Perfect Weekend Getaway RIGHT on the Lake

We stayed at this house with a group of friends with young kids and it was the perfect place for us: comfortable, clean, very relaxing, lots of open space, nice yard, right on the water, very family friendly yet cool. This was one of the few experiences I have had on VRBO where the house is actually much nicer than the pictures (and the pictures were great). The open layout of the home features views of the lake throughout and there are a ton of great places to lounge while enjoying the water including the back porch, the mini-beach, the hammock and the huge floating deck which is full of comfortable lounge chairs and is surrounded by a baby proof railing. It was the perfect romper room since the adults could relax with a beer or margarita while the kids ran around and had fun. The house also came equipped with all sorts of fun activities from giant rafts and floats to board games like Scattergories so we took full advantage and floated on the lake during the day and then rolled out gamenight once the kids had gone to sleep. We were attracted to this place b/c it was right on the lake yet only 20 mins from downtown Austin but once we got there we didn't really want to leave b/c it was so relaxing. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back.

We rented this home for a quick weekend get-a-way and had a GREAT time!!! Our family that came in from out of town were blown away and loved it!! The home is beautiful, clean, spacious, open, and best of all the lake is your back yard!!!!!!!!!! I truly recommend renting the boat that the house has access to, it is super convenient to come and go as you wish. The top deck is great for dinners, sun tanning, or just simply hanging out. Shari and her husband (owners of the home) are awesome! Very accommodating and super sweet!! Seriously this house has it all, we loved our stay and we will definitely come back!!

We stayed at Hodges Lodges for three nights in August. The house is fantastic -- immaculate, very nice, and had everything we needed, including coolers for the boat! The lake view is incredible. Shari, the owner, was so nice and helpful. She even took us out on her boat when the rental had mechanical issues. We can't wait to come back next summer!
