Lush tropical landscaping surrounds this beautifully designed, newly constructed oceanfront Mexican home. Cangrejo y Toro’s unusual style combines contemporary design sensibility with traditional Mexican materials and architecture ………offering peace, luxury and privacy. The home is located on over seven acres of land and with over three hundred fifty feet of oceanfront.
Majahua is a very small authentic Mexican fishing village at the North end of Troncones and a thirty minute drive to the wonderful shopping of Zihuatanjo and the golf courses of Ixtapa. Continuing past the village, on the large undeveloped stretch of Majahua beach is where you will find Cangrejo y Toro.
Three separate structures define this home;
The Main Palapa, with it’s thirty foot soaring ceilings, offers a large kitchen with fully stocked pantry, studio/library, full bath and ocean view dining area. The seventy-foot infinity lap pool and deck reach out to the wide beach and warm Pacific waters. From it's comfortable living room you have a pool and beach/ocean view.
Enjoy the ocean view upon waking up in the traditional Palapa Casita featuring an open-air bathroom with stone shower and outdoor deck. There is a wonderful double daybed for sunset viewing or just finishing the book and naps. If requested we can provide you with up to two extra single beds.
Located on the opposite side of the main Palapa is the brick domed suite, which features a private deck overlooking the beach. The unique master bathroom with its natural features is your private spa, it includes an open rock shower, tree trunk sink and hot tub.
Our wonderful chef, Claudia, will offer you breakfast of local fruits and eggs and additional meals can be arranged if desired. Our caretaker, Marco is on duty all night and will tend to the gardens and pool during the day. They are both wonderful local people, dedicated to making your stay a pleasant private experience. They can help you with making arrangements for local charter fishing, hiking, massage and surfing.
We have spent the last three years constructing Cangrejo y Toro and we are very proud of what we have designed and built…………. experience this special place.
