STONE CROSSING HOUSE - This beautiful 5 bedroom, fully furnished vacation home is located in the Pikes Peak Region of Colorado Springs, Colorado near the US Air Force Academy.
The house is available for those looking for a place to call their very own home away from home. You have exclusive use of this house for up to 9 weeks per school year, whether for vacations, conferences, business trips, USAFA events, or a place to write your memoirs, your business plan, a book, or to just enjoy a sabbatical from the hectic pace of life.
You can use the house as a weekend retreat for your cadet, a place to entertain your friends, or as your own private getaway.
We have several vacation packages available for rental periods of 6 months or longer. If you are looking for a permanent residence of 6 months or longer, we have a low monthly rate for unlimited residential use.
The US Air Force Academy's North entrance is only 5 minute drive. Focus on the Family is less than a 10 minute drive. Looking for more? Denver is only 45 minutes away! The Breckenridge Ski Area is approximately 2-1/2 hours away.
The Pikes Peak Region is a wonderful place to be, with many natural wonders and points of interest to enjoy. Drive to the top of 14,110 ft Pikes Peak in your car or ride the cog-railway. Visit Santa’s North pole workshop. See the famous Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Will Rogers Shrine. Stroll through fabulous Garden of the Gods. Explore Cave of the Winds. Take a walk back in time by visiting the Manitou Cliff dwellings, a realistic re-creation of the primitive stone dwellings of the Anasazi Indians who lived in the four-corners region of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah until about 1300 AD. Visit the Air Force Academy. Take in a class AAA baseball game.
The Glen Eagle and Pine Creek golf courses are challenging, links-type public golf courses, and only 10 minutes away.
This beautiful 5 bedroom 4 bath home is fully furnished for your convenience. The house sleeps a maximum of 12 people. Here are the sleeping arrangements: Main level Master Bedroom: King bed with spacious 6-piece bathroom with separate tub, shower, double vanity and walk-in closet. Bedroom 2: Queen sofa-sleeper. Walk-out level Bedroom #3: Twin. Bedroom #4: Queen. Bedroom #5: King. Sleeping alcove off family room: queen sofa-sleeper.
The walk-out level also has a family room with 5.1 surround sound home theater, a wet bar, pool table, and game area. The lower level also has a hall bath (shared with bedroom 5) with shower/tub, a jack/jill bath with shower/tub (shared by bedrooms 3 and 4), and a walk out patio overlooking the pond.
The main level has a living room, dining room, gourmet kitchen with island, breakfast nook (views of Pikes Peak and the pond), desk and library (as part of bedroom 2). There are books and games for the entire family. The main level also has ½ bath and laundry room.
From the covered back deck you can BBQ, enjoy the majestic views of Pikes Peak and the US Air Force Academy, and enjoy the peaceful pond in your own back yard. Others of your family can be downstairs in the entertainment room playing pool, watching a movie in the home theater, or playing a table game. Play your favorite CD on the house audio system.
Stone Crossing House is fully air-conditioned, has a 3-car garage, and is wired with free hi-speed internet access. It is available for long term leases.

This is a beautiful property, located in a very quiet neighborhood. The picture is of the back of the house where many hours of just sipping coffee on this deck and admiring the view took place. It's 20 minutes away from downtown Colorado Springs and close to freeway access. The house itself is very spacious and beautiful. There are techniqually four bedrooms and two seperate rooms with a sofa sleeper. This was a family gathering for us and the house worked out perfectly. The teens really enjoyed the pool table. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. We weren't that far away from most of the local tourist attractions, which made it a plus.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
Owner response: A clarification of the number of bedrooms: The house does have five legal bedrooms. There are four bedrooms with beds. The 5th is also a legal bedroom (with a closet) and direct access to the hall bath. What makes it appear to not be a bedroom is that it is set up as a den, with full-size sofa sleeper and desk. Thus it serves a dual purpose as a bedroom and an office/den.
