Nestled on 3 mature wooded acres, the Bayfield Bungalow (BB) is just north of Bayfield, Wisconsin, within walking distance of downtown.
Bayfield, known as the New England town in the upper midwest, is on the south shore of Lake Superior and is noted for its mild summer climate. Bayfield is also known for its wonderful art festivals, golf, sightseeing, unique shops and restaurants.
Bayfield is also the jumping-off point to many available activities including; historic Madeline Island and the early American fur trading post of LaPointe ( serviced by car and passenger ferries), the 22 islands comprising the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, rated No. 2 on a National Geographic Travelers list of the top 10 National Parks, a number of marinas offering boat charters or excursions to the islands and lighthouses; rent a kayak to explore the sea caves carved by Lake Superior, rent a bicycle or hike the many trails, sand beaches or the northwood forests of N. Wisconsin.
Bayfield is also known for its fruit orchards including apples, cherries, peaches, plums, raspberries, blueberries and strawberries. The BB offers a quiet summer retreat with abundant wildlife and wildflowers. Ceiling fans are located in each bedroom and in the dining room for those few days when an open window is not quite enough. We provide the landscaping and lawn care during the summer and are readily available should any questions or concerns arise. The BB has been freshly painted and cleaned. All you need are your personal items and food, just open the door and you have started your most enjoyable summer in Northern Wisconsin.
