This was a great location for us with easy access to stores and beaches we like to go to. Nice big King Size bed that was very comfortable with lot's of pillows. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the deck enjoying the views, we could just sit there and watch the sunset every night. Management was very friendly with any questions or help we needed. This was one of our favorite places to stay and would definitely stay here again.

Leina'ala is a small, quiet and affordable oceanfront condo. It is nestled behind another small complex and between two larger complexes which eliminates any road noise from busy South Kihei Road. The condo overlooks a park and the un-obstructive views of the ocean are fabulous! The condo is conveniently located and you are close to virtually everything without being in the busy downtown part of Kihei. This unit has been renovated and is clean, well appointed and comfortable. The building manager's Paula and Bill are very friendly and helpful and the condo owner Sandy was extremely easy to deal with. The recent addition of high speed internet in each separate unit in the building was a great improvement over the previous shared wifi service. This was the second time that we have stayed in this complex and we are already planning our 2014 trip!

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway.

My husband and i took a two week vaca in this wonderful condo. It was very well decorated.Had everything you would need. The bed was divine soo comfortable.Folks left chairs and an umbrella for our use, also a cooler that was handy. View was amazing. An expansive lawn out front lead out to the ocean with a small band of beach that had coral/sand on it not good to swim from .Fun to watch the sail boards from though and sunsets.This area tends to get windy. There are kayaks for rent from the managers but go early in the morning to avoid the winds. There is free yoga on wednesdays from 8-9:30 right out front and again on saturdays for $10 same time. The gal is great! geared to all levels its a wonderful way to start the day! You will see whales from the lanie of this unit during the season. The owner was easy to work with while booking unit and it was as promised. The only thing i would say that was a bit of a bother was the size of the water tank. For two people to have a shower you could not linger in it or the water would run cold. The washer and dryers were located down one flight coin operated. They have recently installed a remote shade that comes down on the lanie which keeps things comfortable. This unit a good value for the $. We very much enjoyed our time there.

Incredible Condo!!!

This was our fourth trip to Hawaii and this condo was by far the nicest place we have ever stayed. The complex is small but we enjoyed the fact that it had a much more personal feel, such as the communal beach chairs and boogie boards as well as the personal attention you are given by the property managers. The unit itself was absolutely fantastic and I cannot say enough great things about it. Nothing about this unit was generic and it had a very comfortable and home away from home feeling, you could absolutely tell the owners take a lot of pride in their unit. The kitchen is very very well stocked, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the living room and lanai furniture were great. We also really enjoyed the fact that this unit was located close to town, not too easily walkable but just a couple minutes by car which as perfect for us. We also enjoyed the great lawn that was never too busy and we were able to watch incredible nightly sunsets from the beach at the end of the lawn. We would absolutely recommend this place if you are staying in Kihei, they don’t get much better than this unit!

This was our 3rd visit to Maui and this is the nicest one yet. The Leinaala was set Back off of Kihei Road which made it a nice quiet peaceful retreat. The property Lawn that extends to the bay was well kept and beautifully manicured. We enjoyed Getting to know the property managers who were very helpful and knowledgable. We liked the fact that this complex was smaller and the units were ocean front: a Great value.

We had a wonderful time on Maui and loved this condo! The space is beautiful and well-maintained with lots of nice thoughtful touches. The view is amazing and the central location is very convenient. We definitely recommend it!

Great place to stay. The unit was clean and well-kept. On site managers, Bill & Paula, were great and keep the property in beautiful condition. The pool was sparkling! I would highly recommend this unit.

We stayed at this lovely condo for three weeks and found the location to be very convenient. It is close to all the swimming beaches, shopping and restaurants. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped and made cooking meals a real pleasure. The building has on-site managers which is very helpful. We also enjoyed the small size of the complex which added to the quietness of the building. It was nice to have laundry facilities available on the first floor. Past guests have left their boogie boards, beach chairs, toys, etc. at the building and they are stored under the stairwell for all to enjoy - great idea! The condo has an air conditioning unit but we found that by opening the lanai doors and the entrance door, which is screened, the breezes were wonderful. We will definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for oceanfront serenity,this condo at Leinnala is it! We recently stayed in this unit for three weeks, and it was as comfortable as home. The kitchen was nicely remodeled and well equipped; so if you felt like cooking in, everything is there. The furnishings throughout the unit were tastefully done and very cozy. The very best part of this unit, is the oceanfront view from the kitchen, living room and lanai; from which we photographed many gorgeous sunsets. The managers at Leinaala are very friendly and helpful. (They even have kayaks to rent, just outside your door) After over a dozen trips to Maui, this condo is by far, the best we've ever had. We can't wait to come back to Sandy's place and will highly recommend this unit to everyone we know who wants to visit Maui!!

