This apartment was great! The owner/inn keeper was very nice and accommodating. I went at the end of September and would definantly choose staying here instead of a hotel. The apartment was clean and had a comfy bed. The location was awesome! A lot of ooptions of things to do within walking distance. We walked all over Boston from the South Side to North Side in a day. Also close to Copley Square and grocery stores/restaurants/bars. We were able to see all the touristy stuff in the 3 days we were there. I would highly recommend staying here. Love it!!!!!

Great location that's walkable to the Common, the restaurants on Tremont, Prudential, Fenway, Art Museum. North End a bit of a hike, but with the T stop 2 blocks away, no big deal. With the T, even easy to Cambridge, JFK museum. An unusual layout with 1 BR upstairs and rest of living area down, but worked out great. The patio out back keeps it from feeling like a basement. Good kitchen for eating in and the Shaw's Mkt at Pru is convenient. Julia, the owner, is so sweet -- even stopped at Whole Foods for us the evening of our 11pm arrival at Logan and got us soup, bread, salad and wine! A little confusion about the sheets for the futon was straightened out pretty well. All in all this is a way better deal than a hotel. We shall be back!

This Boston vacation rental is located in an ideal location for seeing the city. Everything you need is within walking distance. There are restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and transportation nearby. We did not have a car and getting around the city was easy. The property was clean and the owner was most helpful. I would highly recommend this property for taking in the beautiful city of Boston.

It was perfect for us. Great part of town and close to the subway which we used to go everywhere. We had our breakfasts in, we did a little entertaining, it's what whatever you want it to be. Only defect was the refr. which made a lot of noise when it fired up at night.
Owner response:We're glad you enjoyed your stay! The refrigerator has been replaced so that won't be a problem for future guests. Thank you!

We had a 5 night stay here in May and enjoyed it immensely. The owner, Julia, was very friendly and answered all our queries before and during our stay. Our friends were staying in the apartment next door to us so we had a shared hallway just with them. The apartment was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with crockery/cooking utensils. There was soap, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets left for us which was very helpful. The beds in both bedrooms were a little uncomfortable - they both seemed quite old. It wasn't enough to warrant a complaint though if we had been staying for longer we would probably have mentioned it to the owner. I believe one of them was being replaced on the day we left anyway. The apartment was in a great location and we walked every day to different tourist attractions around Boston. There are a few restaurants and a small supermarket nearby so we had some good choices for local places to eat after a day of sightseeing. We had two meals in Piccos restaurant nearby and they were great at accommodating a fairly large group (6 adults, 6 young children). Brilliant bread and pizzas there too. If we were returning to Boston for another visit, I would have no hesitation in booking this apartment again.

Owner was very helpful and always available. Apartment was large and well furnished. Loved having Brita water purifier available! Having a computer available on site was great too! I definitely plan on staying here again.

We wanted to be in the city, yet have space for the whole family and have a kitchen. This rental fit the bill! Quick walk to T stop, Copley, Tremont restaurants, etc. Everything you need for a great city vacation. Plus, you feel like you are a Boston local staying in a brownstone rather than a trendy hotel. My only critique is that I wished they had the bigger flat screen T.V. in the main room and the small T.V. in the bedroom, as we often hung out and played cards and watched sports but had to do so with a small screen. Maybe that can be a request to the owner? Also, everything was clean and well-maintained. Great value for Boston!

My wife and I were very pleasantly surprised to find such nice accomodations on short notice. Julia & crew were curteous, prompt, and friendly. The facilities were very nice. In fact, much nicer than we had anticipated. With access to the "T", shopping, and parking within a few block, the location was ideal. Also important to mention, the neighborhood had a very "safe" feel, as well as being very clean & well kept.

We could walk around the corner to many restaurants and it was only a 5 minute walk to the Back Bay T stop. Very convenient for getting around Boston. Although very close to all activities the district offers (restaurants, theater, shopping, etc) we were surprised how it was quiet in the evening. We liked having a kitchen and the wireless wifi. The owner was very helpful and provided everything we needed. It was also cleaned and weel maintained although the photos on the internet did not completely reflect the appereance (they seem to have been taken a few years ago...). Our favorite close-by restaurants: Coppa Enoteca on Shawmut ave. - Tapas style Petit Robert Bistro on Columbus Ave. - French cuisine Picco Pizzeria on Tremont St. - Great pizza and ice cream

Two parents and three young children spent a very happy week here. It was great to be able to eat in when the kids couldn't manage a restaurant meal, and there are a lot of great restaurants nearby for when they could. There was some problem with the fuses (maybe strain because of the heat wave?), but Julia was very attentive generally and was quick to get this particular problem addressed. The proximity to the Back Bay and Copley Square stations made getting around to sightsee a breeze.

I stayed here during Boston Marathon weekend and it was great. I liked having a kitchen and the wireless wifi. We could walk around the corner to many restaurants and it was only a 5 minute walk to the Back Bay T stop. Very convenient for getting around Boston and relaxing before and after the marathon. Julia was very helpful and provided everything we needed.

The location of the apartment was very pleasant and convenient for what my wife and I wanted to do, and it was very quiet. The kitchen was large and well-appointed. Julia was helpful with suggestions on shopping and general information about the area. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were good. However, the bedding downstairs was unsatisfactory because one futon was broken and the other difficult to set up, so two family members had to sleep on the floor,
Owner response:We would like to point out that when this guest made the owner aware of the broken futon, she offered to replace it right away or have someone come in to repair it. The guest told her not to worry and that her daughter could sleep on the floor. The futon has since been repaired. We're glad that the owner could accommodate your extra, unexpected guests and are happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Boston.

We searched long and hard and came back to rent this apartment because it was affordable yet in the heart of Boston's attractions, and spacious for our family of 5. The best part was that it added to our experience of old, quaint Boston because it was in a lovely brownstone in a neighborhood. My children could venture out to the local shops and cafe's without me. We walked and took short subway rides to our destinations and most of the restaurants we ate in were walkable. I recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to really experience Boston.

We found the accommodation excellent, convenient, and quiet, although virtually in the middle of the city! We were able to walk to first class restaurants, and the T subway was just a short hop away. We found it spacious for 4 of us and particularly liked the décor and style, which fit in with the entire experience of being in Boston. Julia, the owner, is very helpful and pleasant. If we come to Boston again, we will try to reserve this, which is through Bed and Breakfast Associates Bay Colony in Boston. We have already recommended this service to other friends.
