Our week in this lovely Paris apartment could not have been better. The landlord Josette arranged to have us picked up at the airport. After arriving at the apartment we got a thorough tour including a list of local recommendations and other resources (maps, english-french dictionary and so on). Below the apartment was a wonderful bakery and across the street was a butcher and also a wine shop. The apartment is very well equipped. Great location, close to 2 metro stations and in a safe residential neighborhood. The beds and linens were exceptionally comfortable. The listings photos were accurate and it was very clean. Four Stars.

Josette was just fantastic. She went out of her way to help us before and during our stay. The apartment was perfect for our needs and in a great neighbourhood. It is close to the Luxembourg Gardens which we visited daily. The RER is nearby and there are good patisseries and restaurants. Antonio at the wine shop across the street was very nice and helpful. The apartment was a perfect place to relax with a glass of rose' at the end of a busy day sightseeing. Everything about our stay was great. We hope to visit again and would happily recommend the apartment to anyone wanting to experience the real Paris . Josette is the perfect host , many thanks for a wonderful holiday

Our stay here was wonderful. The apartment was beautiful (just as pictured), lots of attention to detail and very comfortable. Very close to the metro, the Double Decker tourist bus stop, restaurants and every convenience. Josette was such a wonderful host and a godsend to us as my husband had a medical emergency. She helped us get to the emergency room, interpreted for us to get him immediate care and even set an appointment with her own Doctor as a follow up. We stayed a week and that wasn't enough. We would definitely return!!

Whether this is your first time in Paris or one of many, the stay at this cosy apartment will be pleasantly unforgettable. The moment we walked in we were greeted by our wonderful host and from there on we kept on discovering new things that kept us delighted throught the stay, such as charming and conviniently located downstaris bakery, the famous restaurant "La closerie des lilas" and Luxembourg garden. The apartment had everything we needed and we felt at home. The location of the apartment will allow you to have a restfull downtime, yet it is in close proximity to major landmarks and shopping areas. Thank you for making our stay special!

As a family of five experiencing Europe for the first time, this apartment did not dissappoint. Josette met us at the apartment and patiently walked us through the unit, answering all of our questions along the way. She even assisted us in arranging transportation from and to the airport. She also provided us with restaurant recommendations and directions to the grocery stores. The location was great, with lots of restaruants and shops nearby. We felt very safe and comfortable with the neighborhood and often went out for walks at night. Given the December weather, on some days we utilized the Metro to get around and from the Port Royal station, which is very close to the apartment, we could very easily get to any location in Paris. The apartment provided our two teenagers and 20 year old with enough space for their winding down time at the end of a busy day touring Paris. The wireless internet and computer worked very well and we were able to keep up with things back home. The TV and wonderful collection of DVDs provided us with night time entertainment. The kitchen allowed us to have breakfast in the morning before our daily departure and provided us with the flexibility of being able to eat in if we decided to do so. The unit was very clean and well furnished and equipped. The photos accurately reflect the apartment's appearance and amenities. We would recommend this property to anyone with a group/family of 5 to 6.

The apartment was beautiful and well decorated Josettte even brought a crib for our young child. The location was perfect being close to two metros and within walking distance of so many sights as well as easy acsess to food. We especially loved the wine store Barrecca across the street and the bakery downstairs. We had our parents and baby with us and there was plenty of room but I could also see renting this apartment as just a couple seeking a romantic getaway. The shower room is gorgeous, I want my bath at home to be like this. Josette and her husband were super friendly, helpful and very easy to get ahold of. Dealing with Josette is a delight!

We would wholeheartedly recommend this flat! We are three 50+ women who stayed in Josette's apartment the last week in June. Josette met us the day we arrived and greeted us warmly, leaving us with a delicious brioche, bread and fresh fruit. When she found out that one of us was going to be sleeping on the couch, she and her husband, Jean-Marie returned with a portable bed and set it up in the dining room. The apartment looks just like the pictures; it is beautifully decorated, charming and very clean. It has many conveniences such as a well-stocked kitchen, extra towels, adapters for the plugs, information on Paris, movies, etc. We were surprised and pleased to discover we could call home to the US for no charge. We also made good use of the computer to find restaurants and print out walking maps of where we needed to go. The flat is in a fairly quiet neighborhood with a metro stop a block away. We walked to many of the places we visited including Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Marais district, etc. It was so nice to come back to our lovely, comfortable apartment at the end of our busy days. We are grateful to Josette and Jean-Marie for going out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They went above and beyond to help us out. We will recommend this apartment to family and friends.

We are a family of four who stayed in this apartment the second week of June. We found it to be exactly as pictured and described. We were able to walk to many things, including the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens and patisseries and grocery stores in the area. It was close to the Metro when we needed to take that. Because this was the first time we'd rented an apartment in Paris, I was concerned about the lack of a concierge to help us. There was no problem, however. Josette arranged our transportation to and from the airport and was available by email. We also used to computer bo get information and to make reservations and buy tickets on line. The kitchen was fully equiped and the apartment had all the amenities of home. I've recommended it to many of my friends.