A Wonderful Place To Stay

We stayed here for 2 weeks in November and thoroughly enjoyed this beautifully appointed unit. The kitchen has everything you could need, the bedroom has a king bed and flat screened T.V., and the living room is very nicely decorated and has another flat screen. You can enjoy all that if you can drag yourself off the lanai where we ate all our meals and enjoyed every sunset. This complex is on the beach side of the road with a grassy public park between the unit and the ocean. The park is quiet. Folks walk their dogs in the early morning and a few come to watch the sunset in the evening. The complex and area are quiet. Without foyers and front desks, this complex lets you feel as if you had your own apartment on Maui. The complex is not on a swimming beach, but all Kihei beaches are close by. We liked having a car, although another traveller in the complex managed happily on the bus. The unit is air-conditioned, although we never used it and made use of the fan in the bedroom instead. There is also overhead fans in the sitting/dining/kitchen area. The shower in the bathroom is a walk-in, and we really liked the bedside lights .The hall cupboard has beach towels, beach chairs and tennis rackets. Booking the unit was easy, as was getting into the unit when we arrived in the evening. Paula works in the office, keeps a gentle eye on the place, and is an amazing help in every way. The complex is off the road, which adds to its peacefulness and all Kihei amenities--shops, restuarants, dive shops etc are five minutes away by car. I cannot think of a single thing to complain about except that we are not there right now.!

My husband and I had no reservations made ahead for our visit to Maui. Our daughter did some Internet searching while we traveled and found this condo for us. The owner was kind enough to make the arrangements at short notice and then allow us to stay an extra night. The condo is beautifully decorated, perfectly appointed, extremely clean and contemporary. There was more available to use than we expected--even a coffee grinder. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest and appreciate the owner's efforts very much! We recommend this highly! This is a great location. Its lanai looks right out to the beach. There is a lovely swimming pool, too. It is close to all activities in Kihea.

My husband and I have been to Leinaala Condos 3 times. The last two times we have stayed in this condo and in fact made our last holiday plans around its availability. It is beautifully appointed, well taken care of and reasonably priced. You are close to everything and although the beach is not swimable everything you need beachwise is just moments away and being Maui, you have a vehicle anyway. We love our morning walks down the beach, grabbing a coffee at the grocery store and watching the peacocks cross the road on the way home. It feels like our second home. The sunsets are spectacular and watching the kite surfers at sunset is always fascinating. If you are looking for quiet and relaxing, this is the place.

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Stay at Leinaala Condo in Kihei

My husband and I took a romantic getaway to Maui in July and stayed at this beautiful condo in Kihei. The view is gorgeous- unobstructed ocean with a nicely manicured park below. We enjoyed most of our at-home meals on the balcony to take in the sight at all the different times of day. The condo is perfect for a couple on a getaway- nicely furnished with all of the comforts of home. Kihei is ideal because it's centrally located on the island and provides for easy day trips to either coast to enjoy other locations. It's also nice in that, although Leinaala sits amongst other condo buildings, the area is populated by locals and isn't as densely touristy as other parts of the island. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby to enjoy. Since you’ll likely need to rent a car to best enjoy the island, it’s also very convenient that a parking spot is provided. I’m sure this is one of the nicest units in the whole building with its updated kitchen and other features, but the whole building was quiet and courteous the whole time we were there. Plus, the owners are great to work with! I would highly recommend this property especially to any couple looking for a great getaway, but you could also fit in 1-2 extra friends or kids if you wanted.

Definitely recommend this property! Condo was very clean and is nicely appointed with a great view of the ocean. Property is well maintained. Not mentioned in the description and we found very valuable was a concierge service. You will want to make a dinner/show reservation for Willie K at Mulligan's on the Blue - VERY entertaining - a must see. Looking forward to returning to Maui and this location.

My husband and I stayed 1 week in 2010 and 2 weeks in 2011 in this wonderful condo. The view from the beach is just what we expected and the grounds at this location are spectacular. We are saving for our next trip in a few years and will definitely be contacting this owner again.

We landed in Maui on March 11 – the day after the Tsunami – for 5 nights. Needless to say that we didn’t know what to expect…but despite it all, Maui exceeded our expectations. We loved every bit of the island that we visited and we especially enjoyed our accommodations. The condo was in a perfect location for everything we wanted to do: going to the beach, watching a sunset, shopping in nearby Wailea, boating to Molokini for an incredible day of whale watching and snorkeling and so much more. Maui is an incredible island and we would return without hesitation…and we would return to this condo as well. It was clean and fully stocked, and the bed was super comfortable! Condo management was very friendly and the neighbours delightful. Dealing with Sandy was a breeze, which made the planning of the trip as enjoyable as the trip itself (ok, the trip itself was better!!!). Maui was definitely a highlight of our time in Hawaii.

We stayed at this Property for two weeks and Loved it! Everything about it was great! It was clean and accommodating the bed is comfortable The condo was very quiet and peaceful. The beach is a great walking beach and the Lanai was a wonderful place to have a romantic dinner. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare anything. The location is great although the beach is not a great swimming beach but there are many many wonderful beaches close by. There are all the beach toys and chairs one would need available on the property and the BBQ is great. I have stayed at several condo's on the island and this is by far our favorite...it is the peace and quiet and romantic place you are looking for...also there is a great Yoga class offered on the lawn. go Go Go!!!!

