We invite you to come and stay in our vacation home, where you’ll find everything you need for the best vacation ever. Recently, completely remodeled, from floor to ceiling, the home is newly furnished with items bought specifically with the comfort of all who stay with us in mind. While there are plenty of cabins to choose from, we think you will enjoy ours.
You will find the home nestled down in a cult sac where the road ends and where neighbors are few and space is abundant. The house is open and inviting in the daytime, and cozy and warm to return to in the evening. The living room is very large and offers two great sitting areas. If you are a TV watcher or movie seeker, then the 42 in. flat scr. TV area is for you with several couches, oversized chairs, ottomans, pillows, and throws. Same kind of plush seating is offered on the other side of living room where you can cozy up to the fireplace with a good book. Across the room the log bar is a perfect place to enjoy a drink and conversation while sitting by picture windows looking at mtn. views or watching the kids playing outside in the fenced area. Enjoy family dinners around the handcrafted aspen table in the dining room with seating for 12.
The fully equipped kitchen w/ granite counters, dishwasher, and new appliances overlooks the dining area and has its own bar area with bar stools. The breakfast nook with its seating for 6 more and picture windows make a great place to view wildlife and enjoy coffee in the mornings.
Two bedrooms have queen beds w/ aspen furniture and quilted bedding. Both rooms have armories with TVs for those who need a little TV time before turning lights out. Open a window and enjoy the cool air, or pull the curtains for privacy. The third bedroom offers 3 sets of bunk beds. This makes a great room for the kids or adults. A game table and chairs are also found in this room.
Need a space to let kids be kids? Send them down the hall to the other end of the house – (no stairs to worry about or noise from above in this one –story), but don’t be surprised to find the big kids in the game room also! This room has a TV w/ VHS/DVD player with sofa and comfy chair area along with fuse ball table, ping pong, and dart board. Plenty of movies games and puzzles to choose from.
Outside features patio decking all across the back and a gas BBQ. Lots of room for ice chests and extra chairs for all to gather round. Of course the very best feature of the house and property is the Rio Grande River running in the back yd. There is no better place to fish than right here. Whatever you do, don’t miss out on the simple pleasure of enjoying the river. Stroll from the house to the rivers edge checking on the fisherman and their catch. Or grab a chair, take a book, and go sit by the water. It is the reason we love this home. If fishing’s not your thing, grab a raft and float the river. You can start upstream and float right to the house.
For your convenience, we have made available sat TV, local phone service, and wireless internet should you feel the need to be connected. If you want to escape from those things, we have a complete list of ideas for you to explore or maybe you want to do nothing. That’s what’s great about staying here. We just completed a week at this home. There were 9 of us (all guys) there for an annual fishing trip to CO from Texas. This was the most enjoyable home we have ever rented. The location was great (close to town -- South Fork -- but very private). The best things about this home was the room arrangement, space, and above all the quality of all the furnishings in the house (furniture, kitchen utinsels, appliances, beds). The large (50" I think) Sony flat screen with surround sound system was great for 3 nights watching the complete series of "Lonesome Dove." Overall, a great value for all the space and quality. Thanks for the use of your home.
Recommended for:Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We have stayed at Rio Rainbow Retreat 2 different times. It is the perfect place for a large gathering of friends and family. The river is within walking distance. We have only stayed during the summer and fall so can't give any ideas on winter activites. However, there is horseback riding close by, as well as, lots of hiking trails. Fishing is always a fun time with the river close nad a coiple of lakes nearby. The cabin itself is very comfortable. Even though it is 2900 square feet, it actually is very cozy. The nice part is it is fully furnished....all you need to bring is food and your personal items. We would definitely stay here again!!!!!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
