Fabulous weather, great swimming, dune diving, wave jumping & cycling, as well as Anne of Green Gables. Staying at the cottage was a great experience and its a great location in PEI. My favorite experience was going swimming at basin head The house provided a very pleasant home for our familyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The house was as advertized - clean with plenty of room for the 10 of us. The owner's made the whole process easy. It's location near St. Peter's Harbour makes the house very easy to get to island sights and it's nearby a really beautiful beach (4 minutes by car) that is virtually uninhabited and goes on for miles. The water is shallow for the first 20 or 30 metres or so with a sand bottom - good for children of all ages.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

We took our family to PEI including two grandchildren to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary! St. Peters Bay area was a wonderful choice! The house offered us a bedroom for each of the children and each family had the privacy of their own room. The screened in porch area was perfect in the evening when the bugs were acitve. We purchased live lobster at St. Peters Harbour and enjoyed being able to cook it ourselves and enjoy it-----the kitchen was incredibly well stocked! The owners were very helpful answering a myriad of questions. We really loved the beach on St. Peters' Bay road----probably the prettiest in PEI. Hopefully we can return one day soon.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is one of the few reviews that we have taken the time to post for our holidays but necessary because we feel that this cottage deserved a good review. We had a lovely stay at this Morell home (thank you Val), which proved nice, clean and spacious. This was our second summer returning to PEI, but the first time staying in Morell and it was a good one. Full amenities were provided including 2 washers and 2 dryers, a screen-in porch with BBQ, nice open kitchen, nicely arranged bedrooms with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Morell itself proved to be further away from our various (swimming) beach and clam digging destinations (we had stayed in Covehead the year''s past) but nothing in PEI is that far away from each other that a day trip is not possible. Val, the owner was responsive and professional to deal with. We would recommend this cottage to friends.Recommended for: Families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks for the lovely review. We try to provide a comfortable home for everyone's holiday. I try to be attentinve to my potential renters, and renters if they have any questions/concerns

Thanks for sharing your wonderful PEI Beach House. The home was spacious, well-equipped and spotless. We enjoyed long walks along the nearby beaches of St Peters Bay and the Gulf. Close proximity to the nicest part of the Confederation Trail was an added bonus and I highly recommend the bike ride from Morell to St Peters Bay and back, with the requisite visit to St Peters Landing ice cream parlour for refueling. We cooked some great meals in the well laid out kitchen and enjoyed watching movies in the comfortable living room in the evening. I would definitely recommend Valerie's beach house to everyone wanting a memorable PEI vacation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
