"Plum Nearly" has recently completed major remodeling with new carpet and tile throughout the 2300+ sq ft house, granite countertops in the kitchen, new stainless appliances and tasteful decorative accents by interior designer Kathryn Kane formerly of DWR East Hampton, NY. Ground floor has 2 adult suites each with queen bed and adjoining bath, plus a small fridge, coffee maker & microwave. Upstairs is a spacious great room where in addition to new furnishings you will find a 40" LCD/HD TV + DVD/VCR, a PlayStation 3 video console with games for the young and young at heart, and a hi-speed cable modem internet with wireless router for wifi service throughout the house. The dining area and breakfast bar provide lots of seating for your family plus there's a quaint bistro table to sit at and enjoy the view of the beach and sunsets. The kitchen comes fully equipped with practically every conceivable cooking utensil.
The large wrap around porch off the great room provides a perfect location for keeping an eye on the kids in the private pool (newly re-surfaced Feb 2010) while relaxing in the gulf breezes or cooking on the new propane BBQ grill and viewing the beach from the new November 09 deck extension. Master suite on 2nd floor includes a king size pillow top bed plus adjoining bath with double door entry and private balcony. Top floor tower room is an ideal kids retreat with 2 twin beds and a day bed with trundle, a private balcony and a TV/DVD/VCR. There are TV and video players in each bedroom, a huge variety of beach and pool toys, board games, paperbacks and an extensive collection of movies.
Only 60 steps down the cul-de-sac to the sandy beach and no streets for the kiddo's to cross in this gated, gulf front community. Shops and restaurants are within 100 yards at Gulf Place + Grayton Beach, Seaside and Watercolor are just a few miles away. You can even find wild blackberries on our lot in the springtime! Pet friendly, for small dogs only, $200 non-refundable pet deposit required. Ample parking for 4+ cars. Pool can be heated for an extra charge.

Why the Owner Chose Sunrise Beach
We have been going to the Destin/South Walton area for a long time and had always wanted to own a beach house. The ambiance and culture here are a perfect match for what my family wanted - among other things - dog friendly on the beach itself. County highway 30A goes right by Sunrise Beach and was awarded a "scenic highway" designation by the state of Florida in 2008.

Convenient to walk to Gulf Place, cooking on the bar-b-que grill while watching the sunset on the beach from our new deck, nearby Stinky's restaurant has great food, playing with our Corgi on the beach, visiting Seaside, shopping @ the outlets in Destin, crabbing at our beach in the evening, family get togethers, just plain relaxing, golfing nearby and enjoying the beach ambiance.

We live in the Houston Texas area, have 3 grown children + 1 grandson and for us we've always had to have at least 1 beach vacation every year. We love our home & the area & go there for a 1 week vacation every 2-3 months.
