My Boyfriend & I stayed in this Unit from Mar 15-24, 2013. From the start, booking this was easy & the communication was wonderful. The Keyless entry was great as we never had to worry about any keys. The Unit was well stocked & so clean. There were enough dishes & cutlery which all matched & many serving dishes for when you hosted a dinner. This place has everything that you would have in your own home. The Storage outside even had beach chairs, boogie boards, toys, coolers that came in handy. Beach Towels were a plenty. Where the Unit is situated, it is so private. The pool is actually 1 level down & there was never any foot traffic in front of our place. I can't even recall hearing many on the other side where the entrance is. Being that it is on the ground floor & not in direct sunlight till afternoon, we never had to turn on the Air Conditioning. The fans were sufficient. Loved having the carpet in the Bedroom & Living Room. New Tile throughout the rest & a wonderful shower. This renovated Unit is just wonderful & our In-laws that come every year, will be booking this from now on. Can't wait to return.

Best Condo Ever

We loved the personal touches of your condo. Spices, cookware,drinks in the fridge. Shampoos Conditioners, Lotions, Baskets of towels. Very quite and great location ground floor. The shower was also great. Thank you again for a great stay and we will be back.The TVs were also a plus for my husband

Nothing better than having a place to call home when away. When 'away' is Maui, it is hard to go wrong. Barbara makes sure you are comfortable and accomodated. She is helpful and friendly, so you feel you have inside connections all over the island. The space is cozy and has everything you need. If you need anything, just reach out and Barbara will try to assist. I highly recommend the condo...book it!

This unit is beautiful. It was clean and well stocked. There are beach towels, beach chairs and all other necessity for playing at the beach. The kitchen has everything you need (besides groceries) to cook a great Hawaiian meal. Our experience was positive and Barbara, the owner is there if you need her. Looking for a ground floor unit, we recommend this unit.

Superb unit, wonderful owner

Our family (2 adults, 2 preschoolers) stayed in Barbara’s condo in February of 2012. We had never used VRBO and had never been to Maui, so we were a bit unsure about which location, beach, condo complex, unit etc. to choose. But lucky us - we ended up in paradise! We were thrilled with everything in this unit – the furnishings, kitchen equipment, linens, beach supplies, bathrooms, laundry facilities, a box of chocolate on arrival. The unit was stocked with lots of extras to make life away from home a little easier. Barbara herself was so easy to communicate with, and so attentive to our needs and questions. The Murphy bed really sets this unit apart from other 1BRs, and the location (ground floor, building five) was ideal. On our next visit to Maui, we will definitely return to Kam Sands and specifically to Barbara’s unit. Mahalo!

We just returned from a 1 week family holiday, we rented two different units at kamole sands,(one for our kids & there families) and this unit was for us and it was even better that the detailed discription, we have stayed at this property before and although this unit is back by the pool it is very private and I would bet that it would also be one the of the best stocked units for the little extra's like spices etc. the bed is very comfortable and the unit is nicely decorated, the owner is also very helpful in assuring that you have a great holiday. You definatly will not be dissapointed if you stay at this unit

Beautiful unit with recent upgrades. The unit was exceptionally clean and well furnished with adequate amount of linens.. The owner was more than helpful with any questions and requests. Conveniently located to beach, restaurants, etc. Would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to my family and friends.

We had a great visit to Maui, even though it was just a quick trip from our home on Oahu. The condo is very well appointed and had everything we could possibly need. The decor is lovely, the condo was very clean and the bathrooms were great. We loved being close to the pool and away from the road. My children were thrilled with the murphy bed and found it very comfortable. The Kamaole Sands is a perfect family vacation spot and we will definitely return here.

Excellent location. Close (walking distance) to shops and popular restaurants. Fantastic snorkeling directly across the street! Kamaole III beach area has a lot of open space and a large grassy area perfect for a BBQ/picnic or watching the sun set. The property is properly maintained and well cared for. The condo is well kept, stocked with just about anything and everything you'll need. It's quiet and has a nice lanai that looks out to a nice tropical setting. We would definitely recommend this property and location to family and friends who are looking to spend some time on Maui.

Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Better Even The Second Time!!

My husband and I vacationed in Maui this past March and stayed at Barbara's condo. This is our second time staying there and we absolutely love it! We have two young boys so being on the ground floor makes it easy to go in and out when heading to the pool or beach with all of the gear. Gear is definitely something that she has a lot of...everything that you would possibly need to make your vacation memorable is in that condo! It has plenty of space and it is updated and beautiful. She makes you feel like part of the family and she does everything possible to make your stay pleasant. We have so enjoyed our trips to Maui and it has been a blessing to have accommodations as wonderful as Barbara's condo to help you relax in paradise. We look forward to visiting again soon!

This was my first trip to Maui, and I will definately be coming back. I sent out an email to inquire about this unit and within 10 minutes Barbara was calling me from the beach to let me know it was available. When I arrived I was thrilled to find this unit spotless with new bathrooms, new appliances in the kitchen as well as dishes, pots and pans, tupperware and even towels for the pool. Barbara meant it when she said to pack light as the unit had almost everything you would need as well as a washer and dryer. The king size bed was very comfortable too. Coffee on the lanai in the morning with the singing birds was a great start to each day. I visited a few other units at the Kamaole Sands and this unit is by far the nicest one I saw. I found my home away from home! Enjoy your stay, we sure did!

