  We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. From morning breakfast and coffee on the balcony to an afternoon nap in the hammock.... Convenient to the Econo grocery store - you can walk or drive - and there is a beach a one minute walk away (and that block is grassy with grazing cows) with calm waters good for kids, as well as an ice cream shop and a place to get drinks. Eduardo is great and easy to work with as is the condo manager. We did not think we would use the pool but we certainly enjoyed it at the end of the day and evening - I think its open from 8am -10pm. We always had the pool to ourselves Highly recommended.

  Le agradecemos mucho por la estadía, a nosotros nos encantó el sitio. Es bien tranquilo, los vecinos y otros huéspedes bien humildes y buena gente. El apartamento es bien lindo, está muy bien decorado y es cómodo. ¡Mejor que un hotel! Además tiene todo lo que puedas necesitar, no nos hizo falta absolutamente nada. Está muy bien localizado, bien cerca de la playa y accesible a otros puntos de interés. Muy buen sitio para relajarse y pasarla bien. Definitivamente volveríamos a alquilar. ¡Muchas Gracias!

  This unit was on the top floor of 5 floor condo complex. Everything exactly as it appeared in photos. We were so nervous about arriving late and the directions prooved to be flawless. Econo grocery store and corner bakery down the road.Property clean and well maintained. Although wish water pressure could've been a bit stronger. Owner provided immediate email responses, no hesitations on our part as he made us feel comfortable. Thank you for this experience with my family in Rincon.

  My family spent a wonderful week in Rincon over Spring Break. The condo was clean, comfortable, and easy to relax in. The internet worked well, the views were good, and the pool was lovely. The kids really enjoyed lying in the hammock. We cooked quite a few meals in the kitchen, and the washer and dryer were very useful to us. In the evenings we watched DVDs. The manager was helpful and friendly, and the owner was easy to communicate with and even called us during our stay to ensure that we had everything we needed. The complex was fairly quiet, even over the Easter weekend. We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of Rincon. Most days we left our rental car in the covered space at the condo and walked to different beaches. We enjoyed surfing at Maria's beach, and swimming at Steps beach best, although Domes beach was beautiful and the public beach very active. We ate at many different restaurants, shopped at the local grocery store, and rented DVDs from the local rental store. Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly, and the weather was fantastic. The driving distances in Puerto Rico are a bit deceptive. Expect every trip to take longer than the gps or mapquest anticipates. We drove from San Juan to Rincon and next time we would try to fly into Aguadilla, as there was a lot of stop and go traffic once we got off the toll road. We also drove to the Aricebo Observatory and that took a long while too. If you want a relaxing vacation, in a beautiful part of Puerto rico, with most amenities I recommend Mi Refugio in Rincon.

I definitely recommend flying into the Aguadilla Airport, instead of San Juan, when coming to Rincon. It's just a 20-minute drive from Aguadilla Airport to my home.   Dear Eduardo, mi amigo, Muchas gracias for opening your apartamento hermoso con nosotros. It was perfect! A block from the beach and a short drive to all we needed. Maria's Beach and Calypso Cafe were a favorite hangout (we all loved the dorado burrito!). There's a stretch of sand to the left that offered a perfect beach day — no rocks, so easy access into the water, umbrellas and chairs for rent. What luxury! One day we wandered south a bit and came upon a public beach in a residential section. Smooth flat sand. The crabs were entertaining for Steve as he watched them scurry in and out of holes. Pintos R Us had a lovely horseback ride — onto the beach up near Domes.

  Eduardo's condo is clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The building and surrounding area are peaceful and the beaches of the Sunset Coast are a 5-minute drive away. We really enjoyed the diversity of the neighborhood -- there were bars full of surfers, quality restaurants, and plenty of authentic local flavor. After a day at the beach it was lovely to come back to the apartment and swing in the hammock, or sink into the cushions of the sofa. The lovely tropical breezes flow through the apartment. We never needed to turn on the a/c -- the ceiling fans provided plenty of cooling. Finishing the day with one last swim in the cool outdoor pool was heaven, before relaxing on the balcony as the evening slipped into night, then gathering around the table to play one of the board or word games, available, was the ending to another perfect day. Wish we were still there.

