Spacious log home located in gorgeous Granby, Colorado just 13 miles from Winter Park and 60 miles from Steamboat Springs. The home sits atop a ridge overlooking Granby, Sol Vista ski resort, Grand Elk Ranch & Golf Club, and Rocky Mountain National Park. It is a wonderful gathering place for you family and friends or as a cooperate retreat. Comfortable, relaxing, luxury log cabin feel.
Log home has large grand room with fireplace, hardwood floors, granite countertops and stainless appliances. Beautiful views from decks surrounding house. The master bedroom is large with its own private bathroom with oversized tub and walk-in shower. Downstairs are two bedrooms with adjoining bathroom and living room complete with bar which opens to large patio and hot tub.
One bedroom has two full sized beds. The other has full sized bunk bed which comfortably sleeps two couples. Upstairs is a loft with wonderful views. The kitchen is perfect for entertaining. It s fully equipped and has a dining table with room for 10. This home has a comfortable Colorado cabin feel with a taste of luxury. You won't want to leave.
Bring a boat. The largest lake in Colorado, Grand Lake, is 10 miles away and is an excellent recreational place for fishing, waterskiing, and boating. The Grand Elk golf clubhouse is 100 yards away. This club has unprecedented amenities and a Craig Stadler designed course. Cross country skiing, snowmobiling, fly fishing, downhill skiing, hunting, and golfing are all just minutes away.
The Grand Elk Clubhouse has a fabulous restaurant/bar. A perfect place to wind up you day of recreation. Then head on home to the hot tub and a night cap overlooking a star studded rocky mountain sky.

Why the Owner Chose SolVista
This is the perfect location for a getaway. You are close enough to enjoy skiing in the winter, golfing in the summer and yet where this home is located you have privacy and can enjoy the peacefulness and scenery. This is what really drew me to this house. The views are outstanding and it's a nice way to just getaway from the world and let yourself relax and escape.
The Unique Benefits at this House
You have Sol Vista just 5 miles down the road and Winter Park 13 miles down the road. You can see the Grand Elk Ranch & Golf Club right from the house. The Rocky Mountain National Park is also easily accessible.
There is never a lack of anything to do and yet if you chose to relax in the hot tub or just sit on the deck, you are far enough from the 'city' life that you can do so in complete peace. The views are not only outstanding during the day, but at night you can get caught up in star gazing and just sink away from the chaos of the real world.

Rocky Mountain White Christmas!

Thanks for the unexpected Lighted Christmas Tree and Christmas gift! My family had an excellent holiday as we spent Christmas here! Lots of room for everyone and close to everything we wanted to see and do. Rocky Mountain National Park (We saw some Moose), SolVista ski area, Winter Park Ski area and Hot Springs. We loved Grand Lake which is a little tourist town in the mountains (Went to a melodrama there)! The house is huge and had everything we needed for Holiday dinners and cooking. Grocery store is a little over 1 mile away. Sledding hill was also a big hit for us. Not sure about the radiant heating system as the house was cool when it was below zero at night. Also outside faucet was frozen and could not fill the hot tub, but minor problems as we had many other things to do (the master bath jacuzzi was excellent though). Still an excellent stay and pretty much as advertised. We would recommend staying here to anyone!

We just returned from our stay in your beautiful home! There was lots of room for all eleven of us, and there was a constant flury of activity for the whole weekend. I must say the sledding hill was the biggest "hit" of the weekend and it gave many of us hours and hours of fun. The mountain views are fabulous and it's close to Winter Park for skiing and Grand Lake for ice skating. When finished with all of those activities, the hot tub was great! We certainly won't hesitate to return to your home for another visit. We will be recommending it to our friends as well. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home.

Stayed here while skiing in Winter Park. We got to stay in a sweet house vs. crammed in a condo in Winter Park for same price! Really neat log cabin and great view as well. Stars were amazing at night. Enjoyed the hot tub in the evening as well. My kids loved the downstairs and felt like they had their own space with the downstairs den and TV. One night after skiing, we all went to the Hot springs and that was a great treat for our sore skiing muscles. Will be back this winter.

I stayed in this home for a week in March 2011. The house is immaculate. The view is incredible. The kitchen is fabulous! The yard offered so much privacy and my dogs loved the patios! It was nice to be just a few minutes from Winter Park yet far enough away to enjoy the privacy and serenity of the mountains. The rates are probably the best in Granby/Winter Park. I would definitely recommend this place:)
