beach atmosphere!) and the pool (with fence and gates for safety of young children) and location to the beach was perfect. It is nice, also, to be able to have added family, but with the privacy of two separate living quarters at the same time. This home is also located in one of the best areas of all of the beaches- close to everything and you truly get the "old beach", relaxed atmosphere that you can't find many places anymore. Can't wait to get back there!
