This wonderful 4 bedroom/3 bathroom house is the perfect place to relax in and from which to base all of your Sun Valley adventures. The incredible views and central location cannot be overstated!
Warm up next to the rock fireplace and look out of the floor to ceiling windows surrounding it to watch skiers on Bald and Dollar Mountains. The kitchen and laundry areas have brand new appliances and were Completely Renovated this last year. The kitchen and living room floors are now heated and a big hit! The kitchen is complete and equipped with cookware, dishware, utensils and basic supplies. Linens are provided (bedding and towels) along with a washer and dryer.
The first master bedroom has a king bed and a new shower in the bathroom. A second room contains two twin beds and a third has one twin and one queen bed. With a separate entrance downstairs, there is a one bedroom apartment with a queen bed, a bathroom with a shower and kitchenette.
An additional common bathroom contains a tub/shower combination.
The private hot tub sits just steps outside the back door and looks upon Bald Mountain and up to the amazing central Idaho skies. High-speed wireless internet access is available at the house - just bring your laptop. Sun Valley Lodge amenity access is included with house rental (this includes the use of their incredible pools, fitness center, and locker rooms) so you get the best of both worlds - the luxury of the Lodge and the comfort and privacy of a private home.
We are pet-friendly with prior approval. PLEASE NOTE MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: There is "bed space" for nine people and an enforced maximum occupancy of ten guests in the home. Thank you for your understanding.

The Unique Benefits at this House
Staying at our home makes sense. It is just a short walk to the Sun Valley Lodge, it borders the wildflower covered (or sledding-ready) Penny Hill and has clear views of both Bald and Dollar Mountains. The free Ketchum shuttle passes the driveway, cross-country and snowshoe trails start across the road, a paved bikepath leads from the house to Ketchum, and the stars shine clearly above the private hot tub sitting just outside the back door.
We love to hop the fence and sled on Penny Hill in the winter and climb it to look over Ketchum in the summer. House rental includes Recreation Passes to the lodge which entitle guests to use the various incredible pools at the lodge, along with the locker rooms and fitness center. It also provides discounts on golf greens fees with priority tee times and discounted tennis court rentals.
The center of the Sun Valley universe. Use the pools, game room, fitness center with the Rec Cards provided when renting our home. Dine at Gretchen's or have a drink at the Duchin Room. Sunday Brunch in the dining room is a must! Take time to look at the pictures of the famous visitors lining the Lodge hallways.

The home is a wonderful legacy provided to our family by our parents/grandparents. The property was originally received in exchange for professional work done for the Sun Valley Company (the Lodge) around 40 years ago. This explains its perfect location adjacent to Penny Hill - as it has great views looking up to both Bald and Dollar Mountains. A beautiful house was built and has been cared for and updated regularly since. It's a place of peace and relaxation for our family.

We were very happy with our stay here. Kids loved the sleds in the garage the great hill across the fence. They also loved the cards to the lodge and went swimming over there every night. We could all walk to the lodge for the pool and dinner which was very nice. The fireplace and heated floors were magnificent. The kitchen was nice and modern with good appliances. My husband loved the hot tub after skiing and our adult daughter appreciated the downstairs apartment. She and her husband liked their own space. We will definitely return next year. Thanks for sharing your home.

Clearly a family gem, we felt welcome in your heirloom home and felt like part of your family for a short time! Sparkling clean and stocked full of crisp white towels, kitchenware, spices and wood- anything we needed. We used absolutely every amenity- fireplace, wi-fi, home theatre, bbq, hot tub, on and on. We loved the proximity and perks of the hotel and trail. Plus, we had guests come and go at odd times, so the apartment worked great for them. But, the best part was the living area views- it made the trip! Thanks so much for such a fun time!

We had a wonderful visit to Sun Valley, and enjoyed staying in your home. The views are beautiful, and all the kids enjoyed sledding on the huge hill!
