Dixie Gem is located on 30-A in the Beaches of South Walton Area. A 17 mile biking and walking trail is located along the entire length of 30-A. If you didn’t have room for everyone’s bicycle don’t worry. Big Daddy’s rents bicycles as well as a full line of ocean kayaks, surfboards and beach gear. They also have complimentary delivery. The scenic views of 30-A are best enjoyed when taking a bike ride.

Things to do while visiting the area...

There are many activities to enjoy in the area such as bike riding on the many bike paths down and around County Road 30-A; there is an abundance of shopping and dining down 30-A such as in Seaside, Watercolor, Rosemary Beach, Grayton Beach, and Dune Allen. There are fantastic restaurants nearby such as Cafe 30-A and Old Florida Fish House. Red Bar is also a very popular favorites restaurant in Grayton Beach. If you are interested in taking the kids to a fun place to roam around, shop, eat, and possibly enjoy a local concert in the Amphitheater, make a day trip to Seaside.

Visit Destin! The Silver Sands Outlet Mall gives you access to over 100 stores, Polo Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Liz Claiborne, Tommy Hilfiger, Lenox, Nike and Reebok - just to name a few. For dining you can choose from Panera Bread, Cheeseburger in Paradise or Carrabba's Italian Grill. For a caffeine break, there is a Starbucks at the Outlet Mall too!

More great shopping can be found at the Destin Commons outdoor mall, Enjoy such great stores as Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Belk, Books-A-Million & Maui Nix Surf Shop to rattle off a few.