We have stayed this unit on 7 occasions and each experience was amazing. The unit was always spotless with various upgrades done each year. The bathrooms are especially beautiful, and having a fully supplied kitchen ensures that you don't have to eat out at all if you choose not to. The additional Murphy bed in the living room makes it very comfortable for 4 adults to stay in this unit. The owner has everything required for the beach, which is only minutes away; boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, etc. With the owner residing on Maui, she is very receptive to being contacted should the need arise, and we have become very good friends with her.

2 Weeks in Paradise

What great location in the property!! Our 18 month old daughter loved the lanai on the ground floor, which has a neatly manicured lawn in the gardens so she could play outside while we prepared for our next excursion. Unit is well sticked with amenities such as beach towells (we bought our own becuase we didn't know, beach chairs, kids toys, salt/pepper, cooking oil, dishes, to name a few. It is also very clean, and there is a vaccum in the unit to clean up from time to time, as no matter how hard you try to avoid it, sand somehow makes it's way in! We did hit a couple of snags though. On our first day, we tried to give our daughter a bath, but the drain was plugged. Because we got in late at night, I had to clean it out by hand, which was not very much fun, and another drain was plugged in the sink in the main bathroom, for which I did the same thing as well. The other snag was the locks in the unit. The deadbolt on the front door would close, but was tough to open, and then it would just not open at all. The toggle would move but the deadbolt would not. We had to ask the rental company to fix it, and they sent in a lock company. We had to stay in our unit for the first 3 hours of the day while we contacted the office, and waited for the lock caompany to come and fix the door, as we had no way to lock up our valuables, and the contents of the unit. I must say that the rental company handled it very well, and and did not bat an eye when we asked to have a late checkout on our last day (at night) to make up for this inconvenience. The sliding back door in the back's lock is also a little tricky. We had to play with it, in order to ensure it was locked, but it locked every time, you just have to check it to make sure. All in all, we had a wonderful time in the Kam Sands, and the unit met our needs very well, and added to our experience. We would love to come again! The kitchen is a full kitchen, with anything you would need right there. There are many places very close to the Kam sands that do not have kitchens, and people are paying 3 times as much! Looking forward to coming again!! Joe, and family

The best condo on Maui!!

Barbara, this is about our 24th trip to Maui, and for the last three years we have stayed in your condo. Out of all of the condo's we have stayed in your's is the best. It has always been clean and after the new bathrooms were put in last year, that makes it even better. We LOVE the rain shower in the master bath, and the new washer and dryer. Your bed is even more comfortable than mine at home!! You even called last night to tell me you were buying a new refrigerator this week, and you are going to put new floors in the hall before we get here next year. We would never stay anywhere else. Everything in the condo gives you the Aloha spirit! The gardens are beautiful also. We also like that it is on the ground floor, that makes it so much easier to move luggage in and out. This year, like last year we are staying three months, and the time just seems to fly away. You make everything so easy and you always call to see if there is anything we need. Besides the condo being great, so are you. Danny & I are looking forward to coming again next year. I'll call you soon. As always, we consider you a good friend and can't wait to see you again. This was our first time using Home Away for our stay at Kamaole Sands. We loved the condo! Owners have put a lot into the care - extensive remodeling done. Great Aloha spirit from the owner from the day we requested a quote, reserving the condo, even check in was a breeze. We will definitely try to reserve the condo next time we are in Maui. Only problem is other vacationers liked it too, that i'm afraid we will have competition renting it the next time.

Aloha! Welcome to our "Maui Paradise Palms" condo. Barb and I recently purchased our unit at the beautiful Kamaole Sands Condominiums. We hope you enjoy the beautiful lush gardens, waterfall and fountains as you walk down to Kamaole Beach III. There, you will watch the fantastic sunsets and stroll along the beach. We stayed the month of September 2004. I would start my day off with a two to six mile run to Wailea and back. You can stay on the main road or cut down to the beach and run along the boardwalk. There was never a day that was too cold or too hot. Upon your return, shower off at the pool and take a nice cool dip. After that, I had to help Barb with putting our personal touch on the condo. The employees at some of the local stores got to know us by our first name. (I don't recommend that for you guys.) I hope you will enjoy our condo as much as we did and tell your friends..... Be sure to visit the Maui Ocean Center. Especially if you're not into diving or snorkling. Even if you do dive or snorkel, the Center is a great place to visit for the day. Stroll with the sharks and rays in the Open Ocean's tunnel. Make sure you are there around 11am or 2p.m. during feeding time. Speaking of feeding. For the inexpensive lunch, hit Maui Taco, a short distance from the condo on So. Kihei Road. Visit the Wailea Shopping Center for dinner. There is a Ruth Chris Steak House, Tommy Bahama's and a CheeseBurger in Paradise along with some very expensive stores. Please post your comments of your visit in order for us to improve our "Maui Paradise Palms" home. We hope you'll visit us again in paradise! Mahalo, Tom
