This was by far the best VBRO experience we have had to date! The communication with the owner was great, the location was amazing and the cottage was so well appointed! The attention to detail by the owner was well noted! If you are looking for a quiet place to relax after a day in wine country, this is your best choice! We were two couples and we had lots of space. The pictures really do not do it justice. The grounds are very spacious and so well groomed. Can't wait to go back! I highly recommend this spot! There are many great wineries just a short drive away or even tasting rooms that you can walk to!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

This home was perfect! Pictures don't do it justice! Next time we are staying longer! Loved sitting by the pool enjoying the beautiful mountain views. The home inside is immaculate. Owner was always responsive when we had questions before the trip. Everything went very smoothly in terms of checking in. We went with another couple and they enjoyed the "pool house.". Perfect place for 2 couples who want to vacation together but still have their own privacy. Would definitely recommend.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Well done. Bocce, spa, pool, outdoor kitchen. Suitable for two couples. More than that, a bit tight inside although outside provides lots of space. Suggestions: Robes, coffee maker in cottage. Grounds are spacious, well thought out and thoroughly pleasant. Priced at market, I think. Quiet neighborhood. I don't think the neighbors would appreciate loud groups. The property exceeded our expectations. I would recommend to friends. Owner was helpful. Very nice experience.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Easy to find, very cute and well done cottage. We stayed over Thanksgiving with marginal weather so we couldn't really take advantage of the outdoor amenities, except the hottub. The cottage was very welcoming and inviting. Ample towels, kitchen items, bedding, etc. We cooked a full Thanksgiving meal in the small kitchen for 6 people and did very well. Beds in particular were "the" most comfortable I've experienced. All of us were having the best night's sleep during our stay. I appreciated the nice TV's, coffee press, full fridge, large towels for swimming/hottub, wifi and secluded master suite in the pool house adjacent to the main house. Lots of small details that are often overlooked were well planned for. Bob checked in with us shortly after we arrived and communicated very well during the rental process leading up to our stay. I would highly recommend this rental to 1-2 couples or even a family with children. 3 couples would be tight, but depending on your familiarity it could work. One small criticism is the hot water. Hot water ran out fairly quickly with 4 adults showering, but with a little spacing it worked out fine. The cottage's location lends to biking, going for a run or even walking to the tastings close by. Overall, we can't say enough good things about the Sonoma Farm House. We will certainly be staying here again in the warmer months.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband and I stayed at Bob's Kenwood property for 3 days for our wedding up in Kenwood/Glen Ellen. Having spent HOURS (if not days) trying to find the perfect location for us during the special weekend - I can assure you this is one of the best options in Sonoma. The house was perfect - we had several sets of friends and family come by during our stay and they all couldn't get over how beautiful it was. The outdoor landscaping is truly fantastic - and while we didn't get a chance to use the hot tub, outdoor kitchen or bocce court - we plan to on our next return trip. Pool is terrific - not too deep - so great for kids. House is well laid out and extremely well stocked including small details like sharp knives, lovely linens, iPod player, bottle of wine, etc. Additionally, Bob was super responsive throughout our process - met me in person to show me the house, had our contract written within a day, super responsive to any emails or phone calls - and is just generally a very nice guy. We are familiar with the region - but also enjoyed reading Bob's reviews of all the local restaurants - we thought they were spot on - so if you aren't familiar with the area you can reference all their recommendations and be confident you are headed to the best spots for dinner, etc. Additionally - Bob has two other properties near the heart of Sonoma square. I've seen both of them - and we had friends stay in both of them for the wedding weekend as well. Similar rave reviews.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We just left Sonoma Country Farmhouse in Kenwood after 4 wonderful days of vacation there. We've rented homes in various locations around the US more than 20 times and this house and guest house are now on the top of my list! This is an absolutely wonderful property that consists of a small one bedroom house with an adjacent, but entirely separate, one bedroom guest house. This was perfect for my group as we had two couples traveling together. The houses and the entire property were impeccably maintained and clean. The landscaping in particular was spectacular. We spent many relaxing hours outside in the hot tub, on the bocce court, or around the fire pit after our busy days visiting vineyards in Sonoma and Napa Valleys. A truly relaxing experience. The owner of this property could not have been more courteous and prompt in his replies to me whether via email or telephone. I cannot recall any previous vacation home owner or rental agency that has been more professional and polite than Bob. The location in general worked out very well for us. I had researched many other options for lodging both in Napa Valley and in Sonoma Valley. Being in Kenwood within Sonoma Valley was great. We were not only able to very easily visit the vineyards in Sonoma but had access to Napa Valley within a 30 - 40 minute drive via either Trinity Road or Calistoga Road right off of Sonoma Hwy (Hwy 12). Now having seen both valleys at length, I would recommend staying in Sonoma Valley both from an experience and expense perspective. Finally, I am so glad that we rented a property like this rather than staying at a hotel or bed and breakfast in either Sonoma or Napa. Being able to come back to our houses and our own grounds (with our own hot tub, pool, outdoor kitchen, etc. ) was great. I'm absolutely certain we had a much better vacation here because of our good fortune to find Sonoma Country Farmhouse. I can strongly recommend this property to anyone!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
