Why the Owner Chose Kythira
With so many Greek islands overrun with summer tourists, Kythira offers a marvelous experience. Development has been quite limited. Most of the island remins in community hands, meaning huge green spaces and uncrowded beaches. It is also one of the most dramatically beautiful islands in the country with soaring cliffs and amazing views to the mainland. The year round residents are still very much involved with agriculture and the local olive oil and honey are superb.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The village of Perlegianika ia a traditional one with a good mix of full time residents who farm and part timers from the UK, Greece and Australia. It is close to the main town in the area but is a haven of peace and pastoral tranquility.