We stayed in this lovely place for 8 days, and it was just perfect. The apartment offers everything that a visitor to Paris could possibly want. It is in a superb location -- on a picturesque street, next to a bakery and across the street from a fine boucherie and an excellent wine shop, with many good restaurants nearby, a Metro station only two blocks away, and the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens a short stroll away. We quickly fell into the habit of beginning our days with pastries from the bakery next door, eaten as we walked to that day's first destination, and ending our days with a glass of wine from the wine shop across the street. The apartment itself was spotless and decorated in a memorable continental style. The two bedrooms are good-sized, there is plenty of closet space, and a third person can (and in our case, did) easily sleep on the wide sofa in the living room. The apartment offers a desktop computer with internet, wireless for those who bring their laptop as we did, and a TV-DVR set up with a huge cache of DVD movies. There is a bright kitchen that is equipped with every utensil you might need (including the essential corkscrew), and a dining room with table that we used one night for an eat-in dinner (featuring pate, cheese, wine and baguettes we bought in the neighborhood) and on other evenings as the location for late-night card games. There also is a handy washer and dryer which we used, and the bathroom has plenty of hot water. The windows open and, during the early May days of our stay, provided a refreshing breeze and street sounds of the students and families walking past. In short, this place was charming, wonderful, gave a real taste of what it would be like to live in Paris, and greatly exceeded my expectations. I also want to mention that the owners, Josette and her husband, were incredibly nice, accommodating people. They came over to show us how to work the TV-DVR set up and the washer and dryer, were quite conversant in English, and provided very useful information on places to eat, places to shop, and places to exchange currency at the most favorable rates. I would recommend this place to anyone. It was just terrific, and has made us into big fans of vrbo.com.

Our stay in Paris could not have been better. We were a family of four with two boys, 8 and 10. We do quite a bit of traveling with and without the kids. This being said, we’re very particular about the locations we visit and the places we stay. This trip was longer than most, since we were away for 3 months. Josette and Jean Marie's place offers more than what meets the eye on the VRBO site. It has all of the comforts of home, and then some. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to cook for the family or to entertain guests. Each of the bedrooms have a large chest and drawers for storing your belongings. The spacious living and dining rooms are cozy areas to kick back and relax after a day of sightseeing. Most importantly, the true value of your stay here, has to go to your hosts. Josette and Jean Marie are wonderful. They will do everything in their power to make sure your stay with them is nothing short of spectacular. I’m looking forward to seeing them again...hopefully in the not so distant future.

In August, my wife and I spent a great week at Josette's apartment on Val de Grace with our son, daughter-in-law and their 7 and 11 year old children. The apartment is lovely and just a short walk to the Luxembourg Gardens - that was a real highlight for the kids. The apartment was lovely -- furnishings were lovely and comfortable - the washer and dishwasher were European size but top quality and the bath was luxurious (the separate toilet room was also European size but the 6 of us managed) and the TV-entertainment center was top notch. With 6 of us it was tight and we were concerned that 2 American kids would break some of the lovely artifacts, but it all went well. Josette also has a great collection of French DVD movies and interesting books, along with lots of guides to Paris. Josette herself is the best part - so helpful. If we had trouble figuring out the HDTV or the washing machine, we picked up the phone and she came right over. She was there to greet us when we arrived and left our luggage, and she helped us get a reasonable rate for the six of us and lots of luggage to get back to the airport. It was just so nice to be personal guests in her flat. If we get back to Paris again, we would choose to stay there (although with not more than four persons.

We stayed two weeks in this well appointed and located apartment. You are very close to the Port Royal RER station, and a brief walk to metro stations. Everything you need is in the apartment, computer, televisions, DVD players, iPod players, washer, dryer, pots, pans, plates, linens etc. The apartment is also close to restaurants, grocery stores, retail shops, and the most beautiful park in Paris. Josette and her husband were the perfect hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The apartment looks just like the photographs but is actually a little larger than it appears. There was more than enough room for the four of us. I highly recommend Josettes' apartment if you are considering staying in the 5th district, an area of Paris that is overloaded with charm and adventure around every corner. Make sure you wander Rue Mouefftard when you stay here, it will not disappoint.

