Where do I begin? We met Rose Mary by phone in January of this year. She is the most gracious woman we've ever met. We had an amazing time on our trip to South Carolina.....particularly Folly Beach. Everything was just as it was described. It was very down to earth and we were very comfortable. We were provided with all the necessities and made many trips to the Piggly Wiggly We came with our four grown children, their spouses ande boyfriends.....any our two grandbabies. We rented the whole duplex. Although we are a very close.....it also provided a little separationand privacy for everyone We went into Charleston a few times, but spent most of our time at Folly Beach and on Center Street. Woody's Pizza is great for a last night before you leave meal. We have our family pictures taken down by the lighthouse by a professional photographer........very serene and peaceful. We wouldn't trade it for anything. We will be back next summer either here or at one of her other homes. Thank you Rose Mary.....you're the best. Talk to you soon. Susan & Terry

Great House for Family and Friends"wedding week" May 23 - 30, 2010

It has become a tradition to have a "wedding Week" at the beach when our sons get married. First part of the week was for our sons and their friends to come and go and relax. Second half of week was for family coming from out of town, esp. grandparents. Since we don't live in Charleston anymore this house was great for that. Esp. the elevator we needed for my Mother. We LOVED the kitchen, the abundance of towels, and washer/dryer. Only negative I have is that I had a hard time getting the info on now to find the key. We left home 2 days before we were to check into the house for another engagement. I tried to contact the owner 2 days before we left and was unable to reach her. I left messages on home phone, cell phone and e-mail. I was beginning to panic. Reached her at home morning that we left and was given the info. In the signed contract it states that the info on how to get into the house will be sent after second and final payment is paid, in our case the first of April. I really don't think it should be the renters responsibility to have to call and get this info. We all get busy and hopefully this will not happen again.

Never stayed at this property. My review is attributed to here, as well as my sister's reviews. We stayed at another property Valinor, not listed. Was disappointed not to hear anything about a request to stay at Way north of Broad this summer. Nothing. Went with another rental property owner in Folly.

We rented the downstairs back in April and loved it so much we rented the whole house the week of October 10th! We were disappointed in the weather but not in the accomodations. Even though we had some chilly and rainy weather during our stay with a few sunshine days thrown in, we all had a fabulous time! Thanks Rose Mary for allowing us to stay at Footloose and Fancy Free! Can't wait to come back in the spring!

Great caretakers! We didn't stay at this exact location but did stay in one of their rentals and my husband and I loved it! We relaxed and enjoyed out time together. The place we stayed was real similar to our home it had three bedrooms and three baths and very clean. We did enjoy a couple of meals there and the apartment had everything we needed. Thanks for allowing us to share your home and we look forward to coming again. I even saved your phone number in my phone!

Folly Beach/Charleston has so much to offer and so does Valinor! We have stayed there 2 times so far and will definitely be back. It has a secluded quiet location yet it's just steps to the beach. The rental truly feels like a home that you would love to live in- from the lovely decor and all the space we need for our group of 5 to truly spread out. We love the town of Folly with it's laid back vibe and also loved our visits to Charleston when we felt like more action. The best of both worlds. This is a 5 star rental and the owner is wonderful to deal with.

Loved everything about Valinor!(second time we rented) The house is incredible, kitchen is large and well equipped. You hardly need to bring anything- towels, beach chairs are plentiful. Can't wait to stay here again, it's so close to the beach and we rode bikes all around Folly. Great vacation rental.

A+ Rental! Second time we stayed at Valinor- would return again and again. Accomodations are first class, owner is gracious and a pleasure to rent from. We rented the whole house early May , wonderful for more then one family. You have your seperate space but a stairway inside connecting the 2 levels. The walk to the beach is not far and you can hear the waves at night. Very clean and neat rooms. Only 6 blocks from downtown Folly. and 30 minutes from Charleston. Well stocked with dishes, towels, etc. We loved our time there and highly recommand renting this house. Cant wait to go back.

Folly Beach - Great Time

This is a very clean unit with everything you need. New carpet, fresh paint. Very comfortable cottage feeling. Just a short walk to the beach. Great location! Just bring your swimsuit, flip-flops and whatever you want to eat -- everything else is there! Woody's downtown Folly Beach has great pizza. It's just a short drive into downtown Charleston. Be sure to go to Hominy Grill for an awesome breakfast (it's a little hard to get to because of one way streets but worth the effort). We had a fantastic relaxing time! Owner was great to deal with and made setting it all up very easy.
