We're professionals living in Berkeley, CA.
Why the Owner Chose Calistoga
We've been going on vacation in Calistoga since 1993 when our kids were still small. Recently we had the opportunity of changing from renting to owning and we've spent even more time there. It takes only a bit over one hour from our house in Berkeley, but the change in scenery, climate, and feeling still surprise us every time. We call the secluded garden with its sparkling pool and a view on the adjacent vineyard and oak-dotted, yellow mountains "our little Narnia", as nothing prepares you for that new world as you enter the house from the street.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We particularly enjoy bicycling leasurely to the many nearby wineries, or to pick wild blackberries to put in the next pie, or explore the make-believe Etruscan ruins at a Venetian's transplant's estate nearby. Sometimes we do mudbaths in town, peruse the latest additions in the local art galleries, or get authentic mexican take-out at the Vallarta Market which is completely unknown to the tourists.