  I stayed with my family in this beautiful cozy apartment that had everything at reach. All the commodities one would need, such as tv with cable, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, games to play, books etc. Beautifully furnished and with an equipped kitchen. Blocks away from everything needed, pharmacies, supermarkets, beautiful beaches,restaurants that you can walk to. Moreover, the best place to come back after a day full of activities, calm and quiet and with wonderful neighbors. Magnificent sunsets!!! A must to stay. Indeed as the owner calls it "Mi Refugio"!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Tu apartamento tiene todo lo que uno necesita para sentirse en casa y, adicionalmente, está ubicado en una zona rica en bellezas naturales y paradisíacas playas caribeñas. Desde acá visitamos playas que no habíamos tenido la oportunidad de conocer a pesar de tener 7 años viviendo en esta hermosa isla. Una vez más, muchas gracias y éxitos.   I just came back from a two-week vacation in Rincon, Puerto Rico, where I stayed in the most beautiful and conveniently-located condo apartment, one block away from the public beach. As the name states (Mi Refugio), this is the perfect refuge from all your cares in the world. Well-kept, clean and close to all the action in Rincon (beautiful beaches, especially for surfers, restaurants, parks, and other activities) the apartment also offers all the amenities possible to make one's stay enjoyable. For people who may want to skip the active night life in and around Rincon, the apartment is well equipped with board games, a huge flat-screen HD TV, DVD player and books. Both the owner and manager of the apartment were available at any time for questions, recommendations and solving problems if necessary. I would recommend this apartment highly to anyone interested in visiting Puerto Rico, especially the region called Porta del Sol.

  This condo is lovely, well equipted, clean and close to the main public beach in Rincon. The town of Rincon is very friendly and welcoming. Be sure to visit all the local beaches. We especially like to go to Pools Beach for great views of the sunsets. Good resturants at Tamboo and the Lazy Parrot. Good breakfast in town at the BBQ place. Just be sure to use the shower to clean your feet before entering the pool. Bugs and insects on the beach were not a problem.

  Eduardo, We had such a good time here in Rincón and at your condo. You had everything available that we needed. The couches are soooo comfortable. We partied with some of your neighbors at the pool ... . The cooked us paella and ribs on the grill. We even got to taste "homemade" rum!! They were awesome. ...   Just returned from a wonderful vacation the this stunningly beautiful condo. The condo had every amenity that you could possibly wish for, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Perfectly situated to all of the terrific beaches and restaurants that Rincon is famous for. I highly recommend "Mi Refugio" as a wonderful place to come "home" to at the end of the day.

  A lovely, clean, reasonably priced and convenient place. Just five minutes from the surfing beaches of Rincon by car, 15 minutes by bicycle. Views of the ocean too! And a totally outfitted kitchen for those who want to cook in. One block away there's a tranquil beach if the big waves at Playa Maria are too much for you. There you can rent bikes, buy wine, eat at the Harbor Restaurant. Or you can just take the elevator downstairs to the pool, where there are outdoor showers and quiet. Not a lot of people there during the week at all, so it feels as if you have the whole condo building to yourself. On weekends a few more apartments are occupied, but everyone is civil and friendly. No wild parties and loud music. It really is a "refugio"--a refuge. You can be as laid back as you like or take in the nightlife of Rincon, Playa Timbu or go south 15 minutes to Anasco, which is lined with restaurants and other diversions. Cabo Rojo, with it's breathtakingly beautiful cove and white-sand beaches is just an hour's drive south. Ponce is not far beyond. So culture is easily at hand if you want. And there's plenty of natural beauty. Each night you return to a modern, casually furnished comfortable apartment. There's a video store just down the street for vegging out in front of the TV, and a little plaza a few blocks away to shop and eat in. I highly, highly recommend this place!! Jorge
