Located on the spectacular west coast of beautiful San Juan Island, this new 2500 square feet is detailed in Northwest wooden architecture. It is especially children friendly. Located near Kanaka Bay the location is secluded on 2.5 acres and very private. Sitting on the front deck you will see Orcas, boat traffic, raccoon, deer and fox. One eagles nest to the east, herons, hummingbirds and kingfisher will delight the birding enthusiast. San Juan Island rated in the top 10 North American Island Destinations by Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Enjoy biking, hiking, historic seaside Roche Harbor or Friday Harbor, whale watching with San Juan Excursions , kayaking with Crystal Seas kayaking, shopping, wine tasting, boating, fishing, beach combing, golf, bowling or scuba diving.
Ferries operate on a first-come, first-serve basis with no reservations available. It is advisable to be at the Anacortes departure terminal at least one hour prior to sailing times, and during weekend, holiday and the high summer season, substantially more time should be allowed. The Anacortes terminal offers light refreshments, and there is a walking beach nearby. Your visit begins at the terminal, so bring some food and enjoy the party!

Our family has lived on the island for over 30 years. We built this home as a team and love the quiet location where we can hear the tide rushing by from the deck and all sorts of birds calling.

The home was perfect for our family vacation. It provided a wonderful setting for our vacation with our 3 children and their families (all 10 of us - 7 adults and 3 children). We were able to enjoy many of the activities on San Juan and still have a private setting for our families. the accomodations were excellent as advertised and the 3 granddaughters (ages 4,6 & 7) had a great time with the Hobbit Room. They also enjoyed the toys outside and in the house. The living area is great for a family get-together and meals at one table. Our children found it a great place for their daily runs. All in all, a place we would definitely consider returning to again!

We had a great time, the kitchen/living area on the top floor with the view of the water was so much fun for the 7 of us - it is perfect to have all the sleeping places on the 1st floor and the gathering places on the second floor. The flowers outside were beautiful and Po was very helpful when we called. The Pictures accurately describe the property and I would definitely recommend the property.

This was such a comfortable place to stay. We had a great time with our parents and my brother's family. Everything was where we needed it and the kitchen was well equipped. The instructions from the owner were very helpful and informative. We saw eagles from the kitchen window every day, and just about every day we saw orcas from the upstairs windows as well. I can't say enough good things about our stay and our vacation.

What a wonderful time was had by our families during our week together at this wonderful home tucked between forest and water. We could bake, cook, and have drinks looking out into the Haro Straits. The house had all that we needed and was clean and organized. The kids had a great time and so did the adults who did not have to worry about the kids playing in the house or out in the yard - well, maybe when the stick sword fighting started to get out of hand. There was so much to do in and around the house that the television remained off for 6 of the 7 days. Every night after dinner, we took a short stroll to False Bay and had it all to ourselves to watch the crabs in the tide pools, take a walk out to the middle of the bay during low tide, and even see whales breaching in the distance. Magic! We will definitely be back.

This is a great property. The view is incredible! The Olympic Mountains and water visible all the time! The house is large and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and can handle all your cooking needs. The living area is open and large with comfortable furnishings and a stellar view. All the bedrooms are lovely, the master suite has a huge tub and show and its own deck. The decks are wonderful, as well as the backyard with gardens and lawn. The location is easy to find and a great base for exploring the southern and western sides of the island. It is about 10mins from Friday Harbor. We have several couples and a few kids in tow. We all had a wonderful time and look forward to our next chance to return.

Our extended family had a delightful week-long vacation here - the house was perfect for our group of 10 (7 adults, 3 kids). Spacious and very comfortable, well-designed and well-equipped (from the kitchen to games & movies) -- just as described and actually better than pictured. Lovely views of the sea & mountains, and wonderful location on the west coast, convenient to many attractions on the island. We had fun making s'mores at the fire pit and will treasure our memories of this week. Highly recommended. Thank you, Po!
