We have a beautiful mountain home in Grand County, Co that is equipped with a brand new hot tub installed in August 2009. It is a short drive (15 minutes) to Winter Park/Mary Jane ski resort and Granby Ranch Resort (formerly Sol Vista and Silver Creek). Other neaby attractions include Snow Mountain Ranch, Devil's Thumb Ranch, Rocky Mountain National Park, 3 golf courses, and many lakes.
It is amazing all of the activities that you have access to from our location in Tabernash! Just to name a few... skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing, sledding, sleigh rides, and snowmobiling in the winter months to hiking, mountain biking, boating, fishing, waterskiing and sailing in the warmer months.
As you enter our home from the front door or the heated garage, you will step into a large "mudroom" where you can leave all of your wet snow gear and coats. Stop there and play a game of foosball if you wish! Upstairs is the main level featuring a large fully equipped open kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.
The master bedroom (satellite TV) with a huge 5 piece bathroom and enormous closet are on that main level as well as the family room with a flat screen LCD television, DVD player and a video library, satellite, Xbox and games, stereo with an iPod docking station, and a large selection of family games and books. That main floor has a half bath and 2 decks to let yourself into the Great Outdoors! The master bedroom also has a door that opens onto the huge front deck. You may use our wireless internet service for free, or plug in the ethernet cable if you do not have a wireless card. The back deck off of the kitchen is home to the brand new 6 person hot tub and bbq grill.
The top floor has the other 2 bedrooms: one with a queen bed (TV and satellite) and a kids' Bunkroom complete with a twin over full bunk bed, a full size captains' bed, and a secret hideaway! This kids' room also has a satellite TV and DVD player. We also have a washer and dryer on the upstairs floor for your convenience. The house uses in-floor radiant heat so your tootsies stay nice and warm even in the tiled bathrooms! We have a nice fire pit outside as well, if you feel the urge to make smores, or have "campfire" food.
The views from our home are breathtaking and we can't wait to share it with you!

A Bear loves nothing better than a mountain retreat. That’s why I rounded up some friends headed for the hills to an amazing, spacious house in Tabernash, Colorado. Mother Nature welcomed us with beautiful blue skies over the snow topped mountains.
Driving through the nearby towns of Fraser and Winter Park we saw skiers and boarders on the slopes as well as many shops and restaurants. The quaint town of Fraser is home to the famous tubing hill which we all enjoyed during our stay.
Beyond the city we drove up the mountainside to our beautiful destination! Upon entering this mountain retreat we stepped into a very spacious mudroom that contained plenty of room for all of our winter gear. The foosball table was an added bonus to this area where my friends enjoyed some friendly competition during our stay.
Heading upstairs to the main floor we were pleased to see the open layout of the kitchen and living areas. The beautiful stone fireplace and mantel added a warmth to the living space. The full wall of sliding doors off the living area provided an amazing view of the mountains!
The large master suite including it’s own bathroom and walk-in closet were also on the main floor. The door off the deck was a nice addition to the suite. The younger cubs will enjoy the third floor bunkroom and hidden play area.
After spending time on the nearby slopes we were able to relax in the hot tub under the stars and even a light snowfall. Overall, this is the perfect place for a great mountain retreat and would also be a wonderful vacation get-away during the summer months with many opportunities for hiking, boating and fishing nearby!

Why the Owner Chose Tabernash
Grand County is our favorite area to ski in. The Winter Park resort area is much more laid back and casual, and much less crowded than the resort areas along I-70 and on the western slope. The drive is beautiful all the way from Denver. Grand Lake and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is easily accessible from our home. The sheer number of hiking and mountian biking trails we have at our disposal is amazing! We have spectacular views of the Indian Peaks and the Winter Park Resort from our front deck. We couldn't be happier here, and we know you'll thoroughly enjoy yourselves as well.

John and Dana live in Littleton (Denver), Colorado with their 3 children ranging in age from 8 years to 1 year old. They love spending time at our mountain home in all seasons and try to stay active outdoors. John is an avid golfer and frequents Pole Creek just 5 minutes away from our mountain home, and Dana primarily plays tennis. They both love to hike and mountain bike in Grand County. In the winter, skiing is their thing and their favorite slopes are at Mary Jane (Winter Park). The 2 older children are getting the ski bug and the little one will too, when he is old enough! Sledding and playing in the snow around the house is the children's favorite thing to do so far. Well, that, and making s'mores at the fire pit on the side of the house! They also have 2 golden retriever dogs that LOVE the outdoors and can't wait to get out of the car as soon as they feel the turn onto the driveway at the mountain house.

