This beautiful, family home offers a great, private location above West Vail in the exclusive and rarely-rented Aspen Grove Lane neighborhood of Vail. The traditional chalet-style home combines mountain and Arts&Crafts style and features authentic period pieces.
This home is terrific for the rambunctious family or vacationing couples because everyone can enjoy their own spaces, as well as togetherness! Parents can retreat to the luxurious master suite which occupies the entire third floor. Everyone can gather in the family room with an inviting gas fireplace and 50 inch LCD television, OR slip away to the quieter living room with grand, wood fireplace and views of the Gore Range. Sick of the kids? Boot them down to the teen room which features a 54 inch lcd home theater, Simpson pinball machine, Xbox with plenty of games, and extra sleeping area.
This home is on a private cul-de-sac with plenty of room for walking, has a backyard with patio and grill, and trail access nearby, and a 5-minute drive to the slopes. Both winter and summer, the home is protected from highway noise. Bring the dog but please leave cats at home as the owners are allergic.
This home offers 4 bedrooms: master suite with luxurious bath and jetted tub on the third floor; queen bed and private bath on main level; three bunk beds with shared bath on main level; queen bed with hall bath on ground level.
Vail offers the finest in beginner level ski facilities and world class advanced bowl and powder skiing anywhere! Summer Vail is the best time to visit the Colorado high country, and this is a wonderful summer house backing up to an aspen grove and wildlife filled forest!

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We love this place because it's in Vail but tucked away in a quiet cul de sac that feels very mountain-y. Private and protected from highway noise. Also, there's plenty of room to walk the dog. This may sound like a small thing but when the snow is piled 8 ft high on the street edges in mid-season, cars can barely pass, never mind room for the dogs. No place to romp!

After many ski vacations in Vail, I bought this house 12 years ago when my son (the big kid) went off to CU from the Washington, DC area so we could all ski, ski, ski. And that we did. We also had many family gatherings here, friends come to stay, enjoyed all of the seasons (more as I got older and did less skiing), and made good friends. But I never imagined that it would become such a loved HOME for us all that my first grandbaby (the little one) would be born here! We're away from home for a little while, but we hope you enjoy it in our absence.
