Custom designed in Asian retreat style, Absolute Zen is a tranquil, romantic getaway nestled into a hillside, surrounded by redwoods, overlooking the Russian River Valley. Very Tranquil, Private Setting Close to Downtown Guerneville. Gourmet Kitchen; Spacious Bedroom with King Bed and Sitting Area. Wide, Flatscreen Televisions with Cable and DVD; Two Gas Fireplaces. Redwood Forest Views from Every Window. Dining Set on Deck with Gas Grill; Hot Tub and Outdoor Shower on Separate Deck; Sauna with ½ bath; Meditation Yurt. Securely Fenced Yard. WIFI. Keyless Entry.
The woodsy location of this home is punctuated by artistically placed windows offering views of redwood forest wherever you look. The living room has a dining area, and there are a few steps up to the adjacent kitchen. The bathroom is on the landing of the steps up to the bedroom, which has a sitting area, a loft and a balcony. Off the living room, there's a deck with dining set and grill. Steps lead down to a fenced yard, hot tub, garden, hammock, sauna and meditation room (with half bath).
Minimum Stay: 2 nights, EXCEPT 3 nights Mem Day through mid-June, Labor Day through Columbus Day, and Holidays/Event Week-Ends, 4 nights Thanksgiving, and 7 nights mid-June through August (short bookings list available starting in March). Summer turn day: Monday
Maximum Occupancy: 4 overnight guests, including kids over two. Up to 6 day guests may be allowed (additional fees may apply), with advance approval. By county ordinance: no parties, no weddings; quiet hours are 10pm-9am.

The house was great and so were the amenities. I agree with the other reviews, and recommend this property. We did blow a fuse, and didn't find the fuse box till the next day (it's outside of the house next to the driveway, across from the sauna). And following the rules, had to wash and fold our own sauna towels, which wasn't my favorite part of packing up. But overall we had a great time. The outdoor shower was heavenly and the hot tub was hot. Enjoyed the sauna. Bed was very comfortable. Nice, clean, calm... it's a great getaway.

Absolute Zen was all it was promised to be; a lovely getaway among the redwoods with all the amenities of home. Spacious yet cozy, both my husband and I could work without being on top of each other and the space encouraged us to just be. We will definitely return!

5 of 5 We had possibly the best vacation we have ever had and absolute Zen had a lot to do with it. We have been to Guernville and the Russian River many times before and have rented some nice houses before but nothing comes close to how awesome absolute Zen is, will definitely rent this house the next time we are in the areaDid you find this review helpful?