We rented this cabin over the Labor Day weekend so that our daughters could attend the Chinese Heritage held at the Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA just up the road. We shared the cabin with another family and had a wonderful time. The cabin was clean, easy to get too, and has gorgeous views. We can't wait to go back again. And the Wi-Fi available gives you the option to keep up on email, Facebook, etc., if you would like, so you can bring your laptop.

Great house, Very nice and updated inside. Way more then i was expecting. Very Clean , Beautiful views off of front deck. Fairly close to everything. Great updated Kitchen, loved the Radiant Heat. We were having a wedding up the street and we rented the house for some family and friends. Worked out perfectly, everyone loved it. The owner was fantastic and very responsive during the whole process. I would highly recommend this house to anyone staying in the Fraser Valley (anytime of the year), its a far better deal then most other rental properities in the area.

This beautiful mountain home was very warm, inviting and had wonderful views from every room. The owners were wonderful to work with. We enjoyed the hot tub especially while looking at the snowy scenery. The location was perfect for us close to the YMCA of the Rockies and Grand Lake. There was even a Christmas tree for our holiday vacation - they think of everything! The home is set up very nice and is beautifully decorated! Love the floor to ceiling windows and patio setting. Looking forward to re-visiting in the winter to soak in the hut-tub again and gaze at the stars. "Turn off the porch light and the skies light up." Can't wait to make smores on that fire-pit too. We really enjoyed the secluded location high up on the hill off the beaten path. Photos are good but don't do the place any justice! We found it very comfortable and relaxing. We will be back!

Our family stayed here for a week in July 2010. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond to all inquiries. The home is new and nice, a perfect mountain retreat. Beautiful views, of course. It was much nicer than we expected from the photos: very spacious, not very close to neighbors, and easy to use for entertaining the wedding party gathered for our daughter's wedding. The floorplan lends itself to way more privacy AND open space than one would think when reading "3 br, 2.5 baths". The Bakers have thought of everything that guests might need, and it's there. For us, the significant amount of storage space was particularly helpful. The hot tub is well-maintained and very easy to use and re-cover. Firewood was available for the fire pit, with a water hose handy. We enjoyed the gas range in the kitchen, as well as the large grill on the back deck. We liked the shower in the master bath, and the large master closet housed all of our electronics related to the wedding events with space to spare! The front deck (in the main photo) was a perfect place to hang out and view the mountains. And the wildlife and wildflowers! We saw two black bears wander up the ravine behind the house one morning. The location was very handy for us, with family and friends located in Granby, Tabernash, Fraser, and Winter Park. Great value! Thanks for helping to make our daughter's wedding week so awesome!

This home was exactly what we expected and the owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. The house is spacious and very clean. I especially liked the location between Winter Park and Grand Lake. Both areas offer fun activities for the entire family. We enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the decks. The views are fabulous. The hot tub is wonderful. I highly recommend this property.

Very beautiful home, makes you wish it was yours! Very private. Owners were very easy to deal with, answered all my questions, and were very nice. My family is already talking about the next time we stay there. We have stayed at alot of the places in Winterpark for the last 15-20 years and this place is by far the best place we stayed at.

We visited this home with our young children and parents who were visiting from Virginia. It was exactly what we were looking for and more! The home was beautifully decorated and incredibly clean. It is a very safe home to visit with young children, and although we brought and used our own baby equipment, the owners had a high chair, exersaucer and pack-n-play there which would be a huge plus if you have a child under 1. The upstairs bedrooms were wonderful - clean, spacious, flat-screen TVs a nice plus! My parents loved the large master bath, and our children loved taking baths in the big tub. The decor was modern, up-to-date, but still had a colorado mtn home feel. The great room was large and open. The foyer as you come in from the garage is great to store jackets and shoes! Location of the home make it easy to head to Winter Park or Grand Lake, quick drive to Fraser for groceries and very near the YMCA which has lots of recreation activities too. Owners were very professional and helpful. Would suggest a few larger pots and pans - my family loves to cook and we had to be a bit creative at times.
