We came to Point Clear for a wedding at the Grand Hotel and decieded to make a long weekend stay out of it. Ralph and Wendy were easy to book with and their home is amazing. Very clean and comfortable and roomy. The bayside pier is awesome. We could not keep our nine year old out of the water as it is shallow and the bottom is sandy. Our teenage daughters enjoyed fishing off the end of the pier and catching Blue Crabs in the crab traps and having a crab boil. "Pier Relief" is a great place to relax and enjoy the peace and quite. The only noise came from the many sea gulls and pelicans roosting over the water. We also enjoyed the fresh boiled crawfish from Discount Fisherman bait shop just up the road on Hwy. 98. Our only regret is that we did not have more time to relax on this trip. We will definately be back and will bring our boat.
Owner response:Thank you so much for your kind words. Ralph and I try very hard to make everything just right. We look forward to coming and visiting Lake Wedowee if we can get our schedules right. Thanks again! Wendy

Fresh and clean, the cottage was cool and inviting as we arrived just in time to grab a refreshment and watch the beautiful sunset on the bay. As we prepared dinner, we were delighted with the well provisioned kitchen and quality decor. When we had an issue with the internet, Ralph was to the rescue within the hour. We had a delightful crab boil at the pavillion at the end of the dock and it couldn't have been more perfect for a relaxing and delicious night. Stars twinkled over the bay and there was a nice breeze. My toddler grand son was expecially thrilled with the swings, slides and climbing area downstairs. The pavillion at the end of the pier is also good for the young ones as it has gates that can contain the area. Being a Realtor, my standards are very high. I would highly recommend this arrangement to you for your next adventure to the charming village of Fairhope, AL. There are day trips to Foley for shopping or to Gulf Shores for a day at the beach. Next time we plan a trip to Fairhope, we will check the availability of "Pier Relief" first!
Owner response:Thank you Margaret! Ralph and I are thrilled that you and your family enjoyed your stay at "Pier Relief". Please come again!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful week at Pier's Relief on the week between Christmas and New Year's. Owners Ralph and Wendy Elmore are helpful and accomodating. It's refreshing to stay at a property where the owners obviously care about the quality of your experience and go out of the way to be welcoming! We're veteran travelers, having stayed in countless condos, beach houses, etc., over the years, and I can honestly say that I was stunned by the quality of the furnishings in Pier's Relief. In stead of the typical threadbare, bland, and uncomfortable furnishings and sparsely-supplied kitchens, Pier's Relief had very comfortable beds and furniture, and the kitchen was the best-equipped we've ever stayed in--period. The fresh flowers waiting for us were the icing on the cake. We plan to return, and would recommend PR to any family, young or (like us) old. Thanks, Elmores!

My wife and I use VRBO to rent places several times a year, and Pier Relief was easily one of the best. A great location that allowed us to pack all kinds of fun and sightseeing into a long weekend, and still had time to relax on the awesome pier. Thanks again Wendy, hope to see you next year!

This property had everything we needed. A great view, quiet neighborhood, clean and neat. We loved having the washer and dryer as it came in handy. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and pier just watching the birds dive for their meals. The kitchen had just what we needed for cooking. The master bath had a large closet off to the side and the shower had a nice tile in it and was big enough for two! I recommend this house for a great relaxing vacation. We will definately come back in the future.

We came down to the area to play in the state tennis tournament from June 9th - 13th and this was the perfect get away between matches. The house has a great design and the master bedroom is spectacular with a great bathroom and walk in closet. It is so relaxing and the view is amazing. I had never considered staying on the Bay before but this may be even better than the beach. Ralph and Wendy are very easy to work with and do a great job taking care of this place. You can tell they take alot of pride in it. Thanks guys! We really enjoyed it!

We are in Fairhope for business every year, but like to tack on a few extra days so we can enjoy a little personal time-- and the Pier Relief is a great place for that. The house is great; the large french doors facing the bay and the pier make the the living area very airy and bright, and open onto a lovely back porch. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and very clean,,, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are immaculate also. The pier is our favorite place to sit together and talk and watch the seagulls and the many glorious sunsets. I think we spend more time there than inside. We have also managed to catch a few crabs for our supper in the traps that are generously left there for our use! We also love that the house is on a quite, little-traveled road that is great for walking or jogging. The owners, Wendy and Ralph, are easy to talk to and very accommodating, and we really appreciate that. This is truly a sweet place to get in some r & r!

We are long-time vacationers on Mobile Bay. We rented "Pier Relief" based only on some internet photos, which from past experience, can be good or not so good. When we first spoke with Wendy, we got a good feeling. When we arrived, everything far exceeded our expectations; that's for 4 adults and 2 children. I'm sorry to repeat what others have said but it's so true; you will seldom rent such a well-kept and beautiful property. We had an outstanding time enjoying all the wonderful things Mobile Bay has to offer, not to mention Weeks Bay and Magnolia Springs. Thanks to some great folks, Wendy and Ralph!

Pier Relief exceeded our expectations. Your home was extremely comfortable and clean. As others have mentioned the pictures underestimate the loveliness of your home. There were so many options for things to do in and around the area, but truth be told we practically lived on your pier, reading, relaxing and fishing. We look forward to our return very soon.

Ralph and Wendy have a beautiful place and it was a delight to stay there. The peacefulness of the surroundings was just what we needed to rest our bodies, minds, and spirits. We hope to visit again in the future. The pictures on the web site do not do the place justice. It exceeded our expectations

What a great find! Close enough to everything but still removed enough for a relaxing vacation. The perfect spot for a family getaway. Great kitchen, spotless bathrooms, and comfortable beds ... what more do you need?!?! Ah - a pier gazebo perfect for martinis at sunset. Thank you for a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. We will be back!

UNBELIEVABLE! This place has it all. Lots of space, fully equipped kitchen, and a beautiful gazebo at the end of the pier. The pictures don't do it justice. I hesitated to write this review as I wanted to keep this "find" for myself. Beauty and value for the money. Karen S.

The house was perfect. We had a wonderful visit with our brother and cousins. We will call again to use the house. The Elmore's were easy to work with. Loved the view.
