The owners, Jennifer and Jim, were very accommodating and helpful when it comes to organizing our stay. We stayed here with our two young boys (3 and 18mos.), my in-laws, my parents, and my sister. There was a bedroom for each person/couple, a bathroom for each bedroom, and plenty of space to spread out. We loved the screened in patio for evenings, and the private beach was amazing for the kids to collect seashells and dig around, although not a soft beach, it was great. The house is well maintained and clean. There was a great big table for meals together, and the grill and table outside worked out really well too. The views are unbeatable, and the breeze off the ocean can be felt in nearly every room. I would recommend this place to anyone. For us, the week-long price is too steep... but for 4 days, it was fine. Not the owners fault, but there are 2 dogs next door that can be loud and run onto the beach. They are held back by an electric fence, so we were never worried about them coming over, but they often barked loudly, usually at the exact moment we were trying to get the boys down for their naps!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, girls getaway.

First time I have heard about Casey and Fergus , we are blessed with thoughtful,nice neighbors and they now have bark control collars that work beautifully. HINT: Animals just want to know you are ok , so a gentle hello usually calms them right down.

July 13, 2012 Dear Jennifer and Jim, What a lovely place to spend the week of fourth of July with our children and grandchildren. We were quite a bunch with 6 of them under 7 years old (the youngest is 17 months .) Your beachfront is perfect for swimming and sandcastle building for these ages (even for building a campfire and enjoying S'Mores one evening!) and the yard provided hours of additional play time for them. We rented a boat one day and most tried tubing for added entertainment right there in the Sound in front of your home. For those of us who didn't partake, being able to watch the fun from your point was outstanding! The accommodations for the entire week were just gorgeous – it didn’t hurt that we had temperatures in the 90’s most days and beautiful weather – fireworks and floating patriotic band around the Thimble Islands to boot. Thank you for a splendid family vacation. You are great hosts and great to work with. Would recommend your place to anyone. Keep cool. About the owner: We have loved this spot for over 25 years . Now the summers call us away and want to share with others. What great memories to give your children /bon fires on the beach w/ acoustic guitar -shell hunting -sand castles/clam bakes and tidal pools w/ sea ceatures! Kayaking -bird watching. Egrets,swans,ducks rabbits, foxes and deer all live here. I have worked for NYC firms in investment banking...Jennifer has an interior design business and also has run an antique shop and a gourmet gelato/ice cream shop. Our son is a touring musician based in Williamsburg [Brooklyn]. Our daughter is an international relations specialist -having lived all over the mid-east,she presently resides in Berlin,Germany .
Why the Owner Chose Branford:
Stony Creek is one of the most desirable communities on the Ct. shore. We have a great cross section of the American people --celebrities and fishing folks.
