The Unique Benefits of this House
The best part of this property is the view off the deck and the fact it is NOT windy. Because the lay out of the house, the deck provides wind free area all the time. With a beautiful view. For bird watchers it is a mecca of amazing birds. You can walk out the back of the house and up the arroyo and view so many different types of birds in the natural environment.. If you keep walking and cross the river you can follow a trail to the top of the dunes and feel as if you are on the moon. So many beautiful areas to enjoy. For a good morning walk, head north on the beach to the Pier about 3 miles and enjoy a great breakfast at Brads and walk home and nap on the deck. Life is good.

What a View.... Wonderful weekend get away with family

We enjoyed a long weekend in March at Drifting Sand vacation rental. The four of Us all especially loved the comfort of the beds and the wonderful spa shower. We have local to the area family that stopped by and really enjoyed seeing the view from almost all the rooms in the house. The pool table room was a nice surprise on our arrival. The kitchen is nicely equipped for any type of cooking. We have already booked a week long stay in August . Thank you to Mary the owner She is wonderful to work with in arranging for another wonderful vacation at Drifitng Sand.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We stayed at the Pismo Drifting Sand Beach House for the 4th of July weekend and couldn't have been more pleased! The house is kid friendly, a must for us with two tiny children, very clean, everything was very accessable/labeled and provided, the beds were super comfy. We had a great time playing with the pool table and board games left in the house. The ocean/dune view was great from the house -- loved the fireworks on the beach! The house is as advertised, though we were sad there was no fireplace in the living room anymore. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely go back again! A few minuses, though -- the neighbors' house AC unit is unbelievably loud (under the 2nd floor fireplace bedroom) so if you're picky about noise it will affect your sleep; the cars driving next to the beach felt like we were sitting next to a freeway which took away from the fun of being at the beach. Both obviously cannot be controlled by the owner, but thought I'd point them out. A weekend was not long enough for our stay though, next time we plan on staying a week! Thanks Mary!!
