Not only conveniently located to the DC area via fully paved roads, it is centrally located to many of the West Virginia panhandle's premiere attractions including the Woods Resort and Spa, Charlestown WV(gambling), C&O Canal, Potomac River, Sleepy Creek Forest Reserve with lake and Hunting grounds, Antietem MD (Civil War battlefield),25 minutes from Berkeley Springs WV, 39 miles to Harper's Ferry and 30 minutes to shopping at the prime outlets of Hagerstown MD. We are also only 37 miles to Pennsylvania's White Tail Ski Resort!!
Join us for the wonderful Autumn Season! Curl-up in front of our 48" gas fireplace. Hiking, biking, rafting, canoeing and tubing can be done on the Potomac River or along the C&O Canal. Many organized excursions are based in historic Harper's Ferry, WV. or you could simply drive 20 minutes to Sleepy Creek Forest Reserve which touts a 200 acre lake, great bass fishing as well as being located right ON the Appalacian Trail!
Horseback riding at Cacapon National Park could be included in a day trip to Berkeley Springs. Berkeley Springs has a public swimming pool (Seasonal) for the kids and/or hot mineral springs for the adults. There is an old fashioned movie theatre with shows friday and saturday nights as well as seasonal events year-round.