This was my my first experience with VRBO but definitely won't be my last. Everything was just as it was described and the owners and managers were exceptional people to deal with. We are generally time share travellers and added this week to a time share week at Ka'anapali to make a perfect 2 week vacation in Maui paradise. This was our 5th trip to Hawaii - 2nd to Maui and can't ever seem to get enough. There's so much to do and see and such a great climate, food and great people who seem to really appreciate the tourists that I'm sure we'll be back. Absolutely I would recommend this condo.

Terrific Leinaala Unit

We've stayed at 4 or 5 different 1 bedroom units in Leinaala and this one was the best. It is newly remodeled and the owners clearly have an eye for interior design. From the crown molding to the wall coverings and fixtures there is an attention to detail. The unit was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances and there are ceiling fans throughout. They have nice new HD TV's in the bedroom and living room and free wireless. We turned on the bedroom A/C once, but didn't need it with the fans. The unit is on the 2nd floor and is not directly over the pool, which is nice. As is true with all units in this complex, the views are spectacular. The complex has washers and driers on the first floor and its location is convenient to shopping and restaurants. We can hardly wait to return!

We stayed at this condo just prior to Thanksgiving, What a beautiful Place! Description provided on the site was acurate. Decorated very tastfully and Clean, the Sunset view from the Lanai (If you don't want to take the 3 minute walk to the water..) was perfect. The condo is very conveniently located with 2 large markets (Times & Safeway) within a 5 minute or less drive. Plenty of places to eat close by.. or use the Nice BBQ on the property to grill up some steaks and fish and dine on the Lanai watching the sunset....... Kitchen is well supplied, Bed is King size and comfortable, Good communication with Owners, Facility managers were friendly and helpful!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. I searched and searched for the perfect place for us to stay that was also within the budget. We didn't want to be in a resort environment with too many people and high prices for everything. Once I realized how nice of a condo this was for the price compared some others out there - this was the place for us. Sandy responded quickly and answered questions we had about the area (this was our first time to Maui). Everything you need for the beach is in the closet - beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels...you name it. After driving up to Lahaina and down to Wailea, we knew right in between truly was the perfect choice for us. It's quiet, it's relaxing and a beautiful condo with spectacular ocean views. You really can't go wrong if you stay here.

Wow, what a great condo Sandy! We had a wonderful stay for over two weeks. My family has stayed at Leinaalla before and I've seen many of the other units, but yours is definitely the best! It was so relaxing to stay in such a beautifully decorated place and cook in the gourmet kitchen. My parents saw how nice it was and now they want to stay there too. The managers were also super nice and provided some great sightseeing and entertainment suggestions. I really, really enjoyed your condo and look forward to a return trip as soon as possible! Thanks again!

We had a great five night stay at this wonderful condo. It is totally remodeled in a very sophisticated manner. The location is awesome; right on the water! Very helpful and nice managers. Near shopping, beaches, golf and tennis courts. We love to cook, and having this kitchen with all of it's amenities was excellent. We will rent this condo again! Thanks Sandy!

Just returned from Maui and this property met all our expectations and then some. The owner was very pleasant to work with and provided us with all the information on the property we requested. You definitely won't be disappointed with the views from the Lanai from this well maintained condo. I've already recommended this property to all my friends and looking forward to our next trip to Maui in 2011.

I would HIGHLY recommend Sandy's place in Maui! What a find! It was completely remodelled and it felt better than home! High quality TV, appliances, and furnishings! Everything was in new condition and spotless clean! They even included lawn chairs, beach towels, and a cooler! It is a boutique type apartment building (16 units - 4 storeys) so it was quiet, without being too quiet! The managers were always available if we had tourist questions too! Thank you for the great couple weeks!

The view from this condo is one of the most beautiful sights in all of Maui and the sunsets are spectacular. The condo is very comfortable and beautifully appointed. The kitchen is well stocked and everything is top quality. Sandy and Jamie were very kind and attentive to our needs. We will be back at every chance we get.

We were sure this newly renovated condo would be great and we weren't disappointed. I picked this one because it was a small building and had a great view with a location we liked. We loved to sit on the lanai with breakfast and coffee and watch the whales every morning. Very peaceful. I really the kitchen and all the lovely decor. Would come back anytime.

Hi Sandy, I just wanted to thank you for the lovely time we spent in your condo. It was without question the best equipped condo we have ever been in. Steve loves to cook - we did all of our meals there and he was extremely impressed with the kitchen - he said it had absolutely everything he needed, and good quality cookware. The location was great and there are plenty of beaches nearby. We took a few cards with us and hopefully we will have some friends or family give you a call when they are looking for a place to stay. We have been to numerous islands in the Caribbean, Florida, Mexico, etc., but Maui is definately the best. It took us 26 hours to get there so it's not something we look forward to next year but will certainly be back. Thanks again, Kathy. Steve and Kathy Saunders

The owners have made this condo so comfortable and classy that you would think they would rent it out at a much higher nightly rate. The location is just the best and the view and complex are so comfortable that we will come back again and again.