We stayed here on our recent trip through France and Italy. The apartment is beautiful and sits in the Latin Quarter, very close to everything. The apartment is very well appointed and includes all amenities for the traveler. The espresso machine is a wonderful touch and was well used! Josette is a gracious host. Both her and her husband were readily available for any need. Downstairs just outside the main door is a patisserie and a fresh butcher shop. Metro is a short walk away, linking you to all of Paris. A strong recommendation to anyone interested in staying in this part of Paris. We would definitely go back

Our stay at the apartment was fantastic! The place was beautifully decorated with lots of interesting books up in the dining room. It was very clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and the pictures on the website truly reflect the beautiful style of the apartment. We took advantage of the kitchen and all the DVD movies that were available in the apartment. The location was perfect for us, as we were close to Jardin du Luxemborg and two RER B lines which made getting around Paris a breeze. We got well acquainted with the neighborhhood food shops, including the bakery, wine, butcher and grocery store all within about a 3 minute walk from the apartment! Josette and her husband were so gracious to even arrange a private car to pick us up at the airport and met us at the apartment to show us around. She was so kind as to also arrange for us to have a taxi on our last day back to the airport, and met us to say goodbye that day as well. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation in Paris and for your wonderful apartment and service to your guests! As my father in law on our trip said, it's not a matter of if we'll return to your apartment but when...

he apartment was a great choice! The location was convenient and pleasant, in a lovely neighborhood with a bakery practically next to the apartment building. It was also a short walk to the Metro or to nearby cafes and grocery shops. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and furnished with so many interesting articles--books, films, cd's--and for more practical purposes, travel guides and dictionaries. The rooms comfortably slept five, and the kitchen contained everything we needed. The hostess was wonderful and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. We definitely hope to return in the future!

We spent a week at 14 Rue Val de Grace at Christmas time, 2009. Josette is indeed a most accommodating hostess--she waited patiently for us when our train was delayed, made restaurant reservations for us, and even provided a lovely Christmas tree! The apartment was exactly as described, with comfortable beds, excellent appliances, and a spacious bathroom with a great shower. (The fact that the toilet occupies its own room is definitely a plus when four people are sharing a bathroom.) We thoroughly enjoyed the CD and DVD collections and the many Paris guidebooks in the apartment. Paris is a very special city, and this is a wonderful home away from home from which to enjoy it. Highly recommended!

My family stayed in the ValDe Grace apartment for a week during June of 2009. We have three children, ages 8 - 13 and thought this apartment was perfect! It is close to transit and shopping and was extremely comfortable. We actually could have probably had one more person sleep comfortably in the apartment with us. The people who worked in the boulangerie right next door were so friendly and helpful with our poor (but attempted) french. And Josette was a most accomodating hostess! She helped arrange transportation to the apartment when we first arrived and also set up reservations at a nice restaurant that we would have never known about (and then surprised up by picking us up in a taxi she was taking to a party herself that night!) The apartment was very comfortable, beautifully furnished, and everything we wanted it to be for our first (but definitely not last!) trip to Paris. Thanks again, Josette!

Josette, The apartment was perfect, even more lovely than the pictures. The location could not have been better with wonderful boutiques and bakeries around every corner. Five middle aged women were always comfortable and we were easily able to accomodate 7 guests for dinner! The kitchen was a miracle, nothing we wanted was missing (including the champagne saver that we never actually needed) The apartment was perfect,Your attention to detail and attention to us was wonderful. My husband, adult daughter, and I totally enjoyed our two week stay in this charming Rue du Val de Grace apartment with every amenity. Dear Josette, My family and I had a lovely time in the apartment. You and your husband could not have possibly been more accommodating or kind – especially upon the sight of two rambunctious children. The apartment was absolutely lovely – even more so than it appears in the photographs. The location could not be any more easy for getting around. What a pleasure to be so centrally located, but still in such a charming neighborhood. I do hope that we’ll have the opportunity to stay in your apartment in the future. All best wishes from Texas – where it is far too hot! Denise Amy Baxter, Ph.D.Denton - Texas - USA

Dear Josette We are now back home in Perth having had a wonderful holiday. We’d like to thank you for making your wonderful apartment available for rent. It was perfect for our purposes, the two double bedrooms were perfect for my husband, myself & our teenage daughter. The modern bathroom & kitchen were lovely to use. The large lounge room with roomy couch was very comfortable and the impressive dining room was a bonus. We loved the apartment as we felt we had moved into a fully furnished and decorated home, not just a rental. Your collection of objet d’art, books and lovely furniture made our stay very special. The location was also ideal, whilst we felt we were living in a French community we had easy access to the Metro & the close by Luxembourg Gardens are so beautiful as well as great restaurants in close proximity. The apartment had everything one would need right down to the champagne stopper! Our sincere thanks. Janine & Rick Kyle. Perth - AUSTRALIA

Our comments on the Apartment in Paris. "We had a lovely stay in this apartment for 4 days. We had young children so it was great to be so close to Luxembourg gardens where there was plenty to entertain them. The apartment was quintessential french and also with all the mod cons - internet access, washing machine and dryer - that you need. It was also a good size as we had 5 people staying comfortably. The owners were very helpful." We have been telling a few people back here how lovely your apartment was. Suzan. AUSTRALIA

We recently stayed at this lovely apartment, conveniently located near the RER-B with easy airport access. Our host, Josette, added to our Parisian experience. She greeted us at the apartment and had recommendations for markets and restaurants in the immediate area. The location, close to Luxembourg Gardens, is on a quiet street with a view of Val de Grace. It was very easy to use the subway system or just walk from this location. The apartment was comfortably furnished, had many art pieces, books, movies ... We hope to return someday. Deborah.
