Delightful detached dormer cottage on the tranquil small island of Aughinish which overlooks Galway Bay.
The island has a rugged coastline and Martello tower and is connected to the mainland by a causeway. Situated in the Burren with its unique landscape, historic monuments, archaeological sites, rare flowers, caves and birdlife.
Tracht Stand and nearest pub 4 miles. Linane's Lobster Bar is just across the inlet, but we don’t have a boat so you have to drive there. The local village of Kinvara is 6 miles away for shops, pubs, restaurants and boat hire.
Fishing, Scuba centre, Aillwee Caves in Ballyvaughan 12 miles. Ferry trips to Islands. Private walled garden, orchard and courtyard. Barbecue and garden furniture.
The cottage is very well furnished and equipped to the highest standards. Downstairs is the kitchen/dining room with gas hob, electric oven and fridge freezer, sitting room with wood burning stove, and stairs to two bedrooms. French doors lead to a patio with BBQ and outdoor table and chairs.
Also downstairs is a bathroom with electric shower and W.C. and the utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and dish washer. Upstairs there are two generous en suite bedrooms (1 double- 4.7m x 5.4m, 1 twin- 3.2m x 5.4m) each with their own shower room and WC (no baths).
