We were fortunate enough to rent this home for the month of August and found it to be an absolutely wonderful experience! From its top-of-the-hill location just minutes to everything, to the home itself, no detail was overlooked. We love cooking and found the kitchen to be fully stocked with an abundance of pans, cutlery, baking and serving dishes along with top of the line appliances to work with. Another pleasantly surprising motivation to cook was the Sunday Farmers Market that you can literally see from the home's balcony! Another rarity with view homes was the fact that it was completely private! No drapes ever needed and a pool area that no other homes could see! And what a pool area! Not only huge, but the sun is shining on it most all day! To sit in the spa at sunset looking out at that awesome view, it just doesn't get much better! A great open floorplan with excellent separation between bedrooms was another plus in addition to the very comfortable furnishings. A fabulous dining room too! Two walls of huge windows afforded views from every seat! All the electronics one could ask for and wireless computer access as well! Two excellent BBQ's, two stainless heaters and extra propane bottles! Talk about attention to detail! All in all.....a fabulous time in a great home that we will surely return to! Thanks again for making it so memorable! Firstly, we just want to say thanks to David Clark for opening up his beautiful home to us. Our party (my wife and I, our three kids, and my parents) had a great stay at a great home. The panoramic views were amazing. My daughter could not get over the fact that she had a full-sized pool at her discretion - something that is almost overly opulent for simple folk such as us. Lisa took great care of us and made sure that our stay was comfortable. Hopefully we will be back one day!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

I spent a week here with my family. First I should say that the pictures do not do justice to this property. We were stunned with the views and the open design/layout of the house. Even the decor has been nicely updated compared to the pics. The views of the ocean and all of La Jolla from the pool and the balconies really sell this place. Secondly, the real estate agent we were in contact with and the owner were very accomodating, friendly, and easily available. The rooms are convienently divided into different quarters of the house. At the far end of the house, there is an upstairs suite with a separate lounging/tv area, bedroom and full bath. I was also pleased to find a pack n play for the baby to sleep in and an umbrella stroller.There are several bodyboards, plenty of beach towels, and a large laundry room to dump all of your swimsuits/towels.
