We rented this property to celebrate a special event with family. The house was unique and beautiful! The owner was so friendly and answered all our questions before we got there and even contacted us once we were there to make sure we liked the house and had everything we needed. It was so great to be able to stay in such a great location for a reasonable price that was so close to Cedar Point! I would definitely recommend this property and hope to visit it again in the future!

Awesome House and Location

We just spent a few days at this house for a bachelor party and had an amazing time. The house is just as the pictures look - very chic, modern, and very well kept. Doug, the owner, was very helpful in securing our reservation, checking in during our few days there, and wrapping up our stay. You can't beat the view and the lake breeze the big windows provide. The location, closer to the base of the peninsula, was also a great as this made access to the city of Sandusky very simple.

Peaceful Getaway

The house was amazing! Clean and directly across from the water. Only downer was the mufflehead bugs. We had never seen them before. They are only annoying but harmless. There were so many we could not enjoy the deck outside. Once inside,we felt right at home. Wonderful stay. If you bring a young child bring your own playpen for sleep and bring house sleepers with grips as the steps are polished wood.

Our family had a wonderful weekend in this home. The lake and bay provide a beautiful panorama from any window view. The home is beautiful and decorated very comfortably, so many nice touches.

This place is awesome!! Ultra modern. Made us feel like we were one of the rich and famous. Great layout. Each bedroom has it's own private bath.The kitchen is massive. The view is undescribable. Lots of windows to enjoy the lake breeze. Can't wait to go back.

My family had a great time staying in this "ultra" cool home with wonderful views of Lake Erie. The house is very convenient to Cedar Point as we zipped right down the road and did not encounter any traffic. There were 6 of us, (4 adults and 2 kids) and the house was just the right size. Beds are very comfy, which is a plus when you are away from home. Owner was very accommodating when it came to "checking out" (as there wasn't anyone booked for the next few days) we were told we did not have to rush. Too bad my hubby wanted to hit the road early since we had a long drive. Our stay was fun and relaxing and people from Ohio are so friendly! We can't wait to go back.

The view was amazing and the place was very clean! I will now make this a once a year trip and stay at this home. Plus, the road leads to Cedar Point amusement part. Doug even let us stay later Sunday (our check date) to enjoy his place. I highly recommend this place for any time of the year. The view cannot be described unless you are actually there. Two thumbs up!

Winter Weekend Away @ Kalahari

Once again we had a great weekend in Sandusky. This is our second year in renting from Doug. We had two family's this year in this house it worked out great. It was a perfect place to stay & visit Kalahari Water-park. Kids & adults had a great time, & the house was perfect for our group. We also rented another property a few doors away to accommodate the rest of our group. It was great because we were close enough to all share a meal together Saturday night. Hope to be back again next year.

Our stay at this georgeous home was absolutely wonderful. The home was tastefully decorated, and very clean. The deck was very nice to enjoy our morning coffee and meals on. Perfect house for a weekend at the lake

I just spent the weekend at this house along with three other friends from growing up. It was a perfect place for a pleasant weekend at the lake. The whole house was very clean, modern, and comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice, and afforded plenty of accommodations. Best of all, the open plan kitchen/living room/dining room area and adjoining deck made for a laid-back weekend of relaxing and catching up. We used the excellent gas grill for every meal (even breakfast), and ate on the deck overlooking the lake. We definitely hope to return to this house, and highly recommend it to others.

My family and I drove up from Florida to spend the week up at the lake. We could not of been happier with the home. The home looked great online, but even better in person. I cooked all week in the well appointed kitchen. The layout was perfect for us. The three kids slept downstairs and had a blast. It was their own private area. We had wifi, cable, enough sheets and towels, and a coffee maker. We will be back next year.

Cedar Point Coaster Trip

My brother and I brought a group of teenagers to Sandusky to visit Cedar Point Amusement Park in early June. View of Lake Erie is spectacular. The photos show the house accurately. Two large master bedrooms upstairs were great for the adults. Only one downstairs bedroom with 4 beds made things a little tight, but the teenage boys had no complaints. There was enough showers for all. Kitchen is nice and roomy. Nice deck for watching the lake. Convient location to Cedar Point amusement park.

Fantastic Memorial Weekend Stay

My wifes parents took us to the lake for a wonderful Memorial Day weekend getaway. Doug's house provided a perfect base for our weekend at Cedar Point. We were at the limit, with two couple, plus and additional adult, and five children, but were able to make it work, with the single adult and his son sleeping on the couch. Best arrangement would be two couples and four, maybe five kids. Everything is clean, shiny and new, and all works as you would expect. For an extended stay, there is a laundry room. Also had access to WiFi, although I did not see it listed in the original info. Natural gas grill is out on the patio, for easy evening burgers and dogs. Home is right on the Cedar Point Peninsula, about 3.5 miles south of the Cedar Point Park entrance. Go early, knock off for a late lunch back at the house, and go back later in the day. Location of this home makes it easy. Pretty much everything you need, save for food and drink, is already provided. Enjoy

My family and I stayed at this home during Easter weekend 2010. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. The house is beautiful as well as the views of Lake Erie. The rental process was so easy and we felt right at home. They had everything we would need already there. It was spacious and everyone was comfortable. This was a great experience I recommend to everyone.

We stayed at this property Oct 11-14 2009. We would definately return!! This property is close to all of the attractions yet feels far enough away to get out of all the hustle and bustle. The property itself was fantastic! The views of the lake were breathtaking. The layout is open and the house has a very modern design. All of the people in my group thanked me for finding such a cool place.

My family and I stayed at this beautiful home during the weekend of June 6th- what a wonderful experience! This house was simply beautiful and was the perfect place for our weekend trip to Cedar Point and Sandusky Bay. The views of the Lake are absolutely stunning from every room in the house. There are so many small details of the house that make it perfect- from the huge tri-level layout, to the unique bathroom, shower and sink designs, to the large kitchen and wet bar, to the high ceilings and push button skylight windows, to the clean and simple furnishings and decor- it was the complete house. It was also very, very convenient to Cedar Point and Sandusky Bay, which we enjoyed as well. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a quick weekend retreat, a week of summer vacation or even looknig for a residence for an extended period of time!

We stayed at this property in late May 2009. This is a very contemporary home that has an open floor plan, (one upstairs bedroom is open to the stairs, which may be a privacy issue for some folks, but not a problem for us). The property has some decks and balconies that overlook the lake. Cedar Point is right down the road. Plenty of parking with a garage. Owners live across the driveway so help is nearby if needed. To access the main floor, you have to go up steps, so if you don't do stairs well, keep that in mind. Overall we were very happy with the place.
