This delightful vacation rental apartment is above the garage of a beautiful home in a quiet Old Town neighborhood, Georgetown's historic district. 7 blocks away is the Georgetown Square (recently named The Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas). The Square boasts many restaurants and charming shops. Walking distance to Southwestern University and St. David's Hospital in Georgetown, Texas. There is a washer and dryer inside the apartment for guests' exclusive use. We provide the laundry soap. Guests are also welcome to use the private back yard swimming pool, weather permitting.
The apartment has a bedroom with pillow-top queen sized bed and ample closet room. (This is a true one-bedroom furnished apartment, not a studio apartment.) High thread-count sheets will give you a good night's sleep. Down a short hallway and around the corner is the living area. One person can watch TV in the living area without disturbing the other's sleep, which we feel is so important when two people are traveling together. In the living area, you can kick back with your feet up, watch TV with DirecTV satellite or pop a movie into the DVD player. You'll also find a table for two, and a kitchen complete with full-size refrigerator, stove, and microwave. All utensils, dishes, and linens are provided.
Guests have full use of the private swimming pool with luxury lounge chairs, barbecue grill, and enclosed gazebo in the back yard. We want you to enjoy your stay, and we'll do everything we can to make sure you're comfortable.

Without exception, our long-term guests have been completely satisfied with our guest apartment as a corporate housing option. It's a fully furnished apartment in Georgetown, Texas, and there aren't many of those out there. With utilities included, this home-away-from-home is more affordable than a hotel or B&B and even comparable extended stay options... and much nicer, in our opinion. Certainly quieter and more private.

Relocating from Berlin, Germany to the Austin area I spent 6 weeks in this wonderful apartment. From the first moment it felt like home. Arriving with two bags, preparing for a new life in the United States, the apartment has everything I needed. Special thanks to Larry and Jenel and of course to Sidiqi. They made this stay absolutely perfect and helped me in any way you can imagine. The location is excellent, close to the beautiful old town and San Gabriel River with all the trails within stunning nature. All shopping and dining amenities are very close so you don´t miss anything. I can highly recommend this vacation rental and I can tell you I have seen a lot. This one is perfect! The problem I have in writing this review is that if all of you out there looking for a perfect place decide to experience this for yourselves, it will more than likely be booked the next time I want to come back to Georgetown. I can not say enough about the hosts, they are amazing! One would be hard pressed to find a need that is not anticipated. Clean to the Nth degree. Everything about this experience makes you feel wanted and comfortable. If you do not already have a reason to visit this part of the world you should consider just dropping in to experience something relaxing and fun. The food in Georgetown is reason enough to come here. Whatever your reason for visiting, just make sure that Jenel and Larry are your innkeepers. Great apartment! Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was provided to make my five day stay at this apartment comfortable. Thoughtfullness by the owners is the key to how great is the apartment. Not only clean but charmingly and completly furnished, kitchen included. The owners seem to know everything I'd need or want to be charmed and comfortable, and to have provided it in the apartment before I arrived. Last minute finding, and WOW! Had an open weekend, packed our bags and headed north. We were clueless as to where we'd stay. Didn't feel like staying in big citiy hotels. Called various listings on vrbo and luckilt we received a call from Janel with the news of availabilty as we started heading into Austin, and thank God! Affordable and very nice! If your looking for a get away this is it! A lovely apt that offered a selection of dvd's, magazines and books, a great little kitchen, cozy bed, nice yard with a sparkly pool! Arrived 10 min. Exceptional hosts I'm now looking for an excuse to take my 3 girls, they'd enjoy it. They'd also fall in love with Sudoki!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I stayed for 3 monthes while relocated for work temporarily. Jenel and Larry (and Sidiqi!) were very gracious hosts. Sidiqi befriended my dog, Bear, while at work and Jenel and Larry did everything possible to make me feel at home. I enjoyed my stay here from the fragrant roses blooming in the drive to the sparkling salt water pool waiting to refresh me every evening. The inside of the guest suite was quite lovely and spacious. There was so much 'home' and charm in this home away from home. Beautiful artwork lined the walls and mosiacs to brighten your day. Every amenity one could wish for including the historic downtown a few minutes walk away. I would highly recommend anyone to steal away to this little piece of heaven. About the owner: We lived overseas for many years and traveled extensively during that time. We created this guest apartment as the kind of place we enjoyed staying when visiting Europe and Australia. A self-catered apartment, if you will, someplace clean and quiet, with a full kitchen so guests don't have to eat out every single meal. While we enjoyed visiting restaurants during our travels, it was also really nice (and more affordable) to be able to spend quiet time at in our long-term, furnished apartment. We really want this vacation rental/corporate housing apartment to feel like home to our guests while they're visiting us. Larry is a retired aircraft mechanic and Jenel works from home as a virtual assistant, which is a fancy way of saying she does secretarial and administrative work from home. We have a loving but rambunctious dog named Sidiqi. (Pronounced suh-DEE-kee.) Sidiqi means friend in Arabic, and he is an abundantly friendly dog. He's a golden retriever/poodle mix (a goldendoodle), and he has never met a person he didn't like. No, love. The moment he sees you, he will feel an instant, pure, deep, and abiding love for you. That's just the kind of dog he is.
Why the Owner Chose Georgetown:
This apartment is above the garage at our home. We built the apartment for our friends and family and decided to make it available as a vacation rental when it was vacant. We lived for ten years overseas. The vacation rental apartment is the kind of holiday stay we enjoyed renting when vacationing in Europe. With a full kitchen, comfortable chairs, separate bedroom, and a washer & dryer, the apartment has everything you need for a comfortable vacation. SO much better than a hotel!
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Our home is across the street from Old Town Park, within walking distance to the Georgetown Square (7 blocks), Southwestern University, and St. David's Hospital - closer than any hotel in Georgetown Texas. Just 10 minutes from our door to the Round Rock Premium Outlets, and 25 miles to 6th Street in downtown Austin. We are about 10 minutes away from Sun City, Texas. Our back yard is very popular with guests. We have nice outdoor furniture beside the pool and beneath a screened-in gazebo. Very comfortable outdoor living. When we have guests in the apartment, we generally close the shades on our house, giving our guests what is essentially a private back yard with a pool. We try to be available for guests who have questions, while also respecting our guests' privacy. The apartment is above our detached garage, so you will be able to come and go freely, without feeling like you're being watched at all times. Any time you need something, you can call or come knock on our door, but otherwise, you don't need to see us at all. This is not like a bed and breakfast, where you interact every day with the owners. You might meet us when you check in, but then you won't see us again unless you need something.
